WANYANGE CHILD SUPPORT FOUNDATION
We are Prioritizing areas of neglect for GIRL CHILD in our community, putting a stop to Teenage
pregnancy through focusing at grass root level implementation of vocation practical skills,
to school drop outs and teenage mothers, putting the girls back into school. we empower them carrying on experiential learning opportunities mostly in field of sex education and sciences in preventing teenage pregnancy. The hand and soft
skills given to them helps them become the technologists of tomorrow, they will
become self employed and hence achieve self reliance and sustainable development.
When girls are safe, healthy, educated, and empowered, research has shown that they will produce healthier children, earn more income, and help grow economies – making them powerful agents of positive change in the country and world at large the hands on skills produces lasting solution to youth unemployment Globally.
Teenage pregnancies This is cause for concern worldwide. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 16 million girls aging between 15 and 19 years and about one million girls younger than 15 years give birth every year and Vast majority of teenage pregnancies occur in low, income countries .In 2019, the teenage pregnancy rate of Uganda was 27% with Busoga community at 45% according to the Ministry of Health. If no action is taken to control the high school drop outs, abortions, and child neglect. the lack of social security and poverty are the likely possible outcomes worldwide.
COVID-19 pandemic has worsen more ,this has put the girls and women at heightened risk of violence in their homes and cutting them off from essential protection services hence we expect a high rate of pregnancy in the region gender-based violence and sexual assault in villages. The majority of Ugandans who live in the rural areas are poverty stricken as they are unemployed and mostly depend on farming. Poverty among children is said to be extremely high rate of drop outs, this leads forced marriage, which can be both a cause and a consequence.
Our solution is mainly based on vocational training specifically for teenage mothers and enrollment of young vulnerable girls back in schools.
As for the vocational training's specifically the teenage mothers we aim at creating permanent training centers with necessary equipment needed to facilitate the day to day sturdy session e.g. electric tailoring machines, saloon dryers and a fully installed computer lab to provide computer literacy.
For the vulnerable young-girls we have so far enrolled 280 girls in our secondary school establishment (Wanyange progressive school)
But for the primary going pupils we are looking at establishing a primary school in our community to enable them access school.
lastly to deriver cutting age information that suits these modern times we have lined up a team of professionals to work as tutors.
Our project aims at solving and improving the well- being of vulnerable and underprivileged girls, these include school drop outs, teenage mothers and orphans within the Busoga region but later we are looking at extending our interventions in other parts of the country.
With the proper delivery of knowledge to the targeted audiences in the different aspects of our interventions they will be able to venture in self employment activities within their different capacities and also create jobs within their communities and for the young girls back in school they will pursue their dreams to achieve formal employment.
The hand and soft skills given to them helps them become the technologists of tomorrow, they will become self employed and hence achieve self reliance.
When girls are safe, healthy, educated, and empowered, research has shown that they will produce healthier children, earn more income, and help grow economies – making them powerful agents of positive change in the country.
- Increase the number of girls and young women participating in formal and informal learning and training
As per our described project above , we keep the young girls in school and engage the teenage mothers in attaining skills to work for them selves hence meeting their needs,Men will no longer be in position to engage them in sexual related activities for money hence avoiding unwanted pregnancies.
Educating a girl child is educating a nation, they will be employed in formal
sector hence causing development to their communities and the world at large.
keeping them in school is controlling early marriages which would result into teenage mothers.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth
- A new application of an existing technology
skilled human resources are one of the major binding constraints to sustain high economic growth in Africa. It is therefore not surprising that the findings from the study show that African countries need to invest significantly in human capital to reap the benefits arising technology chain in the longer term will come from innovation, knowledge, and skills, we teach computerized tailoring machines which makes learning and production of work easy.such skills are not existing in our busoga region.using computers for production makes it unique.
With modern technology ,Things work a little differently with the machines. Today's high-end home sewing machines have built-in computers, as well as small monitor displays for easier operation. In these models, the computer directly controls several different motors, which precisely makes work easy for any human being ,little knowledge needed to operate the tensioning discs, the feed dog and other elements in the machine. With this fine control, it is possible to produce hundreds of different stitches and many embroiled uniforms. The computer drives the motors at just the right speed to make work easy.
Obviously, this sort of high-tech sewing machine is a bit complex than the fully manual sewing machines of 200 years ago, but they are both built around the same simple stitching, they are best for quality production
So our solution involves computer and electronic sewing machines.we make the girls master computer and work becomes easy and cost production becomes cheap.
The electronic sewing machines create complex embroidery patterns. These machines have a motorized work area that holds the fabric in place underneath the needle assembly. They also have a series of sensors that tell the computer how all of the machine components are positioned. By precisely moving the work area forward, backward and side to side while adjusting the needle assembly to vary the stitching style, the computer can produce an infinite number of elaborate shapes and lines. The sewer simply loads a pattern from memory or creates an original one, and the computer does almost everything else. The computer prompts the sewer to replace the thread or make any other adjustments when necessary. They are used in most developed countries, like German Norway china and some few African countries to produce uniforms both for schools and factories,Its one of the new technologies and with support from solve partners ,it will cause big economic change hence development in our community and country at large.

- Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
When we keep the girls in school both high and vocational we solve the following.
WE REDUCE INFANT MORTALITY
Children of educated women are less likely to die before their first birthday. “Primary education alone helps reduce infant mortality significantly, and secondary education helps even more,” according to “What Works In Girls’ Education.”Infant mortality rate in Uganda 2018 Was at 33.8 deaths per 1,000 live births.
REDUCE MATERNAL MORTALITY
Educated women (with greater knowledge of health care and fewer pregnancies) are less likely to die during pregnancy, childbirth, or during the postpartum period. Increased education of girls also leads to more female health care providers to assist with prenatal medical care, labor and delivery, delivery complications and emergencies, and follow-up care.
IMPROVE Social ECONOMIC GROWTH
Educated women have a greater chance of escaping poverty, leading healthier and more productive lives, and raising the standard of living for their children, families, and communities.
It also benefits nations as a whole: Increasing the share of women with a secondary education by 1 percent boosts annual per capital income growth by 0.3 percent, according to the World Bank. That’s significant, since per capital income gains in developing countries seldom exceed 3 percent a year.
In subsistence farming communities, educated farmers are also more efficient and their farms more productive, which leads to increased crop yields and declines in malnutrition, according to the UN World Food Program.
Quality of life
The UN Human Poverty Index measures and ranks 186 countries using adult literacy rates, probability of living to age 40, access to clean drinking water, and number of underweight children. The lower the number, the better the quality of life.
Child marriage almost always results in the end of a girl’s schooling. The result is illiterate or barely literate young mothers without adequate tools to build healthy, educated families. On average, for every year a girl stays in school past fifth grade, her marriage is delayed a year.
Educated girls typically marry later, when they are better able to bear and care for their children.
