We are on a Mission to transform the Livelihood of women Living in slums through Technology and Internet Guided Agriculture. This will enable urban slum women globally to have enough food to eat and earning money by selling the surplus.
We are aware that our target customers who are the slum dwellers do not have enough land to carry out commercial farming, we have therefore come up with simple hydroponic gardens made out of recycled Plastic and fitted with Micro controllers to enable Remote Monitoring. These are Complemented with our Online Agro-supermarket where all our farmers are allowed to sell their agriculture Produces surplus after getting food without passing through the middle Men. This is all meant to ensure that our customers get food and earn a living at the end of the day through town-based agriculture.
Food insecurity is not a Ugandan Problem but rather a Global Problem .In Uganda alone ; More than 14% of the Ugandan Population do not have food ( World Bank).This is much more worse Towns and in particular slums where people don't have any land to grow crops ,No means of growing crops in their congested temporary Houses. Hydroponic farms Uganda a company founded by former slum residents have come up means of turning the Plastics into Hydroponic farms which we sell to women in slums through their Organized Groups .We go ahead to link our customers to Operation wealth creation for free seedlings and Help our customers sell their Products through our Agro Online supper Market.

Hydroponic farms Uganda's main target is 800000 Women in slums in Uganda as we speak in the short term and 4,000,000 women in refuge settlements and slums in Uganda .These are identified through their Organized Women Groups. More to that, Government and Banks buy our farms and give them to their customers in slums as their cooperate social responsibility. Hydroponic intends to capture new markets as in the near future. This means that we shall;
- Invest much in recruiting of new Marketing staff.
- Pay for online advertisement among other ways to capture attention of our potential customers.
- Support small-scale producers with access to inputs, capital, and knowledge to improve yields while sustaining productivity of land and seas

Our competitors include the both local and international companies and these include; Women smiles Uganda who make and sell vertical farms to people in Kampala, Wakiso and Mbale.

Our competitive advantage is based on the fact that our farms are Technology driven. We are the Only service Provider whose farms enable Remote Monitoring since we have addition of Micro controllers and sensors on every farm we produce.
Secondly others only mind about selling their Products without training the end user on how to use the Product, we are the Only one who apart from selling our Products, go ahead and train farmers (women) on how to use our Products.
Lastly, we don't sell products for farmer to grow crops for food alone but rather also enable them sell the surplus to markets. In this we are the only one who avail and Link our customers to markets through our Agro-Super market online Platform.
We use Artificial Intelligence through micro controllers and sensors to monitor the produce, water nutrients and levels.
We also make our farms from plastic and this has seen us recycle more than 4 Million Tons of plastics that would have in-turn Polluted the environment.

Since the Beginning of this Venture ( which actually started as a community Project ) we have reached more than 800,000 women living in Katanga ,Kifumbira ,Bwaise ,Katwe Slums with our hydroponic farms .This has not only Put food on their Table but has helped them put some revenue into their Pockets after selling the surplus of their Produces after getting food for their Homes .

At the beginning of this venture we started with only 15000 customers who were members of the organized group which i belonged to ,Later I signed up with a local bank who purchased farms for more 187000 of their customers living in slums as cooperate social responsibility and lastly signed up with the Uganda government who prepaid farms for 23000 women living in selected slums of Kampala.
The 800000 Women have seen transformation from lacking food for their families to having much food to the extent that they can even sell the surplus to ready markets using our Agro-super market.
We have created Employment to 15 direct workers and Indirectly to 30 Agents (depots) across Uganda.

In 1 year, we shall have extended our services to the Whole Uganda and East Africa slums and refugee settlements.
Extending our services to the Whole of East Africa urban slums and refugee settlements in 1 years from now and the remaining 4 years will be used to extend services to the rest of Africa.
Our revenue will be boosted by 34% in five years from now and this will be as result of start Producing of the solar powered cold chain technology.
More to that, more nations will endorse our farms and this is in addition to local Banks who are already onboard buying our farms and giving them to their customers in slums as their cooperate social responsibility.
I am working on a technology field and this is dominated by Men. This in the end make some customers to think what is Produced by men is better.
Raising of capital by women ventures Globally is still challenge and this does not exclude me as a founder.
I am doing extensive research to make sure that what we produce is of good quality compared to other firms providing a similar service.
Cash is the lifeblood of business. If you run out of it and lack access to additional resources, the game is over. As the founder of hydroponic Farms Uganda, I have made extensive research of the available financiers, improving on my network and preparing for the bumpy road ahead.

Agricultural Research Center Kawanda is partnering with us in offering high quality seeds and seedlings to farmers.
As you would expect, the target market of those who are the end consumer of hydroponics crops farm produce and also those who benefits from the business value chain of the hydroponics industry is all encompassing; it is far – reaching. We sale our hydroponics farms to the target market of urban vulnerable women and refugees.
We also earn money through hydroponic training and consultations offered to Banks and NGOs who bring in their clients to be trained.
We also sale hydroponics crops farm produce in both raw form & processed form on our agro supermarket which gives us 10% profits from each sale.

Our plans to use artificial intelligence will be to improve the efficiency and reduce the costs of hydroponic farming as well as to optimist the nutritional value of the crops
