PROBLEM
Over the 50% of fish production is lost in Sub-Saharan Africa countries especial In Rwanda because severe weather,pollution ,toxic or high rates of acidity and natural predication.
SOLUTION
We were bringing the hardware device and platform where you can monitor the water condition (water environment or water quality parameters ) anywhere,anytime using through mobile app,web app and sms notification .
Impact
Fish plays an important role in fighting hunger and malnutrition. fish is some of source of proteins and healthy fats like vitamin D ,calcium and omega-3s ,so That
Using this system the fish productivity will be increase to 70% ,
easy way for farmers to get information from water by tracking water condition.
31,460 tons in 2018 in Rwanda /RAB (Rwanda Agriculture Board )estimated to reach on 112,000 tons in 2024 per each year.and

Fish farming is one of the significant business in Sub saharan Africa especial in Rwanda. One should pay high attention to the growth of fishes in the pond because inappropriate maintenance of ponds would result in heavy capital losses. Our smart monitoring device called Wameter ensures optimized profits and less manual efforts. As, it continuously monitors various hydrobiological parameters like DO, pH, Chlorine,BOD, Temperature, and Feed etc… it supports the growth of fishes by balancing the parameters. Thus, the installation of our smart sensor system will surely enable you the right way of fish farming and assist you to achieve high profitability.
The device communicates with the GSM network or LoRa Gateway using the standard LoRaWAN protocol and the measured/monitored data is transmitted to the network server. The web application processes this data and takes appropriate action like sending SMS, as alerts to the registered users and data being stored on database for future use .
We are targeting the fish farmers in different cooperatives and individuals both have 152,000 fishing area which is equal to the devices needed .we are giving them the system in order to improve their productivity .not only that the system will be applied also in:
Swimming pools water companies providers for drinking water Environmental Testing and research lab Industrial make up waters Waste water treatment plant

we made the research ,approached the fish farmers ,collected all problems their faced and came up with that system , it was not hard for me as founder because I grown in fish farmer's family , before When I was a young I woke up in morning with my family went to fish and there was the fishes died float .
After Academia I started to make a research and came with first prototype .
The fish farmers liked the system because it is going to improve their productivity.

Our Unique
We are bringing the easy way where the user will get be update from the device installed in water , data is store on the database for future use or for making the research
User who don't have a smart phone not worry because our system gives the update as sms to his/her feature phone.
Data is real time and live through the web app and we are looking how can use also mobile app , but on this stage we only have web app.

They have the water monitoring devices but they use screen to visualize the data -but our system use online data access and store
Other competitors they use chemical to the substances but taking sample of water put the reagent and get the color change , this is time consumption and costly - our system has a platform where each user will pass on it or login to the platform to access all devices's data
We are using IoT Technology .
It Supports both GSM and Low Power long-range wireless radio frequency technology (LoRaWAN). This highly secured data transmission technology required for the Internet of Things (IoT) applications enables real-time communication of data and analytics that can be utilized to enhance efficiency , productivity and Tracking the devices.
The device is designed with rugged and high accuracy dissolved oxygen, temperature ,Chlorine and PH sensors. These sensors measures/monitors Dissolved Oxygen, temperature ,Chlorine and pH values in the water.

My story
I grown in fish farmer family , the most challenge we faced was about fish died and I asked myself why ? after time a made a research for how to over come that problem , I got a chance for IoT training in support of Kobe Institute of computing from Japan , for how IoT can make more impact to the community if it applies in different system , at that time , they fitted to the problem I have faced before . that why I came up with that solution.
