Sustainable Model for Lifelong Learning Opportunities

A cloud based software application that will allow students and teachers to collaboratively participate through a continuous learning educational model, globally and 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

1. The proposed solution is a continuous learning model which will be sustainable because it will be renewable with new topics and technologies relevant to current needs which will also be accessible by students and teachers alike from anywhere in the world, at any time.

2. This model is innovative because it will bring teachers and students together to meet specific needs such that the students can develop the skills they need to participate in the workforce of the future and thrive in the 21st century. Disadvantaged students from low socio-economic background will benefit from this model, because the students will learn at their own pace and they will also be able to access volunteer teachers.

3. If scaled, this model has the ability to connect student and teachers from across the globe breaking down geological, cultural and social barriers.

This solution solves problems at multiple levels. It provides a path to lifelong learning opportunities for anyone, globally. One of the main beneficiaries of this solution will be young people who will reduce the risk of becoming obsolete due to automation and technological advancement.

Disadvantaged children and young people will specially benefit from this flexible learning platform who are otherwise unable to attend traditional schooling system due to rigid schedules or financial constraints or both. 

Disadvantaged children and young people will develop the skills needed to participate in the workforce of the future and thrive in the 21st century.

My proposal is based on my experiences, while I was growing up in Bangladesh.There, I observed how disadvantaged children and young people cannot access the necessary education.

The main barriers to learning in a country like Bangladesh are primarily the lack of flexibility, low financial capacity and cultural stigma. A cloud based flexible learning model will enable disadvantaged children and young people to learn at their own pace in privacy, and free of cost with volunteer teacher. This model will also be relevant in a country like the United States because, it will provide a path to lifelong learning (adult education).

The main impact of this solution will be that students will be able to develop the skills they need to participate in the workforce of the future and thrive in the 21st century.

The main beneficiaries of this solution will be disadvantaged children and young people because it will be free.

The software application will be available free of charge in the cloud for anyone to download or access from anywhere.

This solution is unique because it will be flexible, renewable, sustainable and low cost.

This solution is innovative because, the software algorithm will allow customization of learning plan for focused learning.

This proposal is focused on developing a solution which will benefit disadvantaged children and young people of low socio-economic background.

The solution will be accessed through web-based application.

World Wide Web is becoming more accessible all over the world and the application will be affordable because it will be free.

Interested in obtaining seed funding and also to collaborate with researchers and sponsors interested in these topics.

The topic of sustainable and renewable education platform which is free to disadvantaged children and young people is of great interest to me. A supplemental method to traditional system of schooling and education system is required to keep up with the pace of modern innovations and to make education available to all in a meaningful way. In my proposed solution, a student will be able to tailor the learning plan to learn what is of interest to the student.
