ultraware (AI)
Urgent care clinics, telemedicine and long-term care centers with elderly patients are areas of growth, industry observers note. Another big use is in places where even the 10-pound laptop ultrasounds are unwieldy.
Ultraware, a T-shirt with an image quality and AI-confirmation will give us greater accuracy and confidence by 24/7, reducing the need for additional testing and delays.
The Ultraware platform enables deep learning by using high-grade image quality, which is essential to train deep learning algorithms, because high-quality data ensures accurate results. Ultraware also reveals its AI calculations in a transparent manner to clinicians.
"For AI techniques to be useful, a data-rich image is required to avoid classic 'garbage-in, garbage-out' problems. For deep learning to be of actual value to medicine.
ultraware is particularly suited for the moment because its handheld probe and proprietary tablet can move quickly and easily through busy hospital wards. Its durable design makes it simple to disinfect. Its hospital-grade materials can withstand frequent disinfection with harsh cleaning chemicals, making ultraware not only an excellent imager of the torso but also a time-efficient tool in overwhelmed emergency rooms and ICUs that are desperate to shrink the infection footprint quickly.
Also it's easy and convenient to use, that patients can do their own scanning at home by ware the t-shirt in the future. This could accelerate treatment for people who tend to set aside their discomfort.
ultraware is an ultrasound-on-a-chip which retains the basic principle of usual ultrasound system, while incorporating two new key things. Firstly, it replaces the piezoelectric crystal in usual ultrasound system with micromachine that acts like a tiny drum to generate vibrations. This allows a rather wide range of clinical applications as instead of tuning the crystal at the time of manufacture to produce the right type of ultrasonic wave for imaging at a particular depth, the Butterfly iQ can be tuned for different clinical applications at any time.
Secondly, this ultrasound on-a-chip has integrated circuits in which its micromachines are attached directly to a semiconductor layer that contains all the necessary amplifiers, signal processors and so on. That having said, everything can be found on just a single chip – inside the probe in ultraware. This is very different from today’s ultrasound system with cables connecting each crystal to the computer that produces images.
Ultraware is safe and easy and convenient to use, as patients can scan at home with a T-shirt in the future. This can speed up treatment for people who tend to put their discomfort aside.
Ultraware is designed to be seamlessly spread from the abdominal circumference, featuring a lightweight t-shirt that's comfortable to hold. In addition, on-screen instructions, along with short videos, help nurses gain bladder size with just a few taps on the screen. The platform can work with low-power and power requirements for mobile phones and tablets, and mobile devices that have limitations on this type of analysis
The Ultraware AI aims to facilitate learning, while dramatically improving the confidence curves in Point of Care ultrasound for providers of all levels of expertise. The device is not only ideal for novice users, but it also caters to the superior users who require high-quality imaging to enable immediate clinical decision making at the point of care as the data transfer realy time by the internet The premium tools, those worn on the shirt, can see your entire upper body.
- Support the mental and emotional health of women throughout pregnancy and after childbirth
Ultrasound is used during pregnancy to check the baby's development, the presence of a multiple pregnancy and to help pick up any abnormalities.the advantages of the test are that it's non-invasive, painless and safe for both mother and unborn baby.
Health care workers skilled in emergency obstetric and newborn care are essential to prevent maternal deaths, but the majority do not get the education and training they need and most lack access to up-to-date, easy-to-understand job aids.
"Through the power of artificial intelligence, Ultraware will provide patients with unprecedented access to ultrasound when and where they need it most."
