KF providing education for girls & women
The lessons I hope world learns from COVID-19 is, we invest on nurses/midwives." Tedros Ghebreyesus, DG, WHO, on the nurse shortage during the coronavirus pandemic. We have an obligation to keep frontline healthworkers safe, making sure all have PPEs, they need. NGOs should offer solutions that build on existing tools and systems to avoid overtaxing national COVID-response teams. All over the world, were seeing reports of health workers who are overworked/underequipped/scared. The COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) pandemic necessitates Governments/donors provide immediate/long-term investments to support frontline healthworkforce teams who are educated, recruited, trained, supported, equipped, and protected to prevent, detect, and respond to global health threats through training. Investments must be in equipment, supplies, training, effective management, and financial support for the retention of healthworkers to ensure that community has workforce needed to save lives, and robust systems to support those workers in detecting, analyzing, and responding to new/emerging public health threats.
While massive economic relief packages are underway but they overlook the millions of vulnerable children, women and men who have borne the impact of this pandemic since health care staff is understaffed, under high stress, crushing caseloads and patient appointments that aren't available for months. It would therefore, be prudent that philanthropic foundations and other donors looking to ameliorate the impact of COVID-19 respond by investing in training of front line healthcare workers in a resilient manner in India. Nurses play a vital role on the front lines of the novel coronavirus pandemic. But a shortage of these essential health care workers could pose challenges in countries dealing with a growing COVID-19 cases. Nurses around the globe are providing care for critically ill & isolated COVID-19 patients, at the risk of their own lives. This is not the first time their importance has been highlighted in international emergencies. The healthcare sector in India is growing at a fast pace. This period of rising prosperity has been marked by continuing rise in disease burden of communicable diseases and a spurt in communicable diseases which accounted for 448,504 Global Deaths due to COVID-19.
KF has initiated the solution through its health skilling programs with a mission to bring healthcare of international standards within the reach of every individual. It's committed to the achievement and maintenance of excellence in education, research and healthcare for the benefit of humanity. The healthcare sector is in dire need of about 17.1 million skilled professionals so as to equalize the supply and demand chain in this domain. KF as premier skilling partner is trying to reduce the skill gap by by conducting skilling courses that are required in the country at this point of time and develop the human resource in India with relevant healthcare skills, academic excellence, on-job training exposure that makes the trainees much more employable as well as reduces the supply demand gap of skilled manpower in healthcare sector. To mitigate such challenges KF offers various unique medical courses for almost all domains of healthcare professionals / students which helps in gaining employable skills from these courses. The fundamental maxim is to come, change, lead and empower the youth of India with employable abilities that will act as a two-way benefit both for the nation as well as the individual and deal with pandemic COVID-19.
Over 55% of the world's population live in cities, with risk of a fast & deadly spread of the infectious COVID-19 in cities with population density, poor access to water and sanitation, and high levels of poverty. These countries have limited healthcare systems that are ill-equipped to support their populations. In India social distancing is a privilege, you need running water, space in your house, and the means to afford not going out to earn money which many Indians, don't have. All Governments must help developing countries to increase investment in health systems, scale-up numbers of health workers, and sustain support to existing health and health-related programs, such as hand washing stations, clean water, sanitation and nutrition etc. KF has a particularly important leadership role to play working with the international NGOs, governments and civil society to coordinate a swift global humanitarian response to assist and protect populations most at risk. In the current scenario, the total Indian population approx 135.26 crores is the target audience and especially the COVID-19 patients. To save lives, COVID-19 must be contained and then eradicated everywhere which is not possible through funds, machines or equipment but competent human resource which our program will deliver.
- Strengthen competencies, particularly in STEM and digital literacy, for girls and young women to effectively transition from education to employment
KF aligns both the Challenge and selected dimension through want of a good education, since education is key to the empowerment and fulfillment of dreams of all stakeholders and every thing else would follow. Alongside empowering girls, good education is a powerful force that can contribute towards making our society more just, equitable, humane and sustainable in a comprehensive manner. To address the continuity problems in education we have developed, adopted comprehensive, nuanced and integrated road map policy framework, for the transformation of such education sectors. Significant investment are made to ensure equitable of disadvantaged group with well trained teachers.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth
- A new application of an existing technology
We are focused completely on how closely we can work with the industry, to make sure that we are able to confidently go an hospital and say "I can help you hire the right health worker". Towards finding the ideal match, we have taken a call to work with the leading hospitals in the country to help secure the right talent for them, understanding their competencies they require and mapping them onto candidates who are applying. The skilling needs to fix as industry requirements and we feel that the skill gap hasn't allowed us to exploit our abilities to the max. Because companies are not looking at great personalities, as they need somebody who'll get the job done. The health industry is not looking at just cognition, or only domain skill, which they can test on their own, they are looking at somebody who can help them in taking decisions. That's why we are trying to focus on the problem which we are solving for our client / customer, and we will build that capability. The route, upgrading to grow needs reskilling which requires a lot of hard work. We understand various job roles in the health industry and can predict what competencies are required for these jobs in the health industry. Thereafter, we create tools which quantify how far a trainee is from where he needs to be. It needs a lot of research and we invest in getting the right talent on board, which is our USP.
In today's dynamic world, skills are the driving force for talent. In addition, technology is gaining prominence as more job-roles require digital competencies. Al-powered solutions address major challenges that are facing the healthcare field. The demand for diagnostic services is outpacing the supply of experts in the workforce. Developing solutions for managing this ever-increasing workload is a crucial task for the healthcare sector. Diagnostic experts and physicians need a new set of tools that can handle large volumes of medical data quickly and accurately, allowing you to make more objective treatment decisions based on quantitative data and tailored to the needs of the individual patient. To provide this new toolset, we need to draw on the power of artificial intelligence (AI). Some others are Direct-to-Consumer Innovation, Telehealth Improves Healthcare and Physician Acces, Wearables and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and using AI to Transform Mental Health Care etc. Besides, one of the biggest benefits of the digital revolution has been the ability to store and access data. Healthcare professionals can now retrieve patient data from anywhere. Also, the intranet and internet have allowed healthcare professionals to share medical information rapidly with each other, resulting in more efficient patient care. For those conducting epidemiological studies, research, or clinical trials, digital technology allows for the instant collection of data from a much more diverse and larger population than ever before. Such data collection allows for meta-analysis and permits healthcare professionals to stay on top of cutting edge techniques and trends.
AI is a key technology for digitalizing healthcare and enables you to transform care delivery, expand precision medicine and improve the patient experience. Companies have developed a portfolio of more than 45 AI-powered solutions that help to automate and standardize not only workflows but also complex diagnostics to meet the needs of the individual patient, while entering the next era of AI-powered solutions. The AI-powered offerings that will shape the future of healthcare viz. the AI-Rad Companion, includes family of AI-powered, cloud-based augmented workflow solutions, helps to reduce the burden of basic repetitive tasks and increases diagnostic precision when interpreting medical images. Its solutions provide automatic post-processing of imaging datasets through AI-powered algorithms. The automation of routine workflows with repetitive tasks and high case volumes helps you to ease daily workflow – so that one can focus on more critical issues.

Create awareness about career opportunities amongst youth with career counseling options. Short-term courses for less skill intensive jobs in sectors such as food processing and construction, which have shown steady growth. The Corporates have also set-up-skill centres for existing workers and skill potential candidates through partnerships with local NGOs or training providers. The industry is partnering local NGOs and training providers to engage in community outreach to raise awareness about skill development and short-term training courses to equip students with the basic skills required for the industry viz. facilitate trainings to apprise farmers about new agro and food processing opportunities, benefits of farm mechanization etc. as some of the value addition programs. The trainee is able to attain a qualification after clearing the requisite test which is recognized by the Government of India and helps to attain life-long employment for survival, social inclusion and economic growth in the long-run, thereby creating a complete transition in the life of the trainee and a life-long value for permanent economic prospects. It may further be pertinent to mention that in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic companies have, overnight been forced to perform a large scale transition of their workforce from the office to remote / home locations. These changes are happening with no room for business disruption, while addressing employees questions and security paramount during this time of uncertainty and change. The concept of microlearning, online coaching and virtual on-the-job support has become more relevant with appropriate digital content for technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), cloud and automation to accelerate skill in health sectors. Enterprises are starting to review their digital presence and security postures more closely. Skills needed to ramp-up on digital products and services, infrastructure services and cyber security are all geared towards sustaining and building communication, collaboration, capabilities and culture in a standard operating model.

Based on the funds availability, KF plans to achieve the impact goals by training and conducting skill and entrepreneurship development programs for the heath care workers during pandemic COVID-19 to the extant possible so as to meet and fulfill the requirement of nurses and health care workers to treat patients across India.
The major barrier is financial and on approval, the program can be conducted across India including backward / aspirational districts with huge social impact on the concept of SKILL INDIA - KAUSHAL BHARAT KUSHAL BHARAT and Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.
As already explained, the financial barrier is a major constraint and for rest KF has the strength to cope with other barriers namely technical, legal. cultural or market barriers as we have a team to take care of all these issues.

The first and foremost is the tendering process, a unique and innovative concept introduced across India thereby substantially bringing down the cost of of skilling programs, irrespective weather a residential / non-residential program. Further, based on interactions with industry, it was observed that challenges are often related to quality of the workforce than quantity. Quality issues are two-dimensional - technical knowledge and behavioral aspects - with prospective employees lacking in either or both of them. Lack of multi skilling was another complaint. Lack of industry relevant courses further disadvantage candidates. All of this results in significant spending on in house training by the industries themselves to prepare candidates in both technical and non technical areas. All the skilling initiatives undertaken by me addressed all the above deficiencies since the training providers had the flexibility to choose market driven trades as there payment was linked to employability / entrepreneurship. Efforts were made to conduct the timely program in SC Pockets / rural / slums / girls / weakest sections of the society were residing. Aadhar & bio-metric attendance were implemented. Geo-tagged Mid-term & Impact Assessment were through a third party, with requisite corrective action taken by the implementation agency on time-to-time basis. And lastly on successful passing the certification, awarding a duly-recognized certificate for life-long employment. All these steps were linked to the payment plan of the training provider. Moreover entrepreneurship guidance with stipend from NSFDC & NSTFDC etc. was exceptional which further added value to the program.
We conduct the programs on our own strength.
KF is cognizant of the current reverse migration that has happened due to COVID-19 pandemic and is trying its best to re-connect them back to employment opportunities in their respective regions, The turmoil caused by the pandemic has resulted in not just millions of workers moving back to the hinterland, but also created new demand patterns for jobs. For the purpose, we are trying to develop that individuals can use to locate and enrol themselves for skilling purposes. The app can also be used to get in touch with employers and provide result both for impact and revenue generation, if any.

In India, we try to seek the CSR Funds of the Corporate Houses mandated by law in India.
Skill & Entrepreneurship Development program for unemployed educated youth. Promoting education, including special education and employment enhancing vocation skills especially among children, women, elderly, and the differently abled and livelihood enhancement projects. Through the program, the trainees get employment which enhances the trainee and family’s standard of living besides improving respectability in society. A Certificate which induces a sense of competitiveness with life-long social, economic and development prospects. The program also supports the Skill India Campaign of Govt. of India. Over 55% of the world's population now live in cities. There is a real risk of a fast and deadly spread of the highly infectious COVID-19 in cities with high population density, poor access to water and sanitation, and high levels of poverty. People in India already struggle to get enough to eat, stay healthy and earn enough money to get by. These countries have limited healthcare systems that are ill-equipped to support their populations. While coronavirus doesn't discriminate in who it attacks, our abilities to deal with it differ. In India social distancing is a privilege, you need running water, space in your house, and the means to afford not going out to earn money which many Indians, don't have. India has been sent reeling by the disease and Government of India enacted financial bailout packages worth trillions for the vulnerable and weakest sections of society. Solve can help in funding my programs for the training of health care workers during COVID-19 in India.
- Funding and revenue model
We need partners who can fund our program with a broad revenue model.
Any Organization can join us subject to our strength deficient.
The team leadership/members/collaborators/partners are kashmiri refugees, all had to run away from their homeland without belongings due to death threats / insurgency from militants and experienced the trauma with families firsthand. The nature and scale of the crisis which the insurgency has led to is unparalleled. In this scenario, solutions do not come from past experiences or best practices. The biggest source of strength was our belief/partnerships we had built over the years. The extraordinary situation at hand called for stakeholders to come together, work side by side and support each other. KF was created under compelling circumstances, for comprehensive action and integrated response to contain and help the kashmiri refugees. KF given its deep connect with spatial and sectoral issues, is a natural partner in such endeavour. There is nobody better placed than KF to understand the pulse at the grassroots and engage closely with migrant communities. The state and district nodal officers are coordinating with us. KF was urged to partner with district administration and contribute to the response / relief efforts. The approach was to leverage the strength and reach of KF in identifying priority areas for action and avoid duplicity of efforts. KF actively running community kitchens, provided shelter to the homeless, organized awareness programs & supported government efforts in setting up health camps etc. From above it is evident that KF resource limitation did not slow it down, in reaching to those in vulnerable situations, even today, as we have commitment/capability to execute beneficent tasks.

Each employee will have a preferred learning style and learn most effectively using a specific method. This could be through video tutorials, written content, in-person training, gamification, audio guided presentations, or something else.
An AI powered training program allows the training program to be adaptive, where the modules are modified to suit the needs of each employee. The LMS might offer video tutorials to certain employees, but auto transcribe the videos to text-based articles for other employees. It could be able to create visuals based on written content and suggest the employee take an in-person training day on sections of the course they are struggling with.
Learning insights also help develop a wider understanding of learner behavior, leading to predictive capacities. Using the insights, KF creates intelligent and smarter positioned content, that’s adaptive, intuitive, and responsive to a learner’s personal journey.
Online assessments - Tests, quizzes and assessments are becoming an important part of e-learning. They help consolidate learning and measure the effectiveness of the learning course. However, one limitation of these assessments is they take a one-size-fits-all approach.
The tests are developed along the line-of-best-fit to ensure that the tests are suitable for all learners whatever their capability. This means that some learners may find such tests too easy and others may find them too difficult.
AI allows us to design adaptive assessments that go beyond the static Q&A format. AI has the ability to assess individual ability and progression, tailoring the subsequent course content based on the results of these assessments.
We are qualified for the prize as we make an investment in learning, this results in significant changes in three key metrics - lower attrition, higher productivity and lower cost of hire. With various courses, we are trying to be more industry relevant and work on more areas to help solve skills of the future health industry.
