Ahmed El-Sharkasy (CEO) co-founded Knowledge Officer in 2016. He has been instrumental in developing the technology, growing the user base, along with delivering successful funding and stakeholder engagement activity.
Ahmed graduated from Alexandria University with a Degree in Computer and Systems engineering in 2012. Since then he has held a number of software and commercial roles including:
Senior Software Engineer and Product owner at Onfido.com (a biometric identification technology platform). Ahmed was the first full-time hire in the company and across 3.5 years and in this role, Ahmed helped the company in her growth phase from a few employees to 200 and from a pre-seed stage to a series C stage. He worked across different functions including engineering, product management and business partnerships and was able to ship multiple successful products to customers in the UK and US.
Ahmed Eshra (CTO) leads the technical team who have built the current learning platform. He has in-depth knowledge of heavy text analysis using Machine learning and NLP (TensorFlow, Neo4j, Spark, Rails). Eshra has a BSc and MSc from Alexandria University.
Prior to founding Knowledge Officer, Eshra was Senior Software Engineer and Researcher at a number of companies in Saudi Arabia, including NaviBees – an enterprise SDK helping indoor positioning systems inside one of the biggest buildings in the world.
