1. The project aim to reduce significantly the supply of eggs and chicken from the neighbouring state. Bayelsans relied completely on Delta state for eggs supply and chicken supply. The aim is to set up a poultry farm that will supply at least 90% of both eggs and chicken for the entire state
2.The solution is to set up the project using locally available raw materials (alternative) for the feeds and using abundantly available materials(bamboo) for the cage. This will reduce the cost of setting up the farm significantly. 3. The solution will stop dependences of Bayelsans on Deltans for egg and chicken supply. Moreover, the availability of these essential foods will increase, and it will be more affordable.
I am solving availability and affordability of food and more importantly, sustainability of food.
The supply will be faster, it will be affordable and available. There will be no dependences on the neighbouring state for supply which sometimes causes inflation on the cost of supply.
The state will be self sufficient 90% on sustainable egg and chicken supply chain.
Bayelsans are civil servant state. Agric business are not common. It is less than 1% for a populatio of about 1million people. Poultry farm are not available, hence the state dependences on neighbouring state for agricultural produce sustaince.
1.I need hammer mills to crush poultry feeds which are majorly maize, soya beans, groundnut cake, brewers dried grain, bone meal, oyster shell and salt. These are mixed in appropriate ration.
2. Battery cage system is very expensive. Wood and bamboo which are readily available and abundantly cheap are used to build the battery cage.
3 .Ford transit van will be used to supply the eggs and chicken for the state.
1.I move to Bayelsa early this year. I found out that water, egg, chicken ,bread (common foods) are supplied by the neighbouring state. I found out that majority of them are civil servant and they are not enlightened in Agric business development.
2. Their population is about 1.5million. There no poultry farm, hence opportunity to start a poultry farm comes up. I decided to find a better place just outskirt of the city to set it up.3,
3. I have made discussion with some youths to engage them in the project. They are willing to learn and be engaged in the project.
3 I am training some to be expert on poultry feeds production and management and training some on poultry management.
4. The waiting time for egg supply will reduce by 99% and the cost price will reduce by 50%, hence it will be readily available to common man
- Support small-scale producers with access to inputs, capital, and knowledge to improve yields while sustaining productivity of land and seas
1 The solution addresses problem with supply chain management. It also improve availability of foods to the state. It reduces risk of spoilage of foods
2. The solution addresses the training of unengaged youths. The trained youths will be self reliant. They can easily sustain their life and the community
3. It will be like chain reaction;others will learn ,more will be engaged, criminality will reduce significantly
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model
- A new business model or process
The solution is unique in the sence that locally sourced materials will be used throughout its life span.
The feeds will be sourced locally, the battery cage will be sourced locally, .
Hence, the cost of production will be reduced significantly, expansion will take place faster than expected
The technology that supports the business model is spreadsheet, the spreadsheet (Excell) will be programmed it will used to forecast the expected egg and profit from the sales of the egg.
Excell is a common spreadsheet that are used in inventory control and management. Accountants, managers also use Excell.
- Software and Mobile Applications
Bamboos are common in NigerDelta in Nigeria, it is normally cut down and allow to rotten. If people find out that it can be used to build battery cage, then other usefulness of it will start to come up. The oyster shell that NigerDeltan normally throw away will become useful, the brewers waste will become beneficial also

It will start with 1000 within a month and gradually up to 50,000 within a year and gradually up to 1.5 million within five years
Once I start training of 5-10 on the project, this will transform to about 5000 within a year.

1. I provide sustainable egg and chicken production. Training for youth on animal feeds production and management.
2. The population of about1.2million are the targets with 90% are civil servants.
3. By using locally sourced materials in production, then the cost of production will reduce and selling price of the products will be affordable by the populace.
4. By using Ford van, the products will be distributed easily , even to remotest part of the state.
5. I will provide egg and chicken supply chain for the populace by
a. designing my feed ration
b. Producing the feed ration myself
c. Distributing the product myself.
6. The impact of my project is to reduce over dependence of the populace on agric supply chain from other state. And significant reduction on cost of procuring eggs and chicken
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
1. I need funds to acquire birds, van and land

1. Training of youth to be self reliant. This is achieved by training them in feed rationing formula.
2. Training youth in poultry management and production
Poultry production are open to both men and women
