Understanding the Potentials in ICT

This project will create a platform through which future sustainable effort that upholds the tenets of democracy in the country and even Africa as a whole will be implemented. To educate as many as possible on the importance of Internet Communication Technology and the role it should play in enhancing democracy. The convening of a two-day workshop in each Geo-Political Zone of the country, will see a target number of youths, who are passionate about the internet, go home equipped with knowledge and experience. It will bring about a new dimension of awareness of Democracy and its various benefit such as job creation in an era driven by ICT. Six lectures on Understanding ICT; Its Benefits and Role in Promoting Democracy.This project is organized by Stewards of the Environment, a small research group that has for the past five years touched many lives with its numerous seminars and outreaches.

We will through this project reduce to the barest minimum the rate of unemployment in the country.

Out of every twenty citizens, only two are gainfully employed.

More than 20 million graduates are unemployed 

Corruption Is a major factor. Secondly is lack of sufficient knowledge in other fields of endeavour such as ICT.

A two days free intensive training on diverse careers in ICT across the six geopolitical zones of the country.

The participants will be empowered with skills in the following areas

ܓ Digital Marketing: Participants will leave with a good understanding of Online Marketing and Business Analytics, and underlying opportunities in a democratic era.

ܓ Blogging: A needed tool for business development: Participants will thereafter be equipped with the appropriate skill for creating and managing blogs, and underlying opportunities in a democratic era.

ܓ Understanding E-Commerce Website, and underlying opportunities in a democratic era.

ܓ Search Engine Optimization for Business Growth:

ܓ Network Administration: Training on Network Installation and Administration, and underlying opportunities in a democratic era.

ܓ Basics of Cyber Security: Participants will leave with a basic understanding of fundamentals of Cyber Security, and opportunities therein, as well the underlying opportunities in a democratic era.

Our target audience would be unemployed Nigerians especially those with passion for ICT. 

From a recent survey we understand that majority the youths spend much time on contents that add no value to their lives. 

We reach out to them through social media. We often  invite them to our Talk programs where they are given the chance to share their dreams and aspiration

This would be a Nationwide education project for all (rich or poor)

It will reveal hidden job opportunities in ICT

Presentation will be driven by technology and will be broadcast live on social networks. In comparison to program like Big Brother Nigeria, participants will be have the option of going through intensive training at no cost.

Presentation will be made using Power points and projectors. Participants will have access to Internet during the period.

Our approach is as applicable in corporate establishments and training institutes where presentations are necessary

By offering participants options through which they may make a livintage,  we believe we would be cutting the rate of unemployment in the country. There will also be evaluations to ensure they put into action all they will learn

To begin a sustainable project as this we did put into consideration ways we can sustain it. We understand this would take regular fund raising on a yearly basis.

We value the support of sister organisations that have been supportive for years now. We depend on gifts we receive from well wishers such as reading matrials,  and food.

Our team comprises of professionals in our diverse field ofor endeavor.  From project managers, to admin officers, to senior executives and ICT

We are all degree holders with more than 5 years work experience each.

We partner with sister organisations such as Mercy Foundation who has been generous with gifts.

This proposal seeks funding for a project designed to develop content, and organize a Nationwide Conference themed Understanding ICT; Its Benefits and Role in Promoting Democracy across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria.

Each zone will be represented by one State which would be strategically selected to host the program. Our aim is to create a new level of awareness of importance of democracy in every participant while at the same time ensure they leave the event loaded with skills for a new career in ICT.

We hope to create a whole new frontier for a new generation of leaders who are equipped with the appropriate knowledge for a world that is quickly changing. The Workshop/Training which would take the form of lecture, would be very interactive, and will be driven by technology. In each class, participants will have the opportunity to share their aspirations with experts and would receive due guidance 

We plan to set up an ICT training center in the nearest future with affordable training fee for participants. In addition to that we will partly depend on donations from other organizations and we'll wishers

I seek funding for a Nationwide Conference. We have nurse this dream for a while and do hope you would support us to make it a reality
