ScoolX app provides disadvantaged children and youth a personalised and interactive way to learn English to give them better prospects for career opportunities in a globalised world.

Scoolx is about improving disadvantaged youth’s prospect for better career opportunities in the globalised world.

Research has shown that the younger the child starts learning a language, the better they will be able to communicate fluently in it.

With Scoolx apps we provide a personalised, interactive and fun learning experience for English language.

Using the latest technology of augmented reality we give the children visual and kinaesthetic experience that is memorable and helps these disadvantaged children to learn easily. The experience is based on language teaching methodology.

Each app has a context as it is important to give the children an understanding of how the language is used.

We apply the concepts of exploration and story-telling to encourage the child explore the context and language. The apps also apply gamification to reward and encourage children to keep trying and learning.

Also, what is also unique about our app is that each context has a learning buddy which is a character that helps guide and relate with the child.

As the apps will be available on google play and apple store, the app will be accessible worldwide. We will also reach out to schools, communities and governments. The apps will be available for different age groups and levels.

Disadvantaged children and youth may have limited access to resources to learn English. 

In low socioeconomic households, children start school unprepared in language skills and over the course of the child's education, this gap is often widened and therefore impacts their career opportunities.

English is the language of many large industries, such as technology, tourism, science, aviation, and diplomacy, and being unable to communicate in English decreases their chances of participating in these industries. 

We believe that learning needs to be personalised, interactive and fun. We want children and youth to gain this learning experience through the latest technology, and become involved with new technology developments at an early age. 

Children who have a head start in certain areas, such as English, perform better in school and therefore have better chances in the workforce.

Preschoolers, especially from disadvantaged families, will directly impact from our solution, as it is easy and affordable to access. Providing a head start to young children will positively affect the children's personal and professional development, and therefore it will also positively contribute to the country's workforce and economy. 

Our apps will easily be accessible on any mobile device and Wifi is only required for installing it.

There are no apps that use Augmented Reality to teach languages. Augmented Reality provides the context that is necessary to learn new words or easy sentences. By combining Augmented Reality with storytelling and gamification, we create a unique learning experience with a personalized learning methodology. 

ScoolX provides a great start for children to learn English. We inspire them to find English fun; we complement class room studies and help them get a head start in their school career, and later on in their professional careers. Our apps are designed in a way that they show human interactions, and we teach English in a context in order to create empathy and involvement. With our app, children won't just learn a few words, they will be able to understand better and memorize more. 

ScoolX apps will be available for smartphones and tablets. For the initial installment of the app internet access is required. Most modules will be free, and some additional content can be purchased for a small price. 

During the research and development phase, we will use our personal savings to sustain ourselves.

Some of our apps will be sold for a small fee, for our business to create revenue.

Our team consists of 5 people from different backgrounds: Together we have design and development skills, marketing experience, experience in running companies and teaching experience. We are convinced that we have found a unique way to teach children English. In order for our project to scale, we not only need financial investment, but also mentorship from professionals in for example EdTech and Augmented Reality.
