Immersive Media Education for Today's Experience Economy

The world is on the cusp of an Immersive Media Renaissance and Creative Feels is focused on mentoring the artists of the future in the best uses of immersive technologies. We believe, in the right hands, this medium has the power to create greater empathy, connection, and perspective worldwide .
Today the most powerful tools for content creation & global distribution ever created are more widely available than ever before. However, financially, these immersive technologies are out of reach for many artists just like the modern tools of today's classroom are out of reach for economically disadvantaged students. The potential that Immersive Media (VR/AR/360°) offers for exploration, connection, empathy and real change, all within the bounds of a shared virtual experience, is equal to that of Gutenberg's printing press. Funding our immersive creative projects will help us bridge the widening technology and knowledge gap for all creative students of the Arts.
Immersive Technology does 2 things:
PRESENCE: Generates an intense and convincing sense of what is generally described as Presence. Virtual landscapes, objects, and virtual characters seem to be there - a perception that is not so much a visual illusion as a gut feeling. It’s magical.
PRESENT: The second thing it does is more important. The technology forces you to be present - in a way flatscreens do not- so that you gain authentic experiences, as authentic as in real life. People remember VR experiences not as something they saw but as something that happened to them.
The mission of Creative Feels is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration across the creative arts in order to develop thought provoking ideas and perspectives amongst its members and students — fresh thinking that would otherwise not develop in isolation. We support artists, makers, and designers through innovative programming that encourages dialogue with students. The group then conceives and realizes immersive media based art and design, lifestyle, cultural, and community programming in Nashville. We do this through our brand "360°Nashville".
Select artists and classrooms by Nov. 1st. - Collaborate with classroom students and artists to create an immersive media project based around a local topic or issue.

By engaging students in the creative process of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and 360° media with the latest in immersive technologies we can all learn, grow, and benefit from data derived in the process. What's unique is our methods for guiding artists, organizations and companies in the financial opportunities available to those willing to not only embrace this technology but interested in enhancing the community with us in Nashville, TN.
With technology we aim to enhance reality not distract from it. For example, we've discovered a way to help an artist’s fans and their friends at home without becoming a distraction on their cell phone. We make the announcement the show is LIVE in 360° on the FB app under "360 Nashville". Then we suggest people tag themselves and share on their page now before the show begins. We then kindly suggest they wait until after the show to look at it again. We ask their help to create what we call a "cascade effect" to enhance awareness on social media.

"360° Nashville" is a project created by Creative Feels – focused on building a high-quality 360° virtual experience in our beloved city, Nashville, TN. After several months and millions of views we become Google Street View providers of 360°virtual tours for local businesses and organizations. We've recently begun to produce a Live 360° 4k broadcast of our show "Nashville Feels" on facebook.com/360Nashville and are actively seeking out marketing opportunities and sponsorships.
The technology is expensive. We've made that initial investment in the right tools for our collaborative projects with local artists & students, recognizing now was our time to get a headstart. The immersive technology market is only a few years and a few new devices/innovations away before reaching the peak of the adoption curve in the United States. This year Apple's ARkit for iOS11 will launch bringing immersive mobile experiences to millions iphone users who have missed out on the technology already introduced on phones by Google and Samsung.
