PROBLEMS TO SOLVE

High rate of illiteracy amongst women in Africa ,Poor Nutrition diet of pregnant woman ,poor health facilities in Africa,Traditional birth attendants in Africa ,stigma towards modern family planning methods in Africa,lack of equipment to use in hospitals like incubators,gloves.,Failure of government to invest in science education in Africa ,political instabilities in Africa ,Diseases during pregnancy like malaria ,Drug abuse during pregnancy 

SOLUTIONS TO PROBLEMS 

African governments have to invest more in science education in order to produce quality health workers,Education of a girl child to prevent  early marriages ,Ecouraging pregnant mothers to go for hospital checkup ,Educating of pregnant mothers on ways to prevent diseases like malaria during pregnancy like sleeping under a treated mosquito net,Encouraging pregnant women to eat a nutritious diet during pregnancy in order to keep the foetus health ,Educating pregnant women the dangers of substance abuse

Problem 

Mortality in pregnant mothers and new borns in Africa ,this is the death of pregnant mothers and new borns

Maternal mortality rates vary from country to country. While the lifetime risk of dying from pregnancy-related complications is 1 in 4,700 in the industrialized world, the lifetime risk of an African woman dying from pregnancy related complications is 1 in 39.

 According to the latest estimates, over 800 women died each day from complications in pregnancy and childbirth, or over 290,000 and 7,000 newborn babies died every day. About a third died on the day they were born and nearly three quarters in the first week alone. Atleast 5.3 million under-five child deaths in 2018.

The factors responsible include 

1.Corruption of African governments like Uganda government 

2.High rate of ignorance amongst the people in Africa they believe in traditional medicine like eating clay

3.Lack of equipment in hospitals like incubators 

4,failure to go to hospitals for checkups

5.use of drugs like alcohol during pregnancy as away of making the baby Brown like Baganda in Uganda 

6.low levels of skilled health workers

7.High levels of poverty among the population 

it's about how to reduce the rate maternal and new born mortality ,which involves means taken to lower or prevent the death of pregnant mothers and their new born in Africa in order to save the lives of the mother and child

It works through implementation of majors that can help pregnant mothers and newborn have a chance to live in this world with favourable evironment for them

The technology used are television channels,radios,social media like face book and whatsapp,email and also charts to educate women in child bearing age plus the pregnant mothers 

The solution is targeting political leaders,cultural leaders,women in child bearing age ,pregnant mothers and fathers

Questionnaires will be issued to understand there needs

Proper examination of their health status

Teamwork to support them through difficult situations 

This will be made possible through engaging them in decision making 

my solution is allied to the problem because  pregnant mothers and newborns face a lot of problems which need to be addressed by the solution I provided above
