Our solution entails designing a data driven curriculum that builds itself and adapts to each student’s needs regardless of socioeconomic status. This decentralized layout will be feasible through 24/7 online classrooms, augmented reality, and archived webinars. Students’ individual experience will be enhanced through personality tests, promoting self-sustenance and entrepreneurial behavior.
Current schooling system was created for a mathematical concept that does not actually exist in the real world called the “average kid.” The system was set up to develop a workforce fit for the industrial revolution. It worked well in yesterday's economy but is outdated today in 2017. Today in an age full of connectivity powered by the internet it is essential our education system adapts at the same speed as the job market. We are living in an age of untapped opportunity. In order to prepare future generations for the changing world we must decentralize our education system. We have never lived in a time where more data has been recorded on our population. Until now this data only been used to drive corporations profit and promote businesses through advertising. The same data Facebook and Amazon use to generate traffic for vendors can be used to develop unique data driven curriculums' that adapt to each student's individual needs. Each student is different and has different learning styles and interests. It does not make sense to force the student to fit into the curriculum. Rather the curriculum should adapt to each individual student. We are proposing an education system that promotes self awareness and humility. The first 6 years of our curriculum will be in a traditional classroom setting. We believe the discipline of showing up to school five mornings a week is important for all children to experience. Apart from academics a large focus during this stage of our curriculum will be promoting cultural appreciation. We will introduce kids to traditions from all over the world. By stretching their mind and exposing it to the globe we aim to end bullying.
In 2017, the centralized purpose of a school system for an "average" student follows the layout of the Pre-Industrial era. In today's society, the inability of synchronization between the workforce with its decentralized layout and the educational system with its centralized layout creates an inaccessible, stressful, and low productivity environment that impacts an individuals lifestyle, mental ability, and survival mechanisms. This paradigm is augmented in "disadvantaged youth", in this case individuals who do not have the ability to access knowledge and apply it, which may be the case due to their financial, mental, or social limitations.
Education has experienced numerous applications throughout time. When Thomas Jefferson introduced the “two-track system”; one school each for laborers and the learned, people were exposed to new opportunities, sparking development in curriculums and technology. In the 1950s, “homework” became implemented, becoming a staple of education. Since then, the main change evident in schooling is advanced technology and mental illnesses, leading to skyrocketing suicide rates.While the world has progressed, the education system is in stagnancy, and must be saved. The aid of virtual versus augmented reality, the internet of things, and other technological resources are all possible solutions.
We hope to impact the population from which the rest stem off of. By revolving the solution amongst the students and teachers directly, the community workforce, companies, and the disadvantaged youth are impacted indirectly. With the shift to an entrepreneurial workforce, a correlation is initiated between the school system and workforce, which allows students to relate to their education through a lense of passion rather than one forced upon through common standards. We plan to deploy our solution through global internet services, open online classrooms, live experiences through augmented reality, engagement of companies, and vocational training.

Uniqueness begins with our emphasis on gamification, in that motivated students that participate in community and cultural based services will be offered more benefits, such as exclusive health insurances, when they enter the job market. Giving back to the community is an essential principle, one that will be highlighted through this incentive as well as the innovative information tax. This tax will not only allow an educational system that will have access to online classrooms and webinars, but a vast amount of vocational opportunities. The information tax will be for companies that profit off collecting data on customers and users.
Rather than using data to drive profits, we are using it to drive innovation and self awareness! Each student is different and we believe each one should be offered a unique curriculum custom to their needs.Our solution will be deployed through the resources accessed with the aid of non-profit organizations, involved businesses and companies with the information tax. To enable free access to students on a global scale, we plan to utilize resources to create online computer cafes, internet access in schools, and the introduction of virtual versus augmented reality via satellites.
Information will be accessed through funding offered by an information tax, allowing it to be affordable worldwide. Computer cafes, free internet access, and augmented reality with the aid of satellites will allow easy access to individuals worldwide. Involved businesses and companies will be able to volunteer infrastructure to certain targeted communities that may need additional aid to make this vision a reality.

By applying to Solve, we wish to eradicate the negative connotations attached to being different. In today's school systems it is easy to undervalue one's personality and background due to how easily racism, bullying, and mental illness leaks into classrooms, and becomes the catalyst for low self esteem and often association with the wrong crowd. If the creation of fair school systems becomes plausible in every location, fair access to opportunities, self awareness, and mental stability are just small changes that will bloom through this much needed adaptation to the educational system we have today.
