e-commerce has experienced very rapid growth, and is expected to continue to increase. In addition, the development of ecommerce has also helped improve the economy of the community and indirectly each unit absorbs labor. This increase is very good, but it brings new problems for traditional traders.
Based on observations, the development of ecommerce also often makes offline shopping places closed because they are unable to compete resulting in the creation of new unemployment. When I visited traditional/Modern markets, I also asked and received many complaints about the expansion of online shopping sites.
For this reason, Sodaggar was created to help traditional/Modern traders compete again in the digital economy. Although there are already similar solutions, Sodaggar has advantages and is very easy to use because it adapts to their experiences while using the internet.
Sodagar can change the way of trading in Bangladesh without cutting off social interaction with buyers.
In Indonesia, the surprising rate of closure of modern market stores has been rocking over the past few years. It is expected to continue with a closing rate that is roughly the same as last year. in 2017 the entrepreneur has closed his store with an area of 102 million square store space. Then in 2018 businessmen have closed another 155 million square spaces. in 2019, the modern market has closed more than 5,300 stores and is expected to continue to increase. Fear arises from the traditional market which has decreased interest and has begun to be abandoned by buyers, as many as 14,000 traditional market units used by millions of people to trade are threatened to close. This problem can have an impact on the economy and people's welfare, creating new unemployment from people who previously had jobs.
Bangladesh has a GDP of USD 249 Billion with a staggering growth rate of 7.3 %. But traditional/modern market in Bangladesh it hasn't been shaken by global market changes. they need to realize that online is the main battleground for the future.
Sodaggar supports offline merchants in traditional/modern market. This project will not succeed if without the approach. Sodaggar works with an approach by launching community programs so we can know and can meet their needs. In addition, sodaggar will also provide access to educational programs and guidance.

Sodaggar is a fairly innovative solution compared to existing e-commerce. Sodaggar has the advantage of using blockchain technology that enables it to improve efficiency, opportunities and data.

Sodaggar, built based on my concern and the pain they experience. Sodaggar aims to create fair trade competition between new millennial generation sellers and old sellers in traditional / modern markets, both those who have online businesses and those who have not online their businesses at all. To achieve these goals, Sodaggar takes it by creating a solution through the existing technological ecosystem.

Especially in Bangladesh. As Sodaggar progresses in Indonesia, it is very important to achieve success with various support and collaboration from government agencies, institutions and companies in Bangladesh so Sodaggar also needs to open up space to work there and understand what is needed by the people of Bangladesh. - Financial : During the process, Sodaggar has spent a considerable amount of money to explore ideas and prototypes to test them. I hope to raise more money to fund Sodaggar so that it can be continued and developed.
- Technical : This ecommerce mobile app / website is like a common marketplace and has a live streaming feature to make it easier for merchants to conduct business sales activities with an easy-to-understand experience. however, so that Sodaggar's products and services have more value and are innovative, I put in place a blockchain technology that is relatively new and still needs to be handled by the right team to prepare it before it is embedded in the mobile app / website.
- Legal : Sodaggar can be said to be a beginner startup and has made it through the stages to the prototype. already getting ready to move on to the next stage. However, currently Sodaggar has not been registered as a company or organization, so it does not yet have official legality and can hamper incoming investment from investors who want to join. Sodaggar also worried that this obstacle could get other problems such as intellectual property rights.
- Cultural : trust and changing habits is a big challenge. many offline merchants will only use the application as a buyer rather than placing the product and actively developing it online.
- Market : In addition to creativity, the ability to build capacity such as business, economy and negotiation from local business people is still lacking.
- Financial : Previously I got a grant from my family at the beginning. At present, I am actively exploring grant and fundraising opportunities because Sodaggar products have enormous social benefits for many stakeholders and the community. In addition, I am also actively seeking support from local entrepreneurs and looking for opportunities to take part in local startup competitions that can accept projects at the prototype stage.
- Technical : For the time being, I plan to use the ethereum blockchain for Sodaggar and I still need to discuss this with the developer on ethereum. But I believe this technology is ready to develop.
- Legal : In Indonesia, our government supports all startup startups to experiment first and guarantees that legality can be resolved as quickly as possible within 1 day considering that our government is currently focusing on building a digital economy. So that if there is an incoming investment is not hampered.
- Cultural : I plan to hold regular meetings, approach and engage with traders to provide education and use the solutions and benefits they receive. I'm also planning to use influencer marketing to get more adoption.
- Market : Sodaggar plans to build collaboration with the government and other parties to jointly educate local traders in business, economics and negotiations. in this case the important role of the government is to encourage and support the community.

In 2016, the internet penetration rate was 13.2%, and the number of internet users was 21.39 million (internetlivestats, 2016). In 2017, the number increased triple times, the internet users raised to 80.43 million and the penetration rate was 48.4% (Internet w. s., 2018). According to Bangladesh telecommunication regulatory commission (BTRC), latest statistics (June 2018) shows that the number further increased to 87.79 million users and the penetration rate is 52.77% (BTRC, 2018).
Smartphone penetration is suggested to double in Bangladesh between 2017 and 2025 from 31% to 75% (GSMA, 2018), where millions of new internet users are being onboarded annually, almost all via smartphone
Bangladesh has been driving extraordinary progress for its people and economy. Economic prosperity rests on people's ability to create a better life, especially in the textile sector and I see so many traditional markets moving in Bangladesh. However, it is still not online. Bangladesh is a very exciting market for this reason.

Regular users can also upgrade their status to become Subscribed Users and get coins / tokens and other benefits, in contrast to regular users who do not have coins / tokens so users must routinely log in every day to collect them. these coins / tokens will be useful to access their needs.
- Priority Users : Same as the previous user, only Priority Users get more benefits than subscribed users. Priority users are users who are obtained directly with the help and support of the government and the company.
- Traditional / modern Market Traders (Sodaggar Customers): These users can use the Live Streaming sales feature or just display and benefit, which means greater visibility, more buyer traffic, more sales in their stores, improving self-quality, etc.
Above is the main focus that I need to launch first, in the future Sodaggar wants to focus on Industrial users that allow them to connect with traders and supply-chains. allows Industrial Users to get accurate (not prediction) demand data, cut costs and display goods for sale in large parties.
Sodaggar is designed to be used for free. If you know there is a charge for coins / tokens by users, Sodaggar does not make it a Sodaggar financial sustainability but rather is donated to health services, homelessness, disasters, creating new entrepreneurs with interest-free loans, etc. this is recorded in the blockchain and can be seen transparently. Sodaggar users, of course, realize and know this before deciding to buy. Besides that, even though they didn't do it, I plan to burn money because they might be able to get coins / tokens for free if they regularly enter the application.
however, I plan that this solution can continue to grow and be sustainable. So, I still need to increase Investment Capital and sell features like:
- Ads : which can display merchant ads on websites / mobile applications that can reach more customers.
- Premium Stores : Upgrade trusted stores with badges and access to premium features.
- Merchandise : Sell merchandise products Sodaggar brand such as Shopping Bags, Item Boxes, Plastics, Glasses, Tape, etc.
This is another financial sustainability plan for Sodaggar. After Sodaggar is able to serve the Industry, I will collect cost from industry and use coins / tokens that can be used to make supplychain documents recorded in the blockchain.
In Indonesia, Sodaggar still has room to grow by optimizing in terms of cooperation with bill payment services, flight services and others. This might be different in Bangladesh and I hope there is space like this in Bangladesh.
I applied because Bangladesh is the country with the largest population of internet users and continues to increase. Compared to Indonesian / Modern Traditional Markets where many units have closed their businesses, Bangladesh has traditional / modern markets that have not been affected by the emergence of ecommerce. So that it would be better to prepare them to face the future of the economy. In fact, before I applied for this challenge I looked for a market that almost had similarities with market culture in Indonesia. So from that, I want to be present and compete to get the resources offered to accelerate the journey of my solution.
