RWANGELUS TECHNOLOGY AND CONSULTANCY ltd
Rwanda as fast growing country we need to feed on best food. There are around 500 million smallholder farmers in the world, and they produce up to 80% of the food consumed in Africa and Asia. Africa’s smallholder farmers face many challenges preventing them from scaling up their participation in markets, including insecure rights to land and natural resources, lack of access to quality inputs and financial services, inadequate support from research and extension services, and high transaction costs caused by poor rural infrastructure. Challenges are even greater for women and youth farmers, who constitute the majority of farmers in Africa.By using organic farming these group will be able to access to different inputs and seeds. We are planning to establish an organic fertilizer production plant using organic waste and tissue culture laboratory to multiply and conducting different research and diagnosis of seeds and diseases.
They are net buyers of food and very vulnerable to food price increases and spikes. Smallholders therefore play a critical role in addressing the challenges of food security, poverty and climate change. We are committed to solve the following problems:
- Access to market
- Quality seeds and organic fertilizer
- Access to organic pesticides
- Conducting research and development in agriculture sector.
Technical this will be important to the 75% smallholder farmers of east Africa.
Our solutions
In order to overcome these challenges we are planning to:
- To search link between smallholders farmers and exporters (dealers) to access on market.
- To establish an organic fertilizer production plant and organic pesticides
- To establish a tissue culture laboratory for research and development.
Foods needs vary dramatically from region to region and among countries within regions of the world. This means that approaches to food security have to be tailored to each situation. Overall in Africa, however, population growth, poverty and agricultural production capabilities are critical factors when considering food security.
Reuse of agricultural waste and using organic pesticides will create a hope and trust in smallholder farmers where ethic and culture prevent some farmers to develop to the next level of their agribusiness. Seeds development and checking on spot will be also an added value on smallholder farmers. we are engaging in research and development to analyse their needs and see what they can use at the right time.
