Climacta Technological Platform
The problem: The diseases that attack cultivated plants represent a major threat to the sustainability of agricultural property. When seeking to combat this problem, they carry out disordered actions that culminate in the overuse of pesticides, producing less healthy foods.
The Solution: Traditionally, traditional producers adopt batteries of chemical products to control diseases. On the contrary, our platform promotes responsible action, where chemical control is indicated only if the climate is favorable to the disease. Thus, equipment equipped with electronic sensors, microcontrollers and communication devices is installed, which automatically transmit scaled data collected in the fields. Software with simple response applications leverages information from this database, projecting risk situations regarding infection by diseases.
Benefits: Making more assertive decisions, culminating in greater rationalization in the use of pesticides. Promoting less environmental impact and the production of healthier foods. Solutions and applications are available via the internet.
In order to provide the analyst with subsidies for analyzing the platform's potential for innovation, a scenario is presented here in global agribusiness, in which soybean culture and Asian rust disease are inserted. Rust is an extremely aggressive disease because it attacks all parts of the soybean plant and its damages related to the reduction of the number of pods, number of grains and weight of grains. Observations made in Nigeria showed an initial reduction and a reduction in income of up to 52%. In Zimbabwe, South Africa and Australia, around 80%. In Brazil, Yorinori-Embrapa Soja, a reduction of up to 75% in soy production. Estimated soybean production, losses of $ 7.0 billion, due to an attack of Asian rust since entering Brazil (2004). This fact makes the disease a strong threat to sustainability to economic and environmental sustainability in the world. We mention other diseases of global economic importance, such as: apple scab, late blighting of potatoes and tomatoes, grape juice, among others. In conclusion, diseases of cultivated plants contribute to losses and damages in food production. As they are export / import products, they also negatively affect the countries' trade balance.
The scientific basis is supported by the scientific concept: a disease can only attack a crop if the fungus is present in the environment, if there is cultivation of plants in a region and if the climate is favorable to the occurrence of the disease. The purpose of the platform is to "PREVENT", infection by diseases in cultivated plants, before damage to crops occurs. Thus, the platform integrates weather stations with an information system. The functionality of weather stations is to collect, memorize and transmit environmental variables to a dedicated server. The information system processes and compares data from tables that simulate disease severity, thus forming a basis for determining climate favorability for each biological system used. The main task is to know how and when the climate is favorable to the infection of diseases. For example, scientific research indicates that the favorable period for Asian rust infection is 12 hours of continuous humidity and 22 degrees centigrade. Simply put, the devices positioned in the fields record meteorological data in 15-minute intervals and the software processes the data, transforming information into scientific knowledge and wisdom. The invention is protected by means of a patent at the INPI.
Agriculture is the oldest human activity on the planet, which contributes to feeding us. The sector offers great potential for adopting technological innovations. The technological platform presented here, was designed to change the way in which a company creates, sells and transfers value to customers. We have the know-how to control the entire operation remotely, from the installation of weather stations (loan offer), maintenance of equipment, training of users, hiring of cellular operators for data transmission, storage of data on servers in the clouds. Thus, we were able to remove two major barriers in the agricultural sector: the distance from urban centers and the lack of familiarity of the segment with information technology. The Platform offers security and convenience to the customer, as information is processed and made available over the internet anywhere on the planet. The technology is global and can be offered in any country, as the environmental parameters that promote infection are universal.
Segments served: family farmers, soybean growers, tomato growers, potato growers, fruit growers.
Secondary segments: agronomists and agricultural technicians who work in rural extension.
- Improve supply chain practices to reduce food loss, scale new business models for producer-market connections, and create low-carbon cold chains
Excessive use of chemicals has been used in traditional agriculture for decades. Encouraged by large corporations that seek profits exclusively. The PIONEER and INNOVATIVE character of the Platform is the biggest challenge of the enterprise. Key factors for success:
COMFORT - equipment loaned;
SIMPLICITY - friendly and simple interface;
PORTABILITY - no need to install electronic paraphernalia;
Traceability - monitor Environmental Parameters in real time;
CREDIBILITY - knowledge is applied through scientific research;
ASSERTIVENESS - indicate with precision or the correct time for the use of pesticides.

- A new technology
Our platform represents an innovative approach because it is based on a different way of marketing the technology in relation to other companies, changing the way we want to create, sell and transfer value to customers. The main difference from our business model is that we are service providers. Meteorological stations, essential components for environmental monitoring, are loaned. Unlike other organizations that basically sell the equipment. The other different proposal is that our meteorological stations are installed, necessarily, inside the crops to monitor the local micro climate. Thus, greater accuracy and reliability in data collection is guaranteed.
Our business model assists producers in managing disease control decisions, fully controlling all stages of service implementation, from planting to harvest. The electronic equipment that represents a difficulty for the implementation of the services is used in lending, with technical assistance guaranteed by the company.
Through Big Data, we are able to process a vast climate database, providing proven risk coefficients that predict a possible infection of diseases, if there is climatic favorability for their occurrence.
In this way, we guarantee the adoption of scientific techniques that help producers to rationalize pesticides in their crops.
Constant monitoring of meteorological variations in the microclimate of crops is proven to be an excellent tool for the effective control of diseases that cause damage and damage to crops.
This monitoring is carried out systematically to ensure the highest integrity of the database, that is, without failures so that the processing faithfully portrays the biological cycle of diseases. Scientific Knowledge is made available in real time to ensure maximum Credibility and Reliability, ensuring greater security for customers. These three factors are responsible for the success of the undertaking and give the company's competitive advantage, highlighting the following points:
1. Greater differentiation for offering lending weather stations;
2. Greater rationalization of the use of pesticides;
3. Less environmental impact;
4. Greater efficiency in the chemical control of diseases of cultivated plants;
5. Greater sustainability of agricultural property;
6. Promote better planning of farm machinery;
7. It promotes a reduction in production costs allowing greater net income for producers.

As a result of population growth, there is an increase in the demand for food, leading to global inflationary increases. Food production, over time, has been promoting serious environmental impacts on the planet, resulting from the traditional agricultural techniques adopted. Faced with this scenario, there is a search for more appropriate innovative techniques. In this sense, precision agriculture emerges as a new paradigm for managing agricultural production that, through scientific research, achieves advances in the equation of economic sustainability versus environmental preservation. In this new moment, agronomists / agricultural technicians are specializing in information technology, thus enabling a better use of natural resources in addition to productivity gains.
Information technology applications, such as the Internet of Things in agribusiness, directly benefit producers, since it minimizes the barrier that information technology represents in rural areas. Information Technology promotes the demand for innovative solutions, generates greater employability and also facilitates the adoption of the modern techniques available.
The diseases that attack the cultivated plants represent a threat to the productivity of crops, thus interfering in the countries' trade balance and generating inflation by causing losses / damages in agricultural production.
Farmers fearing the loss of production caused by the infection of diseases, comment on excesses in the use of pesticides, causing a series of environmental damages and, consequently, harming human health.
Scientifically proven, the climate is largely responsible for the infection of diseases in crops. The planet's climatic instability is humanity's greatest current problem. However, it is verified that, through a technological base, it is possible to monitor the climate, a fundamental factor of success in modern agriculture.
Through the association of innovative technology with science, agriculture will assume a leading role in the supply of healthier foods, with greater respect for the planet Earth and Human Life.

Traditional agriculture has been causing a series of environmental damage on the planet. One of them is excessive chemical spraying, carried out empirically and based on a fixed calendar. In this way, the producer does not need technical assistants, because whoever formulates the recommendations, most of the time is himself due to the experiences acquired with the crop.
Due to the experiences in implementing innovative ideas that involve the area of plant disease prediction, it is known that these systems, being too technical, there is a need to monitor qualified professionals for the perfect conduct of the work. Therefore, the proposed technology has the educational mission of transforming the modus operandi of the use of pesticides on the planet.
The idea is to form a network of consultants in the construction of a new service, based on science and not on empiricism.
The Internet of Things will play a fundamental role in this new scenario because it is the latest technology, allowing greater fluidity of knowledge at the end of the production chain.
The success of the tool will generate great credibility for the agronomic class, positively affecting millions of people involved in the task of food production.
In this new agricultural world, human beings will play the role of protagonist of change, focusing on the production of healthier foods and greater respect for the environment.
CULTURAL BARRIER: For decades, the farmer has been adopting disease control based on random spraying of pesticides without considering the climatic monitoring, to identify the climatic favorability for the occurrence of the diseases.
For this reason, the main effort is educational, therefore in the long run.
FINANCIAL BARRIER: In order to implement the technology, a network of technical educators will need to be trained to be closer to the producers, providing technical assistance. In view of the long distances to remote and remote places, the volume of capital is large.
TECHNICAL BARRIER: The vast majority of producers are afraid to change the way they act in the first round. Therefore, it is necessary to do segmentation work in order to select pioneer farmers to disseminate the new technology. It is necessary to invest in demonstrative fields to prove on the spot the effectiveness of the platform.
Cultural barrier: seek to approach companies that commercialize pesticides and establish public policies to regulate the use of these products.
Financial Barrier: seek partnerships with government agencies.
Technical Barrier: associate with cooperatives and rural extension agencies.

The developed Climacta platform has an excellent opportunity because it is a global issue that bothers society, the use of pesticides.
Despite the great advantages of agribusiness and its good prospects, there are challenges to be overcome that depend, essentially, on both public and private investments.
It should be noted that for agribusiness to modernize, structural problems need to be solved, as there is competitiveness in some productive chains, others not.
However, financial and human resources are lacking. Our biggest obstacle is that we compete with the big companies that market pesticides. And because our core business is based on the rationalization of the use of agrochemicals in crops, we have suffered major attacks.
This means that our advantages such as abundant land, production potential, favorable climates, immense availability of fresh water and renewable energy and its entrepreneurial capacity, strategically overcome any problem, making the sector our biggest business.
In any sector of the economy, technology leverages the competitiveness of companies. Without technology, there is no use in professional management, focus or production volume. The technology reduces costs, increases quality and productivity, placing products within the reach of the consumer's taste and pocket inside and outside the country. Based on what was exposed in this business plan, it is hoped that it will be possible to understand the real situation of the market, the company, its strategic plans, its growth projections and, above all, its consequent contribution to the technological advancement of Brazilian agribusiness.
