Bottle Solar Light

Solar Bottle Light is a revolutionary solar lighting system aimed at providing effective, cheap and green solar light using water, chlorine and used soda bottles, with the view of eradicating pollution.

All over the world almost everyone depend largely on electricity for day to day activities but what of those in villages that do not enjoy the benefit of light for their activities. Most governments in Africa, Asia just to name a few have tried to provide rural electrification projects but that doesnt seem to solve the problem of light because economically these rural folks donot have what it takes to pay electricity bills. 

Our environment is always littered with plastics from soda manufacturing companies with no idea of using them for a purpose. In light of this, I decided to come out with the solution of using used soda plastic bottles, water, chlorine, and with the abundance of sun, to make affordable,  cheap, and environmentally friendly solar light.  Over a billion pollution live without light some parts of  Asia, Africa just to mention but a few, and if this technology is given the needed support, not only will it create jobs but will go a long way to stop pollution of these plastics soda bottles. This will generate or create jobs and skills for the youth. 

This technology involves drilling a hole in a metal roofing sheet, insert used soda plastic that would have ended in our beaches, fill it with water, chlorine, drill a hole on top of your roof, insert the bottle and seal it; viola you have 50-55 watts of solar light that can serve various purpose for people without light. 

I have on daily basis been thinking of why it is always those in rural areas that lack basic social amenities such as electricity as seen in urban settings. I have interacted with children who use candles to study in villages and this affects their well being as well as their eyes. I needed to come out with an idea that can provide light and offer employable skills to most disadvantaged youth in our society. 

This technology is aimed at reducing pollution and providing effective lightening solution to people living without light. The technology with time will be developed to serve as street lights since it just requires the sunlight to power it and the chlorine acting as a strong agent, effective light will be abound all over and can be accessible in local markets,shops, restaurants, supermarkets, malls among others.  If this technology is given the needed support, not only will it create jobs but will go a long way to stop pollution of these plastics soda bottles.

There has been various technological advancement in the solar system era most people can still not buy a complete solar system as it comes with batteries and its associated costs in maintaining. My technology is cheap, affordable, clean, and environmentally friendly. There are various cheap lighting system but they come battery powered but this new technology doesnt need battery or anything to power it. 

As we develop and as technology advances so so ideas grow and expand widely to bring new and innovative ideas. The plan is to serve the underprivileged with quality yet cheap lighting solution that will benefit rural communities around the world.  

Yes practically because the items used in the manufacturing process is cheap and can be made and deployed easily. In providing for the various communities without light, this technology can be accessed in the local market as well as shops, malls, on the street and vendors who will be deployed as installers and marketers. 

The team's plan currently is supporting each other from the little resources we bring together as individuals in the pursuit of achieving greater heights in the near future. We have a strong believe that a prospective investor will buy into our idea and venture so to create jobs and sustain youth empowerment.  

This has to do with financing and the ability to have an effective marketing channel for the distribution and training support for other young people who might be interested in learning skills to enhance productivity in our current economic dispensation  

Personally as a team leader, and on behalf of team members, we see this as a challenge to meet with other well meaning individuals and cooperate giants who are involved in providing effective solar systems across the world with the aim of sustaining our environment. The purpose is to meet and share our technology to these companies and individuals with the hope of partnering to bring affordable solar lightning  system to rural communities around the world. 

Current partners include the communities we work with and the support of the local people who are desirous in learning new technology 

The solar Industry is vast and I believe this will attract some form competition as we grow
