As the targeted women are landless laborers engaged in construction sector and seek daily labor by congregating in one place of nearby Tiruvannamalai town. Depending on the need they will be hired for the day. And many of them go jobless. This means loss of one time food of the day.
The primary beneficiaries are 50 landless Dalit women laborers engaged in unorganized sector and from the villages of 5 villages of Thurinjapuram Block, Tiruvannamalai District, Tamil Nadu, India. These women are vulnerable, marginalized, exploited and oppressed due to poverty. Now they are affected and lose their job due to Covid-19.
The beneficiaries will be as we have already stated 100 poor landless female laborers involved in unorganized sector. We have selected this target group because of their willingness to come out of poverty by sheer hard work and collective operation. All of them will be in the age group of 18 to 45 and preference will be given to destitute, destitute widows, having school going children. But primarily the willingness to get trained and act in a group will be the basic criteria. For we want to sustain the project for the period of at least 15 years.
- Enable small and new businesses, especially in untapped communities, to prosper and create good jobs through access to capital, networks, and technology

They are mostly involved in construction and allied work in the Town of Tiruvannamalai which just 7 Kilometers away from their home. Their average earning per day is less than US$2. Apart from this they are exploited by the society and which has been explained earlier. Initially it is their proposal to train them in making leaf plates. This is because the ban on single use plastics introduced by the government.
- Scale: A sustainable enterprise working in several communities or countries that is looking to scale significantly, focusing on increased efficiency
