Issues 1: Lack of Qualified Teachers
- One in four of Myanmar’s 380,000 teachers lack formal qualifications and practical training

Issues 2: Quality of Education
- Education system does not support essentials skills for employment
- Literacy rate of youth and adult population Age 15-24 (70%), Age 15+ (47%) for low-income families (UNESCO)
Issues 3: Disabled Young People
- Two-thirds of disabled individuals did not have access to education
- More than 60 percent of deaf people never go to school, according to a national survey conducted by the government.

- Intensive Care Teaching Program (For teaching deaf students)
- In our community, the teachers played important roles and were role models in their communities and to the student. Teachers, therefore, have great potential to act as agents of change.

Above program will focus on developing foundational skills (Languages, ICT Literacy) along with competencies skills (Communication, Collaboration, Creativity).

- By accessing quality education, students from lower and lower-middle income families will gain essential skill sets for 21st century and also make a positive impact to the community
Daily active users in the community and track usage - During the first year, 12,000 teachers register online learning platform and join the learning community.
Track registration numbers and usage counts - Within 2 years, making an impact to have an estimate of 50,000 teachers join and actively attend online learning programs within 2 years.
Track discussion/feedback report on the progress - Within 3 years, have an estimate of 300,000 teachers join the learning community and share knowledge among the community on a weekly or monthly basis.

- The first to provide scholarship professional skills programs using blended online learning platform for community teachers
- We will be targeting teachers across the country who are teaching young learners from low-income families and offer scholarship programs
- For inclusion, Intensive Care Teaching Program to assist deaf students will be offered as a scholarship program
- Lab room will be provided (with computers, tablets, and mobile devices) for the teachers to experience and encourage the usage of ICT in learning and teaching
- By using the online learning platform, teachers will able to share their discussions/feedback, knowledge among the community
- Our platform is focusing on interactions, communications, and collaboration
- Teachers and learners will able to share knowledge and communicate using discussion boards among classmates
- Teachers and learners will able to communicate using chat features to drop questions for feedback
- Teachers can track the learner's learning process, participation and give grading
- Our lab room will be focusing on student and teacher development on ICT literacy skill sets and encourage e-learning for future
- Creating part-time job opportunities for educators, teachers and mentors
- Encouraging learners to learn via online for their professional skill development and also growing along with the learning community
- During the recent years, the mobile penetration in Myanmar has risen. 80% of the population in Myanmar (Burma) use mobile and is still growing which makes it easier to access education using mobile applications
- However, traditional learning (face-to-face education) is still dominant in the culture. So we came up with the most suitable solution, Blended Learning Platform

- Registration will be completely free with the ability to access available educational articles, attend complimentary online training and participate in discussion topics
