HaiTea-traders : from P-au-P streets to Postmates web API !
- 1. What is the main problem that we are committed to solving ? Poverty and Hunger ! As, according to Le Nouvelliste 2020-01-13 we have unfortunately in Haiti about 2,620,000 women that need every day humanitarian emergency help them feed theirselves and 2,093,000 children that would suffer very much without the presence of local and international NGOs here.
- 2. What is the solution you are proposing? etrade because self-employment via techno-entrepreneurship is the best solution to provide durable and decent employment for marginalized struggling people who know nothing about digital platforms revolution and billionaire startup !
- 3. How could your solution positively change the lives of people ? Digital entrepreneur revenues > Tealeaves streesellers daily revenues !
These women are struggling right now to buy food for their whole family (about 80% of Haitian don't work, according to USAID) they will receive at least U$ 15 for daily sales !
- - What is the scale of the problem in the communities you are working in ? According to United Nations Office to fight poverty (OCHA) there are more than 40% of the whole Haitian population need humanitarian organizations to survive : while there are right now Pierre, in Boston, asking his cousin Marie to bring oil castor (we name it lwilmasskristi) in....NEXT SUMMER : because she can travel in USA only once a year for economic reasons ! With our launching, Pierre will have not to wait for reducing in natural way his headache or healing his back pain !
- How many people are affected ? 4.6 Millions : and the worse is the fact this number is growing with chronic and political instability of our country, according to this Nouvelliste article https://lenouvelliste.com/article/211067/haiti-eradiquer-la-pauvrete-et-la-faim-a-lhorizon-2030-une-bataille-perdue-davance !
- What are the contributing factors to the problem that relate to your solution ? They are poor micro-entrepreneurs or don't have decent work, it's why they can't buy food for home but with our webApp that will conquer a huge niche of U$ billions in food mobile delivery, they will get thousands of buyers, like Pierre, who are waiting for this traditional Healing opportunity !
- - How are you working with them to understand their needs and participate in the solution? First of all : a) we already have used to work with marginalized segment of local population as Entrepreneurship Prof. for European Union projects when I was in charge for Haiti TEC Academic Center which hosts several projects for this international organization in Haiti. b)More, I'm e.commerce consultant for Zanmipre.com , a platform project for Sogebank that will allow smartphone and desktop users to compare and buy the cheapest drug for their parents !
- - How will the solution address their needs ?
- If women can't increase their daily revenues in Port-au-Prince : always they will have to count on International structure to help them. So we will offer, thanks to UPS weight forwarding Partnership, the opportunity to reach every day a BetoCe buyer or an institutional BetoBe consumer (clinics of naturopathy as Massachusetts is a state where have been. since three years, a Naturopathic Medicine Bill by the Governor Charlie Baker. )
Describe your solution and how it works. In your response, seek to answer the following questions:
- - What product or services are you providing to the population you are serving/working with?
- TechaHead is a Californian digital agency in charge of our e.commercial webApp codenamed HaiTea-traders allowing HaiTeatraders : a) thanks to UPS API, to bring the ordered ''tealeaves'' directly in their homes as UPS is in Port-au-Prince and Boston b) thanks to Western Union API. to pick up their money in any Western Union subsidiary or partner : b1) in Haiti b2) in any country of the world as we ambition to duplicate the future success of our ICT4-Development startup for other struggling women, in other lands !
- Increase opportunities for people - especially those traditionally left behind and most marginalized – to access digital and 21st century skills, meet employer demands, and access the jobs of today and tomorrow
- Support underserved people in fostering entrepreneurship and creating new technologies, businesses, and jobs

HaiteaTraders will be the pioneer ICT4-Development webApp addressing this question : how can we integrate millions of illiterate Haitians in the NetEconomy ?
Answer : we will get their subscription written thanks to a clerk that will be in charge to :
a) ask them their first and last name
b) to being able to open an etrade account in the webApp Platform.
We will be the first startup using the digital Platform business model for creating wealth for struggling and illiterate people in our country !
We have based our Theory of Change framework thanks to the World of Bank research* about the economic, material and immaterial impact of Caribbean Diaspora living in Western Countries directly (for example : 3.5 Billions of remittance from overseas Haitians to Alma Mater) and indirectly (they would encourage their ''western'' friends to visit their respective countries, eat autochton goods or food at home but, most importantly, chiefly help increase amount of money made by their respective country selling :
a) rum and agricultural produce (IT'S OUR CASE !)
b) condiments and ''seasonings'' (in our Haitian case, they would add confectionery because every year millions of dollars are made informally by the airport confectionery-sellers to parents before they enter American Airlines plane when they're looking for gift or ''present'' to bring to their wife, husband,daughter...)
But unfortunately United Nations or local Government never conduct research about how much U$ millions of ''tealeaves'' that American Airlines, Air France or Delta Airlines brought to USA : but from my personal experience when I fly to Brooklyn or Boynton : there are always Diasporic buyer looking for Alma Mater products

- 1. the current number of people you’re serving : 0
- 2. the number you’ll be serving in one year (12,000 : because new HaiTea webApp traders every month, that's our objective)
- 3. the number you’ll be serving in five years : 60,000 women pioneer e.traders in our country !
What are your goals within the next year ? Impacting directly 60,000 newest etraders lives that we will enter in U$ billions western-centered NetEconomy, first objective. But, don't gorget Haitea-traders use the same digital business model of ebay, Airbnb,Shopify so let's talk about second objective !
Our secret and secondary goal is to let immigrants item-buyers from all countries which have at least 100,000 citizens in USA to use our e,trade proposed solution : it's why we envisage to launch, 3 months after first success, a more international version of our app concept.
within the next five years ?
We will enter by next July a booming U$ 37 billions market. the mobile food delivery market with the best recommended strategy in this highly competitive market : Targeting an undeserved niche in Boston where live 330,000 Haitian and Haitiano-Americans for the first 3 months and the whole 2 Millions of Kreyol prospective consumers in the following states : New York, New Jersey, Georgia, Florida, California.
From the second year,we will think about the other Caribbean niches and by the 5th year we will eventually receive acquisitions offer from the GIANT leaders like Uber Eats, Door Dash... Postmates...
What are the barriers that currently exist for you to accomplish your goals for the next year ?
About 1st financial barrier : as we must have a social-network advertising budget to make sure all the Bostonian (first three months) and the whole Diasporic Haitian community in USA know that with their desktop, laptop and smartphone they didn't have to wait for Marie, Tamara or Pierre to drink their infusion from highly loved medicinal leaves !
About logistic barrier : UPS was interested to become our exclusive partner for an similar etrade project (for also-highly.asked local confectionery) and we convince them, we think we can do it again three years later !
About human-resource barrier : Shanal Aggarwal, from the Californian developer agency TechaHead, is our current webApp developer but after the 3.Months planed of coding, we must hire a developer living in Boston to take the lead once they will finish.
and for the next five years?
After the future successful start, we don't see barrier for our path to Unicorn because we have :
a) BetoCe buyers, 1st year
b) but also BetoBe buyers for 2nd,3rd,4th..., after 1st year because a lot of ND (or Natural Doctors : it's why we select to start in Massachusetts, a state that recognize naturopathy as medical science since three years with a Governor acceptance) will choose to order medicinal leaves as they know there are three best traditional medicines in the world : from China, India and from Haiti !
Overcome 1st financial barrier : thanks to the future U$ 100,000 prize and selling share of our startup
Overcome 2nd Logistic barrier : it's more easier because the UPS Platform provides API to allow partners develop and use applications solutions-based on their weight forwarding services !
Overcome 3rd human resource barrier : we will use Linkedin service
- I am planning to expand my solution to one or more of ServiceNow’s primary markets
Our secret objective is to become the leader of a niche in the booming U$ 37 billions USA mobile food and drink delivery as we ambition to become the first to specialize our-self in delivering ;
a) BetoCe medicinal leaves for millions of African and West Indies people that love to use infusions beverages in New York,Boston,Miami,....
b) BetoBe certified Naturopathic Doctors (or ND) in all states where the Naturopathy Act is already passed : and there were about 6,000 naturopathic doctors in USA (only 2018 data)

1) The number of full-time staff : 3
1.1 Ricardo Polycarpe, CEO, co-founder
1.2 Jeannot Geffrard, Chief Tradipractitioner Officer, co-founder
2) The number of part-time staff : 1
2.1 Billy Belizaire, App Development Consultant
3) 2) The number of contractors : 1 (TechaHead, Californian Developer Agency)
1. Ricardo Polycarpe, CEO 1.1 academic background 1.1.1 Bachelor in Business Administration (1995-2000 at Universite Quisqueya) 1.1.2 PM4Results-certified : thanks to an Inter-American Bank on line program through Edx (IDB6.3x MOOC : Gestion de projets de Developpement)
1.2 Successful experience with marginalized segments of population
1.2.1 Business Class Provider Volunteer at J/P HRO after 2010 Earthquake through February-July 2011 period : here is a proof

1.2.2 Moreover, I was in charge of teaching basics of Entrepreneurship for two European Union Helping-Youth projects which have been executed at Haiti Tech as I was also in charge of the entrepreneurial course of this academic center in the main Parc Indutriel that we have
1.2 Jeannot Geffrard, Chief Tradipractitioner Officer, co-founder : ''Frere Jeannot'', as we call him in the office, is certainly the most important part of this project because he is +25-years successful tradipractitioner and know the essence of traditional Haitian medicine and almost all the most popular of medicinal leaves : '' Ti bonm'', ''Derriere-dos'', ''Asorosi''
UPS Haiti (as we use the API to know exactly how much will cost the delivery for every BetoBe, a Bostonian Natural Doctor for his clinic, partner and BetoCe consumer, Pierre living since 1990 at Boston.
HaiTea executes a MultiSided Platform business platform : and we make revenues on almost every time there is a ''match'' (successful transaction or interaction between two members of different categories in the social-impact ecosystem that we have created)
1) When we won't make money
1.1 Every time a new HaiTeatrader gets an etrade (etrade means international e.commerce here : so not about Wall Street stocks) account, we don't charge her. Moreover, we will make it manually (thanks to a future clerk that we will hire if she can't do it as most of them don't know nothing about desktop, laptop or smartphone).
2) When we make money
2.1 HaiTea is a ''transactions social-impact Platform'', so we get revenues for every sales that the main beneficiaries (TeaLeaves-Sellers in this case) will make with :
2.1 (7.5% of the amount) BetoCe individual consumers, for example the Housewife in charge of the whole family buying, or the diasporic community members whose a very good percentage trust their childhood medicinal leaves more than conventional medicine
2.2 (9,5 % of the amount) BetoBe Natural Doctors or Naturopathic clinic Managers
As we already say it, we are a transactional Platform : so every time sales are made, we get revenues. And we don't plan to have loss-based expansion strategy as we will be the only platform to specialize itself in providing medicinal leaves for :
a) Individual consumers
b) Institutional clients : Natural-Doctors owning a state license, or the manager of his or her naturopathic clinic
c) Distributors : Organic market is a U$ billion industry every year and we will build a distribution channel through a push merchandising strategy
Postmates Massachusetts Chief Responsible meetings : it's very important if Service Now can help us meet this guys because :
a) it will increase their ''image positivity'' because they will participate in the helping of 12,000 TeaLeaves sellers quit poverty and hunger.
b) we want o have their authorization using their logo in the TeaLeaves package that we will deliver for BetoCe and BetoBe consumers !

Postmates because they invented a U$ 37 billions industry with their concept of mobile Delivery on-Demand : as we will invent the newest concept of etrade Delivery on-Demand so it's important that we meet the team to know the opportunities and the errors that they made when they were the pioneer & leaders of the next-big-thing on the Internet, it's the status that we ambition so far and we want to give more details through the future pitch !
