A Smart Secured Box for Exam Question Paper Distribution.

1. Question paper leakage is one of the most alarming issues of Bangladesh. Every year question paper leakage is happening. From the Primary Education Certificate exam to the BCS exam of Bangladesh, question paper leakage is occurring. Our goal is to prevent the question paper leakage.

2. To stop the question paper leakage, we will implement a smart secured box which will be used to distribute the question paper safely. This box will have a several layer of security like destination matching using GPS, getting location update with GSM, unauthorized entry tracking, RFID matching, fingerprint matching, motion detection within the box, IP camera for taking the picture of any intruder and LCD for giving the instructions of using the box.

3. This solution can give a very safe examination by which question paper leakage will be completely stopped. The box will ensure a standard examination than before. 

Education is the backbone of a nation. But the previous quote is true when the education and exam system is fair. The students from the PEC level to the BCS level are facing the problem of question paper leakage. It means a student age of 9/10 to a student age of 26/27 are facing this severe problem. A student faces this curse almost in his full education life. The guardians, the teachers of any institutions, the general people of the society all want to stop the question paper leakage during examination because they realize that if the incident cannot be stopped the education system will be ruined one day and its standard will also be decreased in future.

According to the Bangladesh Bureau of Education Information and Statistics (BANBEIS), there were about 36.88 million students in total in 2015. Now the number has increased. Since question paper leakage is happening almost in all examination, so it can be said that the number of affected people is above 36 million in Bangladesh.

Question paper leakage has become an epidemic in recent years. Consequence of question leakage is already visible in higher education and professional fields in recent years.  

We are working with the students of different grades and different students. We are also working with the teachers of different institutes of different places. We are doing a survey to know their demand and their wishes to stop the problem. We are also asking them according to their thinking about their desired solution and system which can contribute to stop the question paper leakage. We are providing some questionnaires to the students and the teachers to know about their opinion, thinking, and idea about a project which can stop the question paper leakage and we are also asking them to know their opinion about this project.

The solution will ensure a safer examination system than before which can prevent the question paper during distribution and no one can open the box until it reaches to its destination on exact date and time. If the question will be delivered within the box in future then there will be no fear of leaking the question paper before examination and the student will get a standard and safer examination which will be real and true judgement of a student.

We are providing a smart secured box which will be used to deliver the question paper from the printing press to the exact examination hall. This will be a smart IoT based prototype which will ensure a safer examination.

We are using Arduino Mega ATMEGA 2560 for controlling the all section of the prototype, RC522 RFID reader for matching the user ID, DS3231 ATC24C32 Memory Module for time and date matching, JM-101 fingerprint sensor for matching the fingerprint, PIR sensor for detecting the movement within the box, NEO-6M GPS module for tracking the location, SIM900 GSM GPRS shield to send the location as a text to the authorized phone, IP camera for taking the picture of an intruder.

The smart secured box will work in a manner that Arduino will control its all unit. When the box will be locked with the question paper and it will be sent for the examination hall, the box will continuously track the location of through GPS module and an automatic text will be sent to the authorized phone with the location as a text by which the updated location can be known in every 15 minutes. If any intruder wants to break the box then the box will send the location of the immediately to the authorized phone number and IP camera will take a picture of the intruder and will send to a verified email. PIR sensor will continuously detect the motion within the box. After reaching to a examination hall the box will match the destination with the desired destination by using the GPS module and this will be checked by using a virtual room of the server. If the destination will be matched then it will check the exact date and time and if the box will reach to the destination before the date and time then it will not ask for the RFID punch and fingerprint. When the date and time will be matched with the fixed date and time then it will ask for the user ID and if the user ID will be matched then it ill ask for the fingerprint and if the fingerprint will be matched then the box will unlock automatically. When the box will be unlocked safely a text will be sent to the authorized phone number immediately with the unlocking location by which the authority can check the exact location of the box.

The innovative side or the novelty of this solution is that, the box is a compact device within a reasonable price. The smart secured box will have a feature of destination matching and it is a novelty of the work. Time and date matching is also another novelty of the work. The box is a strong solution like a bank vault and it will give a strong security like a vault. Another main novelty of the work is its mobility. The secured can be move able from one place to another place. The secured box will give an automatic update of the location in every 15 minutes. The box can not be opened until the desired destination and time match. IP camera can send a video or image of any intruder to the verified email address immediately. All of the processes stated above will make the box compact, user friendly, reasonable and a feasible solution of preventing the question paper. 

Every year question paper leakage is happening in Bangladesh. Government has taken many steps to stop the question paper leakage but it could not be stopped. Government reduced the speed of the internet, restricted using the social media during examination, internet connection converted from 3G to 2G, closed the coaching centers, arrested many people and students, suspended many students and many more step have taken. After doing all these things the problem could not be stopped. Finally government realized that the technology can reduce or stop the problem. Since technology is spreading day by day so it is the best solution to stop any social or education problem which is spreading using technology. Technology can only stop the technology based crime. After doing all survey and observing the situation it can be said that there is no any technology based solution before which was used to stop the question paper leakage but this is the first initiative of Bangladesh which can stop the question paper leakage using technology.

The main goal of this project is to stop the question paper leakage in Bangladesh and to give a safe examination system to the people of Bangladesh by which no student will be worried about their examination and the standard of the examination, besides no one will get the question paper in their hand before the examination. Our goal for the next year is to provide the full project to at least two district of Bangladesh for using it during examination month to bear the question paper.

Our goal within the next five is to provide the smart secured box to each and every corner of Bangladesh for using the box during the month of examination. We hope that after five years no incident like question paper leakage will happen in this country. 

The barriers we are facing currently for accomplish our goals are financial and technical. Virtual room creation is a huge work to complete the project but to complete the virtual room creation we need a lot of money. We will need some engineers to for full time and some engineers for part time working. We have to provide a lot of money to make the system for the first time. Creating a server is very complicated and costly and it needs a huge time also. Financial support can help us to build the server and the virtual room for the first time. Without the financial support we can not build the project perfectly. A technical support is also needed for our project. Many of the modules which will be used in this project are not available in local market. Some of the modules are available but they are not working well because the seller of the local market do not keep the original equipment due to its cost. So to bring the modules from overseas we need a financial support to buy all the original and working equipment.

The first barrier is the virtual room creation and the server creation. The barrier can be overcome by the hard work and financial support. We have to work in a team with a combination of EEE students and CSE students to make the virtual room and server. We have EEE and CSE engineers in our team but if we get a financial support only then we can overcome the barrier. We will first buy the equipment from the overseas then we will start the work. The survey of this project was already done. A prototype with some of the mentioned feature has already been built. Now, we have to work only for the virtual room creation, perfect GPS tracking and a perfect output of the IP camera. Fingerprint matching, sending the text, RFID matching, intruder notification have already implemented in the prototype which has described in the video. After buying the original equipment, we will start working for combining them and virtual room creation. After doing all these things we can give a perfect solution of for preventing the exam question paper distribution.

Currently 18 members are working in our team. Among the members 8 are full time staff and 7 are part time members and 3 of them are for others work. Among the 8 members, 4 members are in management side and 4 are in technical side.

We have total number of 18 members. There are 9 EEE engineers in our team who have worked in many projects before. Some of them are award winner of many competitions. We have two university professors to guide the team properly. We have 4 CSE engineers who are very talented and active and one of them were the national finalist of the programming contest of Bangladesh and he was invited from NSI of Bangladesh to serve them. We have 3 others members who are proficient in mechanical design and one of them was attended many robotics competition in this country as well as in USA. The idea of the smart secured box for question paper distribution is only ours, so we can implement the best solution as a smart secured box to prevent the question paper leakage of Bangladesh.

We are not working with any organization right now because the idea of implementing a smart secured box is only ours. So we want to work for the box independently with our own team.

The business model can be used by anyone. First the main goal of this project is preventing the question paper leakage so any institution from any place can buy the smart secured box to deliver their question paper safely. Government can buy the box to provide the question paper in any types of public exam and in professional fields also. Since the box is easy to use so it can be owned by any of the bank or insurance company to deliver their money or any important things from one place to another place. Since the box will be available at a reasonable price so anyone can buy it for personal use like anyone can send their money, jewelry or any important documents from one place to another place. The box is sustainable and it is versatile because it can be used by anyone at any time for institutional and personal use also. 

To fund our work the first way to get a funding from the government or from a competition like this. We will try to make a fund from the government since it is a very sensitive issue of Bangladesh. After that we will make fund from donations and grants because many of the people can contribute to this nice project which will give them a safer examination system. We will raise a investment capital also if it is possible in future. Since our modelling is ready and few of the works have already been implemented, so if we get the funding we will start the remaining part of this project.

We are applying to the tiger challenge to get a fund to fulfill our goal about this project. The main barrier of this project is the financial barrier. We need a lot of money to implement the project successfully for the first time. If we get selected as the winner it will give the needed fund of our project. We have the project model, the idea is ours, we have worked on a few features of this project already but the remaining part could not be done because of the financial problem. Since the project idea is ours and we dreamed about a safer examination system of Bangladesh, so that we have already started working for this project. It was our dream to supply devices to each and every corner of Bangladesh. If we get selected for the winner then at first we will implement the remaining part then we will show it to the government and also to the banking institutions as well as general people. We believe in our idea and our dream, we hope that one day there will not be any single allegation against the examinations of Bangladesh and its standard and we are just a step behind to make our dream true.

If we get selected for the winner it will be possible for the Tiger challenge. If they would not organize such a competition then we could not dream about the winner as well as completing the remaining part of this project.
