Closing the social Gaps in Under-developed Countries: Using Education as a Tool And Technology as a Driver
With the population boom currently experienced in sub-Saharan Africa, Economic analyst may rightly assert that such areas have great possibilities in terms of vibrancy in its workforce as well as a market for potential investors. However, one would be right to assert that such an economy at its best represents nothing short of a ticking time bomb; going by the poor skill level of a vast number of her citizens as well as an extremely poor system and quality of Education (obsolete curriculum) which is unable to impart any form of skill set and results in the un-employability as well as the under employment of graduates, the same could however be said in other under developed nations. Central to any form of sustainable economic development is the vibrancy and the creativity of its citizens and their ability to leverage technology as a driver for liberation for poverty and under development.
With this in mind 21.Learn has decided to implement a platform that will serve as an enablement for learning twenty first century Technology skills that will allow for the application of technology to solve problems in Science, Engineering , Environment, Health care delivery, Law.
un-employability and skill acquisition differ globally and is even more pressing in under developed countries.
Central to any sustainable development is Education, as it lights up every stage of the journey to a better life; especially for the poor and the most vulnerable.
We seek to:
To provide an open platform that allows for the implementation of new solutions to Education and Un-employability challenges
provide opportunities for quality relevant Education and training regardless of gender, ethnicity and Educational needs that will build the skilled workforce capable of promoting a country from a low economic bracket to a higher one
Accessible to a vast number of youths who are largely represented by the poor in under-developed countries, is the poor quality of Education and skill acquisition tools that barely imparts any form of skill to her citizens; a key reason for the high un-employability figures, and under-employment. The need to embrace and put in place quality skill acquisition tools that are required to achieve sustainable growth, development and employability of youths cannot be over-emphasized. Lack of vision, sustainable funding, and the presence of systemic corruption hampers government initiatives to address the problem
To harness potentials in order to stimulate/facilitate social and economic progress by building a skilled workforce capable of promoting a country from a low economic bracket to a higher one, reduce poverty levels considerably, equip youths with the skills required to build the quality of life they desire .
