Global disposable plastic tax!
Plastic pollution is still growing out of control!
A serious problem for our home planet Earth, and no solution yet in sight! This is why we suggest the creation of a global tax to help curb the excessive consumption of single use plastics, with all the proceeds directed to recycling. Global disposable plastic tax!
The United Nations should create a global plastic tax, and direct local governments to follow suit, in order to reduce the excessive use that is severely damaging our nature.
These funds would exclusively cover the expensive plastic recycling costs, at global level, and would also promote the use of alternative ecologic packaging.
This problem is affecting the entire Earth populated surface and the oceans.
The amount of plastic being discarded worldwide is still growing completely out of control. Some governments are establishing bans on its use, but as this problem is running on a global level the practical effects of these local bans is small. This is why a global level action is a necessity.
The taxation of single-use plastic should reduce its use, and the funds obtained (other funds are welcome too) would be exclusively applied to implement the expensive plastic litter cleaning and recycling, at global level, and would also promote the use of alternative ecologic packagings.
One immediate e3ffect of this global tax will be the increase in the value of the plastic litter, encouraging local low-income populations to help collect and appropriately direct it to recycling.
Political action will be taken by the United Nations directing local governments to implement such collection and appropriate recycling destination. This step will avoid plastic being discarded into landfills or in the ocean.
Efficient industrial recycling will be available worldwide at local levels, with a regular flow of plastic litter to be processed.
Barriers will be created before the plastic litter reach the rivers, in a large-scale collection process too.
Other cleaning systems, if proven efficient, will also be applied to remove large quantities of plastic from everywhere, including oceans, rivers, lakes and even landfills.
- Reduce single-use plastics and waste through promoting consumer behavior change and incentivizing re-use and recycling
- Enable the public sector, especially municipalities, to pilot and implement new and innovative systems in their waste management
- Scale
By combining both a global political effort and local value-added recycling, a new positively firm approach is capable of solving a problem that so far has no solution.
This combined action at global and local levels may give a clean world to future generations.
A firm and coherent global UN decision on plastic pollution, linked to aligned actions by local governments is shurely the best way to really solve the plastic problem in our planet.

- - Environmental: This project is capable of cleaning the world out of single-use plastics.
- - Social: Adding value to the plastic litter will surely benefit low income people in all populated areas.
- - Economical: Adding value to the plastic litter will also create a new economic cycle with implications in several areas, including energy generation and recycling of plastics.
The goal in one year is to establish a fully scalable seed in key countries like Brazil, China and India, so that in five years the project achieve global implemented scale.
Firstly, a firm policy by the United Nations, creating a new tax.
Secondly, a firm directive to all governments to follow suit and really implement local coherent and orchestrated actions.
With the prestige of the SOLVE organization, the United Nations is more likely to approve this firm directive.
- I am planning to expand my solution to Latin America and the Caribbean
A global directive from the United Nations, being enforced in key countries like Brazil, China and India, will be readily followed suit by all smaller countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The concept is clear, action should be taken at global level, only the United Nations is capable this directive.
The best way to move the United Nations into this project is to involve key influencers like main politicians and artists in a campaign to achieve a UN firm directive.
Social media is to be used in order to convince key influencers of this first approach to uhe UN.
Global and local taxes will be directed exclusively to the scope of this project. Other volunteer funding is welcome too.
The plastic problem of the world needs to be addressed globally. The SOLVE organization can give a boost to the solution this worldwide out-of-control situation.
