This project is to gain an understanding of local/regional/national communities' health needs and their preparedness for a pandemic in advance. This will be the development of a simple app or website where individuals/families can input essential information to government agencies way in advance before the pandemic occurs. For instance, in the event a novel virus outbreak, government agencies can easily launch the app to their citizens that will capture real-time information. The app will include essential information like name, address, age, ailments, medications, and the number of supplies (like gloves, masks, food, water, ability to socially distance and quarantine for a period of time). The app will allow government agencies to adequately prepare for a pandemic in real-time by tracking, detecting and monitoring of disease symptoms pre, peri and post disease outbreak. Learning where the gaps are in communities will bring resources and services to save lives in Latin America/Caribbean.
