Education for All school proposal
Ivoire Foundation has been actively involved in helping and servicing the need of disadvantage children in rural communities, in Ivory Coast.
Our aim is to give every child the chance to succeed in life, to help
fight inequality and poor education systems, promoting community development, social inclusion among rural communities.
Ivoire Foundation plans to build appropriate school amenities facilities for more than 200 children of the village of Fresco, with 6 classroom, outdoor toilet, canteen and library and also facility to house the 13 teachers who share a two-bedroom house.
This project is important to the community of fresco and the government of the Ivory Coast, both of which, although currently unable to fund the effort, desire to have a better facility into a caring environment, and desires to have its children educated so they may become contributing citizens in the country’s future. We plan to involve the community in the school’s efforts in the following manner.
- Increase the number of girls and young women participating in formal and informal learning and training
Donations from Local Churches Although most ivory coast organisations do not have the funds to donate large sums to charitable efforts, most are willing to contribute small in addition, local citizens will be encouraged to donate clothing, toys, non-perishable foods and fresh produce to the school canteen.
- Scale: A sustainable enterprise working in several communities or countries that is looking to scale significantly, focusing on increased efficiency
- A new business model or process
