Operate a poultry farming management system with mobile App

Empower the socioeconomically disadvantaged youths to develop skills needed for a sustainable small/medium-size poultry farm, by providing training with access to technology and micro-credit.

Increase their production capacity to obtain/create long term meaningful income and access to market for their chickens while transforming poultry manure into biogas and organic fertilizer.

Henry comes from a generation of entrepreneurs. He always admired his parent’s ability to stay the course and impact people's lives. He started off serving in family businesses, spent 2 years at Afrika Business Group in Senegal which produces fish meal for animal feed, working as Manager, he felt confident to make a positive impact in the Poultry industry.

With his savings of about $7,000, Henry launched ETS HENRY ET FRERES, a poultry farming management system that solves the socioeconomic pains of small/medium scale farmers by providing quality animal feed. He has expertise in training new farmers as well as monitoring & evaluating farms for safety and business development. Recent assignments include serving as a senior expert facilitator in helping farmers gain certification through the Cameroon government for protection and compensation in the event of a bird flu outbreak.

His team manages farmers poultry, finances and provides access to market for their chickens and also provide access to education by people paying tuition and other school needs using farm inputs they use in animal feed. Henry is the recipient of the 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow (Young African Leaders Initiative) John Papajohn Entrepreneurial, University Of Iowa USA. We make pillows out of chicken’s feathers; use the money to run a credit scheme for these farmers where they also network with more than 1260 farmers in their database.

They want to transform poultry manure into biogas and organic fertilizers, ¾ of the biogas will be donated to the refugee displaced by the Boko Haram crisis and ¼ will be distributed among the farmers. The fertilizer will be supplied to grain farmers at breakeven prices and in return, cheaper cost and regular supply of these grains for feed thereby minimizing production cost while combating soil degradation and climate change.

In Cameroon, 90% of poultry farmers fall within the small/medium scale producers of chickens. 80% of these farmers make up 18000 women and youths without expert knowledge in poultry farming.

It's difficult to increase their production with quality inputs and access markets for their chickens thereby incurring losses. In addition, farmers find it difficult to secure micro-credit from banks to sustain their families, pay school fees for their children and health care when they fall sick. Farmer's pains are to gain certification with the Cameroon government for protection and compensation in the event of a Bird Flu outbreak

The United Nations (FAO) study found that in order to break the cycle of losses in the poultry industry, youths/women requires opportunities that are accessible, sustainable and create growth. These farmers have limited access to training, regular control of their farms and access to market.

We are working with people; we could even visit a farmer to help with installing the app in their device. We also track the number of downloads from the various app stores.  

A farmer using our app will have access to buy chicks, feed, vaccines and medication while seated. Manage the flock, cost and measure consumption. Easily connect with buyers to buy their entire flock.

95% of poultry farmers have smarts phones or device that supports our application and have access to internet.  All they need to do is to download it on their devices.

Poultry Farming management system is financially sustainable. All of our activities either create revenues for the business or reduce costs inventively. Our steady growth has come from bootstrapping. But now we wish to go into large scale industrialized activities of all our commodities.

To this effect, we plan to accept external donor funding and investments after we must have created well recognized brands for all products and services.

Modern slaughter and processing facility for chickens, we need a facility where any person can come and buy live chickens, process it in 5 mins maximum in good hygiene conditions.  

Develop our mobile application with best options to ease farmer’s pains.  

Increase our machines for feed production to satiate farmer’s demands  

Upgrade our training center with computers, tables and chairs. Get projectors for training, professional cameras to make videos of our farmers, it makes learning very simple.

Manufacture thousands of poultry equipment to give farmers on credit 2% interest.
