Predicament of Youth unemployment:Challenges & Solutions

Youth unemployment is a generation lost. Governments & international organizations should invest in vocational training & vocational education of youth. Corporates should provide internships & part time jobs to the recent graduates during slack employment periods.Governments should focus on the 1-2 years of youth military training.SMEs should be encouraged.
1) Provide Vocational Training
Youth unemployment is a generation lost. For catering the ever increasing population of youth globally ,governments should invest in vocational training & vocational education of youth.Vocational training will enhance the technical skills of youth.Through vocational training young men & women will learn technical & mechanical skill such as repairing automobiles,technicians & maintenance assistants .The skills learned can enable them to get further employment.Through vocation education youth can enter colleges & complete the relevant degree in shorter span of time.
2) Internship /Part time jobs with stipends
Corporates should analyse the requirements & demand of the employees.They should provide internship & part time jobs to the recent graduates which can be a supplement to the full time labor force on annual leaves,maternity leaves,sick leaves & slack period.Every organization have slack period.During those periods recent graduates can be provided with paid internships & part time jobs .
3) Military training for the unemployed
Governments should focus on the 1-2 years of non obligatory military training with stipends to the youth so that during unemployment seasons youth can focus sports,vigorous military training rather then engaging in drugs and other illegal activities.
4) SMEs & Subsidized Loans for SMEs
Governments should encourage SME(Small & medium enterprise) loans to the youth which can enable them to start own small scale business. Through SMEs youth can focus on utilizing the talents through self employments and hire further employees.SMEs are beneficial for the GDP & GNI of the countries as well.Governments should provided subsidized loans to youth for SMEs
5) Investment in Rural Areas
Governments should increase investment in rural areas where most of unemployment is specially in the South East Asia & Sub Saharan Africa.Women should be empowered.Skilled youth should be sent to the lesser developed regions to educate the deprived generations.
