Local Business Work Oppoertunities

Set up a forum where local youths can find jobs to improve basic work skills.

Set up an on-line forum where local retail and restaurant businesses could post available jobs for young workers. These jobs would help young people learn basic skills (timeliness, responsibility, interactive skills) that would help them as they move forward. It would also provide the youths with pay that they could apply toward school or other needs. It would be great if there was a spot on the forum where young workers and businesses could post their successes, suggestions, and ideas.

Young people are having difficulty finding entry-level jobs to build vital work skills and provide cash for school or other needs.

There is a natural connection between small businesses and the communities in which they operate. Young people want to work and learn and businesses need staff and are natural mentors. People want to work where they live. Everybody wins.
