THE GOOD NUTRITION

We can give a contribution to fight the badnutrition, the diseases, to help and substain the immune system through natural food produced by food supplements. Not only, the production of several types of microalgae let to save our ecosistem because the microalgae absorb the carbon in atmosphere and we promote the cultivation in each city centre so to obtain two results: feeding and environment. We propose to insert in each urban planning areas cultivated with algae. This idea can change positively the life of many people in the world. The microalgae contain trace elements, minerals, vitamins and proteins . They can capture the carbon and to converte it in biochimical products as food for humankind. They are a sustainable resource. 

The problem is very important in poor countries where we are working. The carbon is too much and the population hasn't nutrients and badnutrition, two aspects we want solve.  We would want to begin our experimental work in the schools for the feeding and to fight badnutrition but in the same time we have to talk with the institutions and we have to show the documentation to the Local Authorities because they can to plane and to build some areas of algae cultivation in the city centre or to give to start up by our project the grant also through public private agreement

Our solution is to build in each city centre some areas cultivated with microalgae. It depends on the dimension of the city centre if one or more plants are built. The plants are equipped with thanks but the algae can be produced through bioreactors in small dimension. So we can promote two solutions in small or big dimension.

The target population is represented by the children of two schools in Nairobi Kenya and by representatives of local authorities. The children will replay to the questions of the questionnaire about the nutrition with the help of the teachers. The representatives of Local Authorities will partecipate to interviews to give informations. They will partecipate to our programme from  beginning to the end. 

We have two ways to solve the problem of nutrition and the environment in poor countries.We thought to begin our work from the school.The first step is to make a questionnaire in two schools in Nairobi. The second step is to analyze the results of the control group before and after the somministration of food.The third step is to show the results of the recearch to the Institutions.It will give a big contribute to fight bad air , produced by the fire of waste, produced by pollution of the waste water. The microalgae are considered the "scavengers of the environment"

We haven't competitors in the area where we will develop our project. 

We will have collaborators, they will help us to make better. 

Our solution can be unique in its type because it pursues some important objectives, among which: to optimize the diet of the population in poor Countries, to clean the environment and to save the habitat.

I think a practice as this will be realized for the first time and its results will be object of great interest also for other Countries in the world.

The technology is based on the use of digital instruments for the experimental phase. The operative phase of the production of microalgae will be realized building some tanks in city centre, so this phase will give work to people. It needs of workers and technical and engineers to the production in the plants. The production can be made also by BIOREACTORS, they don't occupe the space and they produce microlgae through the photosyntesi. They can be transported without effort and they can be used in every place.

The technology usefull for our project is used by the Company, we are collaborating (ATI BIOTECH SRL). It is a new tyechnology, photobioreactors. It is important because in small place it can be used, it don't need to have a plant or a large tank for a small production.

we will use as publicity form all the informatic technology, web site, blog, newsletters, app, audiovisual media  ....

Immediate outputs for our actions are the results of our experimental phase  and the informations for the Local Institutions.

Longer terms outputs are: 1)  the good nutrition for the children of a food comprehensive of minerals, vitamins and proteins; 2) the good informations to the Local Institutions about the importance of the microalgae for the feeding and for the environment; 3) the results of the low carbon after the work of the algae because the algae will absorb the carbon in the air and they will clean also the waste water.

We will make interviews with target population in outskirts of Nairobi where are the schools because in that area live the families of the children.

The target population are the children of the schools but also the habitants of the area where will be built the plants for the cultivation and for the production of microalgae.

The final output is the health for the people through an important good practice

400 CHILDREN we are serving

1100 children we will serve in a year in two schools

5500 children in 5 years

we will serve 10.000 people in one year in the outskirts of Nairobi   

My organization is already collaborating to the challange we want to realize in this great project. It is working with the schools in Kenya, realizing meetings about the feeding, it is helping the children and the families.

I think this project will offer an big impact on the population because it will improve their health also against coronavirus, helping the immune system with the assumption of alga spirulina. 

There are many recearches in this matter, there are scientific recearches about the benefits of  microalgae also against some pathologies

Our objective and our goal can be achieved also this time with our commitment and willpower. Sure we need of a financiament because alone we can't to reach the finish line. We can meet cultural barrier because the people has to be informed through a work we will be in the schools with the teachers and the family. The Local Institutions will make the rimanent part after they have been informed and they are aware of the effectiveness of this important goal to growth and to develop a new food and a new strategy for the environment 

The Schools are important Partners because in the schools we will make the first step. 

Here will be realized courses for the children and the families about the feeding and the importance of integrators.

Local Institutions will have to make their role. They will have to substain our action and to build the plants or help some start up to realize our idea. They can use also bioreactors in the city centre to obtain the results for the environment

In my organization there are 22 persons all members volunteers

8 are full time and the other partial time.Then there are the volunteers, variable number

The team of my organization is:  project manager,expert of nutrition (nutrizionist), expert in psicotherapy (psicologist), journalist, expert in informatic science, web master, sociologist, volunteers.

We have a long experience in planning of cooperation and projects of growth and development. We have realized projects on feeding, health and wellness, tutoring, assistance,  culture, cooperation also in collaboration with local Authorities

In terms of impact the model of business is given to Local Authorities but also to private investitors, start up helped by government to open a plant for production of microalgae

The production of microalgae can have important effects on local business. The microalgae are mixed with food and they can be sold in the local market. The production of microalgae can create occupation and services in the field of nutrition but also in field of environment as workers in the plots or for the tanks where the microlagae are produced

The social, cultural, material and economic barriers we want to fight by SOLVE because we have now the possibility to say our ideas, to make proposals, to realize our project. We can go on by information, by cases history, by scientific recearch, by innovative strategy and technological instruments to help people and the environment. 

We have to disseminate the results and to show to the Local Institutions to make good practices to growth the local enterprises and the population.

The barriers are often cultural barriers with the communication and demonstrative examples we will succeed in our goal

The partnership has to be representative in the project because it has to bring value. So we have to work with it beginning the project already before in its elaboration. 

With the Schools in Kenya our Association has signed an agreement for partnership. 

We are collaborating with the italian Company ATIBIOTECH SRL . We have already realized a project about the nutrition in Oloosrikon Primary School on February- March 2020 and are collaborating in other projects

Potential Partnership would be the University of Nairobi, Jomo Kenyatta University, Department of Health  and Education Department, because our work would have to be a scientific work also to publish in scientific newspapers.

We can contact the Italian Ambassy and the AICS  of Nairobi for the Cooperation 

The other Schools will be interested, they can be Partners so the other Counties in Kenya

Also the Enterprises will be interested , they can converte their work and to give know how

The younger can be interested because they will have new opportunities of work and the local associations for younger, women, organizations for the environment

We tried to give accomodation and meals but we helped them to have the permission and to insert in the society. That was a beautiful experience for me.

They are many years perhaps my life I work in the field of humanitarian help. My association and my team substain some poor children in Nairobi and there are the adopters they send every month a substain to the children through the association. We help them in the studies, in the health and we help also the families.

My team always is collaborating with me to write projects, relations and every work for the association. In Kenya we are registered in Coordination of Italian Association in Kenya and we have a keniote member as representative of the association. 

We have realized humanitarian actions in Covid period helping families, giving food and building borehole
