Le Coeur N'TENDA
1. Despite the progress made worldwide in the education of young girls, the number of young girls who do not have access to education remains considerable.
2. The project that we have set up is a project to support the education of 400 disadvantaged children. The project takes place very precisely in 80 villages from the savannah region of Togo.
3. With an international scope, our solution will allow more young girls to benefit from their right to education in order to offer them a better future.
In a social context, gender discrimination played a big role in the lack of education of young girls. History shows that parents favored schooling for boys over girls. In addition, some parents still think that girls should stay at home and focus on household chores. As a result, they do not encourage their children to attend school.
Our solution meets 5 objectives:
1. Identify and educate 400 children, in particular young girls, from 80 villages in the Savannah region;
2. Contribute to improving the enrollment rate in said region;
3. Provide abandoned orphans in the savannah region with follow-up and full access to school education;
4. Sustaining education gains in Togo;
5. Create a digital library in rural areas and introduce children to digital technology so that they can master basic software;
The beneficiaries of this project are not only children and, in particular, young girls, but also the general population as well as public authorities and teachers.
To achieve our objectives, we have implemented :
-a capacity building workshop;
- Awareness sessions and delivery of 400 school kits;
-Meetings with public authorities
- Meetings with primary and secondary teachers;
-Television and radio programs to raise awareness of access to education for children and, in particular, young girls.
- Promote gender-inclusive and gender-responsive education for everyone, including gender non-binary and transgender learners
As explained in the question relating to the proposed solution, our objective is to combat gender discrimination; work with parents to make them understand that it is essential that their daughters have access to education. Because allowing young girls to have an education is to invest in their future and their insurance both personal and professional.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth
- A new business model or process
The Association " Le Coeur N'TENDA" innovates compared to other organizations because it does not only raise awareness or make donations as some do.
It supports children for the long terme with activities that supervise children from the beginning to the end of the year through homework help, rehearsals and literacy courses for children who are not in school.
However, some organizations after sharing toys or donations disappear and wait months to reappear and make more donations. We are not saying that donations are not necessary. We only consider that it is not an effective long-term approach.
In order to have more lasting results, we intervene directly in the education and learning of children while taking measures to ensures that more young girls have acces to education.
Through our actions, we wish to become a partner for the education sector. This is the reason why we want to provide our various seats with a library room and computer room so that children can have free and free access to all the tools and materials necessary for their success.
We are constantly organizing television and radio programs. These broadcasts are essentially intended to reach a wider audience and therefore to promote the need for greater participation by all actors in the education of orphans and needy children.
In order to celebrate the Day of African Child, we have implemented several actions, including but not limited to informing the public about the situation of children in Togo and the mechanisms that can protect them.
Among the actions, we can cite among others the campaigns on social networks via the design of visuals and shorts videos, radio and television programs, the production of documentaries and others.

African countries like Togo are characterized by an environment where poverty reigns. To this poverty are added other social situations such as the loss of one or both parents, which today constitutes a brake on the pursuit of the studies of many children often abandoned to themselves and consequently a danger for the society.
Faced with the great challenges of sustainable development for the future of the planet and of humanity, a policy of development and international solidarity must be put in place to fight against extreme poverty and reduce inequalities. From this perspective, equal access to education for all is the very foundation of all the other sustainable development goals.
