Ancestral Technology Rice Farming
1.The solution is to address the problems of environmental situation in the farming communities to improve food production by ensuring Ancestral Technology environmental sustainability system through biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation education for reducing deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions. 2. The proposed solution are environmental sustainable education and smallholder farmers rice production marketing value chain investment. 3. The sustainable impact of food through the project scaling, replication and outreach to various global communities will reduce global vulnerability, eradicate poverty and hunger, improve women and disable economic viability and well-being, jobs will be created for women and youths and develop women economically as well as successful entrepreneurs, improve sustainable impact of food security and agribusiness industrial infrastructures and economic business investment in the global communities through milled rice national and global marketing effective distribution demand supply system to our customers and consumers.
The specific problem is environmental destruction by community people; The Partnership feasibility study and research work shows that the Climate system is a problem for sustainable food development; the factors are lack of biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation and routine deforestation, land degradation, desertification and greenhouse gas emissions as well as water bodies chemicals pollution that scaled across Northern Region Districts communities and neighboring African countries and 1,500,000 people and farmers are affected. The partnership will conduct effective environmental sustainability education for community environmental management committees for continue giving capacity training education for community people and farmers to engage in food production, biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, environmental protection and management.
The solutions are environmental sustainability and rice production; We first ensure environmental sustainability before we clear the farm lands for tractor services; we then create bounds around farm lands for conservation of water to prevent water, fertilizers and Soil nutrients
from run off; we start planting rice by sowing using rob for creating street lines on the farm land by using ancestral technology conservation system. We plough and harrow the lands before sowing, the fertilizers are also apply by sowing. The farms activities are monitored by partnership project coordinator and monitoring staffs working with 50 out-growers in the various farms with support of technical partners. The partnership supports the out-growers production technology training, input supply and micro-financing for production paddy rice and ensures routine supply to the Partnership Enterprise industry for processing and marketing. The production capacity will Increase funding investment for improvement of partnership Enterprise’s agribusiness related infrastructures, farmers income, human resources development for improving food security and hunger reduction. The project is projected to sustained and impact food sustainable system in the northern region’s rural and urban farming communities for improving agribusiness economic, poverty and hunger reduction to meet the SDG target.
The solution serve smallholder farmers including women, disables, youths, vulnerable and customers in the society for Improving direct food product chain marketing arrangements between producers, exporters and customers on the one hand and partnership enterprise on the other hand with the aim of building long-term market partnerships that will attract investors and economic growth. We engage them for participating in the project actions to work and Explore new sourcing and retail business models for alternative market outlets, develops innovative scientific technology and cost-effective production, processing and food storage systems for marketing and consumption. Among Agribusiness firms who are competing with the partnership Enterprise are; Avanash Rice Company, Gundaa Produce Company and Junny Agro Limited who are providing similar products. What makes our solution different from these competitors is the partnership transformation of production by using Bio-mimicry and ancestral Technology for enhancing the resilience of the natural environment in the farming communities, and thus adapt to climate change weather conditions and develop policies and new ways for expanding rice farming systems to include standard innovative industrial scientific modern processing industry with installation of processing plant equipment for quality processing to improve marketing value chain investment and attractive to our Regional Africa market customers and consumers; The partnership adoption of environment sustainability and technologies rice plantation and marketing chain systems that overcome challenges and dynamic issue and improved effective delivery of extension services for quality rice production and improved partnership’s agribusiness and policy that employed a wide range of evolving technologies and farm practices across many different farming systems and structures to meet rice products demands from our customers and consumers, both from national and international markets outlets. Biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation production technology makes partnership food products unique for overcoming our current competitors.
The core technology that power the partnership solution is Biological conservation technology through using Bio-mimicry and ancestral Technology for enhancing the resilience of the natural environment in the farming communities, and thus adapt to historical weather conditions and to develop policies and new innovations of rice production that solve production challenges and ensure sustainably food security. these Bio-mimicry and ancestral technology is apply through climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation such as soil nutrients, water, nitrogen and ecosystem for increasing the partnership food production both rain fed and irrigation. High temperature affects rice growth, to prevent such occurrences we ensure breeding and using ancestral system technology to improve high temperature tolerance of rice that help to mitigate the negative effects of high temperature. We also adopt sowing, water and nutrient management to mitigate the effects of high temperature on rice performance through crop rotation and irrigation.
Bio-mimicry and ancestral Biological conservation technology system is widely practiced in most of Ghana farming communities resulting increasing productivity in most of the District farming communities. The Karaga District farming communities practices Bio-mimicry and ancestral Biodiversity conservation technology innovation in food production especial rice production, they engage in biodiversity conservation by participating in tree plantation on degraded lands, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, avoiding aggro-chemicals and fertilizers run off through climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation and environmental management that contributed and increased rice production and economic growth in the Karaga District farming communities. This technology has also practiced through piloting at Kuala and Gbrimah rice farming communities in the Northern region of Ghana, all environmental farm lands and water bodies were biological conserved and farmers continued adapting climate change rice production system resulting increased in production and sustainable food security and well-being in the two communities.
