CORPORACIÓN ONG PROCESOS
To help solve the problem of the increasing of the precariousness and unemployment of women the project focuses on the development of new roles for women related to the concept of environmental citizenship through the creation of a Promotion Network of the SAT (Socially Appropriate Technologies) in the field of the use of the solar energy, the implementation of Workshops of development of technological objects related, the self-construction and the development of instructive audiovisual products in constructive techniques that will be spread through the social networks. The learning and construction of SAT as a collective and associated work and the development of citizen protagonism through the generation of local environmental schedules and the development of monitoring experiences, are efficient tools to promote the environmental equity and set up new protagonisms contributing to a model of Local Environmental Management where the community is a generating agent of solutions and proposals
The high cost of gas and electric energy that affects the household economy, the increasing of the precariousness and unemployment of women, the weakening of the quality of life due to negative external factors arising from an untenable model of development, dare us to use the Socially Appropriate Technologies (SAT) to improve the environmental and social conditions of the impoverished surroundings and also they help to better off the life style and the use of cheap and low environmental impact energetic resources.
Half of the Chilean population earn less than 425 dollars a month and spend approximately 20 percent of that income on gas and electric power
The use of the SAT in the urban areas is something feasible and helpful for the improvement of social and enviromental conditions in the populated areas.
Collective work, development of city protagonism and monitoring experiences will permit the incentive of those improvements in which the community is the generating agent of solutions and proposals.
To develop technological solutions and of urban local management to face problems of development of low sustainability and social and environmental inequities by implementing a school of citizen technologies for the sustainable development and the use of renewable energies in a community context
The use of the Socially Appropriate Technologies in the urban areas is something feasible and helpful for the improvement of social and enviromental conditions in the populated areas.
The Government policies concerning the social development and the initiatives of the local governments regarding the community development have not intervened yet in this line of work. There is a complement between this proposal and some programs promoted by the Chilean Goverment, such as those of self-consumption, i.e., production of food for family consumption, whose outcomes are limited as a consequence of the high cost of the fuel for food production. The current Project searches for the development of new protagonisms of the women in direct relation with the idea of environmental citizenship.
A relevant actor in the development and implementation of this project will be the housewives who will participate actively by giving support to the convocation of the beneficiaries of the project, they will coordinate the execution of the workshops permanently and will take part in them with the purpose of learning the implementation of technologies for the use of the solar energy. The application of what they are learning will be of high impact for the economy of their houses and they will be able to manage the use of the energetic resources in a more efficient way and future endeavors and such training will also allow them to generate job opportunities through associative ventures
The object is to improve the welfare of the marginalized and vulnerable families and for this it is necessary to increase their incomes. This can be carried out by having access to a job with an adequate salary or by diminishing the expenses to cover other needs
The beneficiaries will be trained in the technologies that use the sunlight to generate energy marginalized and vulnerable homes with the intention of producing savings of costs and generate possibilities of new managements for those families
- Increase the number of girls and young women participating in formal and informal learning and training
The Socially Appropriate Technologies to provide the community, in spetial to the women, with appropriate tools to mitigate the external influencies, and also they help to better off the life style and the use of cheap and low environmental impact energetic resources.
Teaching these technologies will allow women to have the possibility of creating their own ventures to generate income in a collaborative/associative way
The work methodology is associated with the concepts of popular education. It uses didactic resources based on the Learning by doing, the auto-documentary, the oral history and the development and strengthening of the local identity
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model
- A new application of an existing technology
The use of SAT, particularly those of solar energy, are initiatives connected only with rural contexts without taking into consideration slum areas. The use of the SAT in the urban areas is something feasible and helpful for the improvement of social and enviromental conditions in the populated areas. The Government policies concerning the social development and the initiatives of the local governments regarding the community development have not intervened yet in this line of work.
This Project searches for the development of new protagonisms in direct relation with the idea of environmental citizenship. The collective and asociated work in which the learning and the construction of SAT, the development of city protagonism by means of the generation of local environment schedules and the development of monitoring experiences, are efficient tools to promote the environmental equity and set up new actions that contribute to a model of Local Environmental Management where the community is a generating agent of solutions and proposals.
Cost savings by using alternative technologies and technical training to start new businesses
Formation of Local Promoters Network for Appropriate Technologies, agent of change that will allow local participatory.
Rescue-oriented teaching model of self-knowledge of the communities together to find creative look for synergies authorized.
Cooperative forms of construction and distribution of alternative technologies, renewable energy and learning of project management techniques that will induce economic enterprises.
Alternative educational process where the citizen is an actor of the educational process to appropriate the contents evoking their ancestral knowledge.
The project will use socially appropriate technologies (TSA) to develop technological solutions and local urban management to face unsustainable development problems and social and environmental inequities, implementing a school of Citizen Technologies for sustainable development and installation of the need and viability of the use of renewable energies in a community-population context. TSA production workshops will be implemented that will be the basis of the training program called Citizen School of Appropriate Technologies aimed at women belonging to poor families in the community.
These workshops will allow the participatory construction of 100-liter solar collectors to heat water for household use, parabolic cookers with a capacity of 1 kW / h for cooking food, and witches' pots to improve the performance of the use of household gas in the feeding. The registration and production of instructional audiovisual documentaries on the self-construction of the indicated products in population contexts will also be carried out. The participants in the workshops will also be trained in the techniques that allow the elaboration of said videos so that they can carry out the editing.

The work team is made up of nine people, five women and four men. Three of these members work full time and six part time.
The profiles are diverse, engineers, technicians, audiovisual specialists all with relevant experience and who will contribute to the implementation of the proposed project.
The members of the work team have extensive experience in the development of products and services in the area of innovative technologies. We have participated in the implementation of projects of different magnitude in which technologically innovative prototypes have been developed in the world of non-conventional renewable energy and in the area of robotics and home automation that have allowed the creation of new ventures. All the members have academic experience and have developed teaching and learning projects in different technological subjects. As a team we have implemented numerous training workshops for young people and we have gained significant experience in social and educational projects towards the community in different urban sectors. The team also manages information technologies, internet of things and matching learning and is always constantly updating its theoretical and practical knowledge of new technologies. Some of its members have extensive experience in audiovisual techniques and have held video editing workshops in popular sectors.
The members are well cohesive and we know how to work as a team. We are very committed to the objectives set out in the project presented and motivated to carry it out to benefit a significant number of women who live in very poor sectors of the city and give them the opportunity to undertake and generate their own income.
There is a strategic alliance with four companies that have significant experience in non-conventional renewable energy. Members of these companies actively participate in the project presented. The first company is called Cero Polvo SpA, which is dedicated to the automated cleaning of photovoltaic panels through a robot that enables the automation of said process. The second company is called UrbanSpark SpA, which has developed and commercialized an electrogenerating tile that generates electrical energy when stepped on. The third company is called SolarJump SpA, which is developing a prototype of an intelligent system that optimizes the generation of electrical energy from the photovoltaic panels installed in photovoltaic plants. The fourth institution works on audiovisual projects of all kinds and has actively participated in audiovisual training projects. The sum of all the experiences and knowledge of all the members of the indicated companies strengthen the implementation of the project and ensure its success. There is theoretical and practical knowledge in all the products that fall within socially appropriate technologies (witch cookers, solar collectors, solar ovens and parabolic cookers and others)
