B-TEP: Boosterville Teen Entrepreneur Program
- Pre-Seed
B-TEP interns are brand ambassadors who introduce Boosterville's patent-pending technology into their school communities to modernize fundraising efforts.
Nonprofit supporters are empowered to Buy For Good™ from participating businesses to support their organization's programs, down to the individual student level.
High school students are introduced to entrepreneurship curricula, but seldom have a program to gain hands-on experience with real merchants in their local community. Through a competitive selection process, our Boosterville Foundation selects teams of high school seniors to be B-TEP members (Boosterville Teen Entrepreneur Program). B-TEP interns are brand ambassadors for Boosterville in their community, allowing our technology to be adopted in any location to support local merchants.
Boosterville's patent-pending technology enables cause-driven buyers to make purchases from merchants who share back a portion to charity. Boosterville replaces today's labor-intensive school fundraising model.
Research shows that 64% of people want to buy from merchants who give back. Our B-TEP interns work with community merchants to increase engagement and optimize their campaigns. B-TEP interns are selected from nominations from their high school principal, entrepreneurship teacher or coach through a competitive application process.
B-TEP interns will introduce technology into their communities which helps the economic vitality of their community by keeping purchases local. Interns will educate local merchants about the economic impact of participation, while easing any concerns about adoption from both the merchant and nonprofit organization's point of view.
Key metrics measured: merchants engaged, nonprofits served, money raised for charity. - 100 B-TEP teams will be launch nationwide.
Track engagement increase when challenge grant is available vs when only merchant contribution is available. - Matching/challenge grants will be awarded.

Our patent-pending technology enables a funder to donate a challenge grant into our platform which is then promoted to the local community by our B-TEP interns. Example: an alumna of a high school theater program can donate a $1000 challenge grant to Boosterville Foundation which is used to match merchant donations generated by local purchases made by supporters of the theater program. B-TEP interns enlist local merchants to participate, identify potential funders, and promote the platform to nonprofits in their community.
Boosterville's technology allows any merchant have the same capability for cause marketing similar to the "Amazon Smile" cause-based fundraising revenue driver. Independent merchants are frequently marginalized due to lack of resources or IT knowledge, so Boosterville helps them compete with national chains. Additionally, Boosterville raises funds for any school, so neighborhoods can "adopt a school" or make direct donations to support activities and programs within any organization.
Boosterville's app is free, and available in the iOS and Google Play app stores. It's free for nonprofits/schools to use the platform, and free for merchants to onboard as well. Boosterville keeps 5% of all revenue raised from direct donations or merchant contributions. There is a $0.50 transaction charge to the merchant.

We are a venture-funded tech startup, having received investment of $830,000 USD to build out our team and technology. We're seeking $1MM in 4Q17 to scale out our business. The B-TEP Internship program will be scaled out nationally to provide penetration into school districts where we might not otherwise have direct introductions.
Our technology is massively scalable and stable, but we need a faster path to merchant enrollment. Having a prize like this on our website would go a long way towards opening the doors to regional and national multi-unit businesses, which our B-TEP interns add the individual independent merchants.
Our goal is to create a nationwide network of merchants who give back.

We are looking for partners who understand the impact of cause marketing, both for the merchant and the nonprofit raising money. Through Boosterville's B-TEP internship program, we can bring the same sophisticated technology as the AmazonSmile to any independent merchant in the USA. We're very concerned about the "Amazon Effect" and want to empower merchants to start with a level playing field. We haven't found a nonprofit yet who has enough money, but they all need help with technology.
Visa powers our card-linked technology. We also have made a strategic investment in the National PTA to gain access to their 32,000 organizations across the USA.
