Yonutol
Yonutol is a software driven company that helps 500+ suppliers to get a bigger profit than traditional retailers. We achieve this goal by leveraging the technology to cut costs of labor and automate the entire process from online ordering to delivering goods. We aim to put all the power back on the producers and consumers' hands and remove all the middlemen.
Yonutol's platform is designed to provide all the tools that enable a smooth interaction between producers and consumers.
The Yonutol web/mobile solution aims to provide a door-to-door delivery system for a better control of the supply chain.
Yonutol was created to tackle the economic inequality between farmers/producers and the supermarket giants. 40.000.000 people are under the menace of food insecurity in the rural West Africa. In the heart of those populations are farmers who not able to get paid enough to farm properly and have sufficient revenue from their production. Farmers cannot generate 50% revenue from the retail price of their produce at the traditional retailers or wholesalers. The lack of power in the food supply chain has made suppliers undergo the pressure from the giants in the food industry. Prices are constantly dropper to a very low level. That situation resulted in an imbalance and promoted the phenomenon of people leaving the rural world to migrate to cities with a poor life. Yonutol aims to give producers a new option to remove the middlemen and pay them what they deserve from their hard work.
Yonutol is a web-based platform that aims to be the connection between farmers and consumers. It's developed used the latest software stack (MongoDB, Laravel, Angular 9+, NodeJS) and hosted with AWS. Most of the processes are already automated. Farmers can list their farm as well as all their production in Yonutol. Farmers have with Yonutol the power to decide on their products prices.
Customers are able to place order and get notifications of their order in real-time. Farmers receive the order from platform. and harvest it then ship it to Yonutol or setup a pick-up date/time with Yonutol. Yonutol then ship it to the costumer and handle all the customer support service that follow the transaction. Yonutol collect and process the payment from the clients and pay the producers.
Our method enables our users to save at least 25% of their fruits and vegetables monthly expenses. By removing the middlemen between customers and producers, Yonutol cuts in half the price of the goods and gives the opportunity to the producers to sell better and the consumers (customers/users) to have fresh products with a cheaper price.
Yonutol helps farmers go 100% bio while finding buyers for their production.
- Improve supply chain practices to reduce food loss, scale new business models for producer-market connections, and create low-carbon cold chains
In countries like Senegal and the rest of west Africa, the system is so broken that it needs solutions to address the issues. A lot of the production is lost due to a lack of good knowledge in the supply chain, which result in farmers producing food that never get to the population. Yonutol bring to farmers a solution to efficiently produce food while creating the bridge to allow population to get to that fresh food. We're creating end to end solution that goes from suppliers harvesting their farms to the consumers' table.

Yonutol makes money by keeping 25% of each transaction divided between the customer who supports 18% of it (including the platform fees, taxes and delivery) while 7% go to the farmer/producer (including advertising, platform fees, etc.). We plan to start a catering service to fight food waste and a line of locally transformed goods from naturally grown seeds and in high in demand by our customers.
