People are consuming low quality fruits, vegetables and don't have access to any kind of information like who produce it and what kind of processes it went through or even like is it residue free or not and they also have to pay more for such quality product. For better quality product, farmer must produce better quality in the farm and need to be handle carefully thereafter.
We are Harshal Enterprises working with farmers from different geographical areas to improve quality of product as well as increase yield to reduce production cost and sell their product direct to end consumer with end to end transparency to the product.
Farming has became more weak when it comes to agriculture productivity which turns into higher production cost. Excessive usage of chemical fertilizers and pesticides has degraded soil which affected productivity of farm field. Due to this Farmers has to face lesser earning and still get exploited by middleman. Malpractices/ excessive chemical usage leads to harvesting lower quality product and consumer have to consume it, because they don't have any option.
Lack of storage and processing infrastructure leads to product loss before reaching to the market. However, due to manual primary processing and improper storage structure leads to almost 40% to 50% onion is rotten affect cost and farmer as well as consumers have to bear it.
Productivity of farm field is totally depends on quality of inputs that farmers are inputting in the farm field and the practices that they perform by monitoring environmental and crop conditions. Crop immunity to pest is important to reduce use of pesticides which requires ultimately quality seeds and nutrients that get from soil.
1. Connecting marginal farmers under one roof to help and guiding them to increasing field fertility. Farmer education is important to increase productivity and it help them to become self reliant instead of depending upon some entity or individual.
2. Giving them quality inputs and farming mechanism to reduce production cost as well as reduce losses that happen during harvesting.
3. Storage is another way to reduce losses. Standard infrastructure is an important aspect in supply-chain. Creating standard multi product storage system and automation in storing and packing will help us to reducing cost as well as loss.
We are going to help farmer from selecting quality inputs, sowing and applying inputs to harvesting and thereafter till product reaches to intended customer.
We are helping farmer to produce more and reduce losses from the beginning not only by applying quality/ organic inputs but also by integrating mechanism, and also providing storage facility for the produce for post-harvest losses control and easy procurement. Now it comes to sell, we are selling their produce in the international market with end to end transparency over blockchain.
Our intention is to connect at least 500 marginal farmers at first and help them growing quality product and gradually grow this number from different geographies.

This is the region which is poorly managed by institutions. Lots of crop produce is wasted due to lack of market availability in this region. Less or no earning leads farmers to frustration and it leads them to death.
However this region have less water supply but still resources can be optimize and improve production in this area. We are on-boarding farmers from this region and help them producing quality product also help them earning more.

Almost 40% food is lost or wasted before reaching to the market which is increasing hunger, on the other hand lower production is another issue. Adopting new techniques of farming is better option to increase soil fertility and produce more but this is only one aspect of supply chain, the other is storage and distribution.
Reducing losses are important aspect in storage and distribution. We are increasing production with new farming techniques and reducing losses by optimizing distribution network and creating efficient storage system.
We are controlling almost 75% losses that happen in storage and increasing production by almost 88% of Onion crop.
In India farming activities are costlier due to heavy usage of labor and this is leading to increase in production cost also increases farm level product loss at harvesting time. New paradigms are needed to introduce in the farming field.
We are introducing new ways to perform farming activities which help us saving production cost and losses. This is how we are reducing production cost and help farmer to earn more. Apart from this, there is existing open onion storage facilities are available so farmer can store it for like 5 to 6 months but this open storage facilities leads to heavy loss almost 40% to 50% in storage period. We are creating temperature controlled storage system to store onion as well as other vegetables for longer period which is going to reduce storage loss and farmer can compete with market demand.
Not only this, we are using Blockchain to create transparent supplychain starting from Onion and adding up other vegetables later on.

There is problem of demand and supply in onion which affect the pockets of farmer also the loss that happens in field and storage is another issue. To match up with demand and supply of onion, we are going to increase the production quantity per acre and increase shelf life in storage facility. For sustainable consumption, we are going to distribute product in international market.
Nonetheless to fight with climate change, we are going to increase production in the farm and storage loss control will help us to supply off season as well. The main objective is to Uplifting farmers and educating them about advance farming technique to increase production and earnings.

We are currently developing our solutions with help of other things, and our target is to connect with 500 farmers for production and sell almost 10,000 Metric Ton onions in Oman, Sri Lanka, UAE. Also we are intended to create our presence in Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia.
Our goal is to create this facility and connect as many farmers as we can for different products and direct connect with 500 farmers for onion production. We want to expand in South-East Asia, Gulf and Europe for fresh and exotic vegetables as well as fruits.
The Vidarbha & Marathwada region of Maharashtra(India) state, is most affect region due to this climate change. I think we are lacking in finance for building capacity. Marketing and brand building is another long term thing that we are chasing.

We have been in fresh vegetable/ fruits trading since last 5 years and this led us to understand demands and what we can give. While being in agri-produce trade, we understood farmers problems. There are many players in fresh produce trading business, but not all think about being fair with farmers, not all gain the trust of farmers. We are best to deliver this solution because we want farmers to grow as many product as they can.
We are associated with Modern Al Anbar International, Oman based fresh vegetable importer. We sell them fresh onion based on their requirement.
Current business model is transaction based business model. We are working on turning current business model into recurring revenue generation business model. We are trying to increase margin of onion by 75%.

I think refugees already lives in overwhelming environment and have no way to find opportunities to grow, in term of skills, children education, lifestyle growth, etc. They don't have access to finance as they can not get a job and work on something. Skills, education and well being is important for refugees.
I think basic jobs are more important in agriculture, we can include refugees in agriculture and allied industries to get job by creating infrastructure which will support countries economy and help refugee to live life like normal citizen.
AI is becoming more important in businesses which is directly affecting human intervention in the business. Although it is improving business model and becoming more resilient and efficient in decision making. This could be best solution in the corporate businesses, but when we look at agriculture AI has been used in limited fashion like precision farming, plant monitoring, soil and water monitoring, etc. When you look at fluctuating demands, it is affecting food security and has increased the gap between farmer and consumer. As farmers don't have access to real-time demand information they have stopped producing some product and this has led to extinction of many varieties of product. We are creating a platform where farmers can access information like demands, weather information and of course the digital market to compete in real-time.
This will help farmer to sell direct to consumer, which will bring him more money is his pocket and can become competitive.
Agriculture will be first and last option in the world to grow food to fight with hunger. As we have started in India, we are planning to expand our solution in other states of India and then other part of world mainly in Africa. Advance agriculture is important to fight with climate change and food extinction. These problems we are solving to help farmers, consumers and other stakeholders.
