Post harvest loses has been the major course of low food production by farmers due to poor production and distribution Value chain hence creating other factors such as middle men and brokers who pay less to farmers and sell expensively to consumers.

Megapoint foods Solutions aims to create a web based mobile application that is going to link the major food production and distribution value chain, setting a central control point for collection, to value addition ( Food store) and finally to consumers via food kiosk/booth technology.

This will ensure that farmers are paid for every produce realized as it shall be taken for value addition to lengthen the lifespan hence boost moral to produce more. Consistent distribution to consumers is guaranteed as processed food can be stored for longer time.

The major problem is post harvest loses of produce due to improper market availability and access, Lack of proper Food value chain to ensure harvest realized are properly stored and distributed for consumption.

This affects Majorly the Farmers as when they produce more demand goes down as there is more they sell at cheaper cost and as for the perishabla such Tomatoes get spoiled, and cereals get affected by pests due to lack of proper storage. 

When this happens no food is stored for use later and this drive the cost of the little available to be up affecting the bigger percentage of population of about 85% who lives on under $1 per day.

Megapoint Foods Solutions, Aims to create an online Web based platform. This us for the purpose of linking the value chain levels, Farmers, Processors, Distributors for the purpose of knowing where they are located and what they are engaged in and their capacity.

Farmers will produce, processors will add value and Distributors shall distribute the processed food.

We also aim to use distribution kiosks/ booth technology to access the interior parts of the community.

The major Target population are the informal section who lives on day to day hand to mouth activities with long income less than $1 per day. 

Consistent and reliable food supply will be able to allow them plan with the low income they have as they will be able to predict food price for a given period of time. 

The project will be able to create job opportunities especially at food kiosk attendant, Food stores workers, transport sector, processing factories will be able to employ also. 

Above all these the issue of hunger shall have been addressed.

Lack of proper supply ,distribution value chain has affected the producer as a lot of post harvest loses occur, this intern demorize them to produce more hence affectingbthe entire consumer population leading to hunger.

The solution is here to ensure that producers get reward for their efforts and that the produced yeild become beneficial to the consumer at a good cost.

In the process we shall create a business model at the food stores, farms, food kiosks, That will see number of employment increased and also growing the economy.
