regenera hub
We believe regenerative agriculture can be a driver for both healthier ecosystems and new green jobs while enhancing climate resilience.
The implementation of regenerative agriculture networks through innovative mechanisms allows activating the transformation potential of the food sector to address both health and climate crisis
Covid19 is exacerbating the challenges already ongoing in agriculture, food and natural ecosystems. Moreover, agricultural and food systems generate the potent greenhouse gases methane and nitrous oxide, meaning that this critical system contributes 20 percent of global GHG emissions each year.
Transforming the food supply chain and agricultural practices is necessary to guarantee food security and begin a systematic process of land regeneration in Europe, in order to deal with the COVID-19 challenges and move forward the Green Deal .
Healthier ecosystems are essential to recover from COVID-19 crisis and avoid a new pandemic in the future. Working in nature and agriculture in a different way can be an opportunity for people looking for jobs and other ways of living to regenerate the ecosystem health and adapt to climate change.
Regenera Hub aims to catalyze the implementation of regenerative agriculture for a systemic transformation of the food sector, according to the EU biodiversity strategy for 2030. With a coalition of four former entities, the solid implementation of our Theory of Change will be carried out creating the ideal conditions for the transformation from conventional agriculture to regenerative agriculture. To do this, we create the regenerative network, develop training programs for the sector, create alternative financial mechanisms and deploying technology for new food value chains, acting as a lever of change for the food security and land regeneration.
According to published data from the Drawdown Project, projected for 2050, the implementation of climate-friendly agricultural practices could mitigate almost 170 Gigatons of carbon dioxide (GtCO2), while generating a net financial return of almost $10 billion. An opportunity to regenerate the land and unlock nature's potential to tackle both climate change and coronavirus crisis.
Regenera Hub proposes to act in a triple bottom line in order to boost a regenerative economy: land regeneration, food supply chain and mutual credits to farmers. Each component will have a leading institution with demonstrated skills and capabilities to deploy results in the short period of time that this call needs.
- Scale practices and incentives for larger farmers and ranchers to decrease carbon emissions, land-use change, nutrient runoff, or water pollution
Cultural transformation using landscape knowledge as a tool for change. Through training programs and the demonstration of sustainable agricultural practices, the regenerate degraded food systems in southern Spain, one of the most exposed areas to the effects of climate change.
Food supply chain: with a digital B2B market solution that brings together farmers and consumers. Agricultural transactions in a digital platform in combination with our service partnership network.
Financial access for farmers - mutual credits currencies in different communities, making it easier to start new businesses and improving their economic resilience.
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model
- A new business model or process
Regenera Hub is a platform driven by the purpose of land regeneration. It connects local producers and knowledge by: mapping organic producers in your area, generating and sharing toolkits and resources to boost the regenerative agriculture production, enabling the match with innovative financial mechanisms and creating unity and a platform where farmers have a voice and can negotiate fair prices for their products. Regenera Hub will coordinate all efforts to ensure that our theory of change is executed and our impact and scalability is transformed into reality.
We are partnering with two technology platforms: one using AI and satellite imagery to make the monitoring of the restauration, and secondly a platform to certificate on blockchain the real restauration made.
We are sharing purpose with the Bonn Challenge and the 20 20 Initiative, which are in the framework of the Restauration Decade.

Thanks to Regenera Hub, different hubs will be boosted and supported in order to create a regenerative agriculture system that attracts the population with green jobs, creates new food value chains and regenerates the economy and natural capital for decarbonisation and resilience. We are working in a triple bottom line, putting into practice knowledge tools and training, activating innovative financial mechanisms and creating new food supply chains to boost a systemic change after the first wave of Covid19.

Farmers conversion to regenerative agriculture.
Description: Converting today's farmers to land-regenerative practices is critical to adapt the food system to climate change and to achieve systemic change. Through capacity building programs, Fundación Paisaje accelerates the transformation of agriculture towards regenerative systems, recovering soil fertility for food security against COVID-19.
Identifying and scaling up experiences
Description: We will be test trialing this unique cross-collaboration between several different key partners in order to generate local circular economies. We are determined to create a well defined M&E system in order to allow us to determine the impact that we are creating for local communities. We will have a baseline date and will be monitoring at the 3 month stage as well as at the 6 month stage in order to discover what has actually been happening in our project throughout various stakeholders.
Starting with internal barriers, we understand from previous experiences the possible traps and challenges of working with 4 organizations across 3 countries, with different agendas and priorities. Especially at a time when companies are losing revenue and cutting costs, looking to become as efficient as possible throughout all their processes. Which is why we have carefully selected each partner in this proposal to fulfill the needs that are required for a systemic change in the agriculture sector. We have constructed deep relationships with all the organizations involved and have created an environment of trust and an alignment of actions that will allow every organization to form part of a pilot project that has the capacity to scale, and give each organization the autonomy and guidance to prosper in the specific area where they will be direly needed to make this project a success.
Mitigation plan: We have specifically chosen these organizations due to the belief of creating change in the current system. While we hope to continue to work with these organizations, we have a list of alternative partners that could substitute an organization in case it can no longer continue.

We are a team with diverse backgrounds, from environmental science, to economy studies and to public policies.
We have together more than three decades of working in sustainability in Iberoamerica, and we are connected with initiatives working in regenerative practices in ten countries.
Thanks to this experience, we have developed:
An easy toolkit adapted to different contexts
A broad community with the best projects and people working in regeneration and land restoration in Ibero-America
An innovative financial mechanism based on micro-credits and alternative currencies to help people to embrace regeneration.
Fundación Paisaje - Knowledge transformation and training: every citizen or community can easily dive into regenerative agriculture and land restoration thanks to our training programs driven by regenerative hubs already ongoing on the ground, previously mapped. We believe that local people in the ground are the ones who really know the place and the correct regenerative practices.
Clickcoin - Financial access - To enable it and thanks to complementary currencies (based on mutual credit), farmers and families with special economic vulnerability can easily access a financial mechanism to participate in regenerative agriculture transformation.
Agri MarketPlace - Transparent food supply chain - small producers and conscious consumers can be connected in a more easy, direct and transparent way thanks to a platform which has already a proven impact delivering food products.
Our revenue model is based on the technical assistance we are providing. And also the model gives revenues to all the communities that are part of the hubs.
