Road Warden
In Bangladesh, there are high rates of road accidents and most of the time patients cannot reach the medical center because of heavy traffic jam in cities and shortage of transports, quality medical centers in countryside. Besides, people don't have proper access to healthcare in time, because of unpremeditated and mismanagement of medicare system.
Road Warden is aimed to provide "Fastest First Aid Medical Treatment" to the emergency patients or accident victims. We're making a network of MATS students and graduates who are qualified to treat and ambulance agencies. In our coverage area wherever there is any emergency patient or accident, they can contact us via our media and our nearest agent will reach there in no time with proper medical support by motor bike or two-three wheeler vehicles. Currently there is no such medicare service in Bangladesh. By this service, we can save peoples’ life at crucial moments.
Every year, Bangladesh faces 400 billion economic loss because of road accident and reduction of 2-3% of its GDP. Moreover, Dhaka has the highest traffic index of 297.76. This indicates, how hard it is to reach hospital in time at cities.
Last year, 7221 were killed and 15466 were injured by road accident in Bangladesh.
There are about 4000 ambulances in Bangladesh, of which 3000 are in Dhaka. Rest of the ambulances are carrying medical support throughout the country.
Despite last year's massive nationwide road safety movement, Bangladesh has continued to witness a large number of road accidents, fatalities reaching 4,580 in 2018(Aug – December).
Our main goal is to solve the problem of not getting proper treatment at the time due to traffic complication.
Our fast response solution can reduce the rate of road fatalities and injuries. Besides that, health care of rural people will be ensured. We bring Medicare support to your hands. At situations, where any other medicare support providers are unable to help you, at there, your life can be saved by us. Furthermore, by setting 3000+ medical points in the twelfth year, we can guarantee about 30000 full-time jobs and provide quality healthcare throughout Bangladesh.
Whenever a road accident occurs, the traffic jam in our country becomes even direr. It is almost impossible to take the patient to the medical center through this traffic jam, in which case the patient may be handicapped or killed if not given timely first aid.
On the other hand, thousands of people in rural areas are deprived of medical care due to lack of qualified doctors and medical centers. Wrong medical treatment, such as life-threatening to one, is enough to ruin his family financially
Health care is one of the basic needs of people. Proper health care at the right time can save a life, and it is desired by everyone. But in our country such an arrangement has not been made till now.
We, Road Warden are providing fastest emergency medical treatment and general healthcare services. Initially, our main goal is to ensure the fastest health care for emergency patients and patients with road accidents. So anyone in the society can take our services. We will establish an adequate number of medical centers in the area where our services are provided, from which the public receives 24/7 general healthcare and pharmacy services at indoors and outdoors.
We are providing fastest emergency medical treatment and general medicare services in those situations when it is difficult to reach a doctor. As there is not enough ambulance or proper vehicles to carry the patients to hospital, we are making the primary & emergency treatment available at their door.
In remote areas we are providing three wheeler vehicles with ambulance facilities and in urban areas (where traffic jam creates havoc to reach the patients) we are providing two-wheeler vehicles with emergency medical kits. Moreover in the residential areas, offices and institutions, we will supply service of general medical services like different tests such as blood sugar test, blood pressure check etc.
Our service procedure is easier and faster than the traditional madicare system. We will build a network of Medical Assistant Training School (MATS) graduates and ambulance drivers. The agents of our network will get emergency medical kits and they will stay in our medical centers or definite points.
We are developing GPS based mobile app which is medley capable of tracking the location of medical agents & ambulance drivers in real time, assessing the unique capabilities, mobility and equipment of the closest agents, and routing the most appropriate medics to any given emergency.
Customer can contact us using the mobile app or our hotline number. When a customer clicks the help button, our GPS system will track his location, send it to nearest agents. Moreover, people will be able to buy necessary medicines, take first aid treatments (especially in remote & rural area, as there are no availability of hospital) from our medical centers. Our medical centers will have qualified healthcare providers who will be ready to provide 24/7 services at indoors and outdoors. There will be at least one motor bike ambulance in every medical centers, and one three or four wheeler ambulance in per three medical centers.
In the beginning, we would rely more on part-time workers. But over time, we will expand our area of service as well as increase full-time staff, medical centers, healthcare facilities and ambulances etc.

An accident took away our friend's life, she could have been here with us if there was available primary treatment. We could not even get an ambulance to take her to hospital in time. Excessive bleeding stopped her life. Then we aimed to found an idea which can save peoples life in this kind of crisis.
We wanted to find a process which can connect the patients with the hospitals or nearest healthcare provider in the minimum time as the first 3 minutes are the most crucial. If the first aid treatment can be started within this time the damage can be reduced in a large rate even can save life. Besides there are a large number of MATS and general college students who remains unemployed. If we can train them, and make a network by which patient and medical assistants – ambulances can communicate frequently, then this can bring a revolutionary change in Medicare service along with solving unemployment problem.
Our idea can change the Medicare system of Bangladesh from a troublesome & time consuming one to smooth and faster mode. And after research and statistical analysis we can undoubtedly say developing country like Bangladesh needs this system of which can save life of millions.
There is no service in Bangladesh that will guarantee health care at the fastest time. Our plan is working on it. This model is a perfect fit for developing countries as well as South Asia
Road Warden is providing an online - offline healthcare system, which will connect people to the nearest healthcare provider, medical center, hospital and ambulance through the fastest time. Also, our primary goal is to ensure excellent healthcare for critical patients, and to ensure healthcare for those who are deprived of healthcare. By providing our services, shortages or mortality rates will be reduced for the immediate treatment of injured persons in various accidents within a short period of time, and ensures good health care in the area covered.
In medium term, we need a large number of healthcare providers to deliver our services from door to door. We will begin the training process by combining with public-private medical schools so NEET (Not Engaged in Education, Employment or Training) youths can learn and provide healthcare to peoples.
Within 12 years we can become an established healthcare company, which will have more than 3,000 health care centers across the country with 30,000 fulltime and a huge number of part time health care providers. In the long term we can increase the range of our healthcare services. Road warden can start a revolutionary social-medicare service with the help of technology, which can save life of millions. We can also make a great impact on solving unemployment problem, by creating a chance to employ young enthusiastic, caring, and qualified individual who are responsive to the needs of patients and their families whom we serve.

Our plan is conceptual we have worked with some part of the plan. Without developing a mobile app or online system, we manually contracted with 10 local pharmacies - healthcare centers and 25 MATS graduates. When patients contact our hotline numbers or local medical centers for services, our medical agents ensure their health care at the patients’ specified place.
In last two months:
We have served 913 patients, and managed ambulances for 67 patients.
Prediction about the 1st year:
Area: Noakhali
Total People in Coverage Area: 3,318,083
Total Patient Served/ Day (Estimated): 33 (1 in every 100,000)
Total Patient Served/Year: 12045
In the first year, for having low acknowledgement and popularity, we assume that 1 out of every 1 lakhs will be our customer. In that sense, after 1st year we will serve 12045 patients.
Prediction about the 5th year:
Area: Dhaka, Chittagong, Cumilla, Sylhet and Mymensingh Division
Total People in Coverage Area: 115935437
Total Patient Served/ Day (Estimated): 11593 (10 in 100,000)
Total Patient Served/Year: 4231445
By the end of fifth year, with an experienced team and moderate marketing policy we will hopefully able to serve in a wider range of area and population. As our assumption we can serve minimum 10 out of every 1 lakhs of the population. In that sense, in 5th year we will serve 4231445 patients.

By the 1st year we will complete the work of GPS based mobile application development and will make sure to reach the spot in minimum time possible. We have to make contract with local hospitals – pharmacies – ambulance agencies. We have to make proper marketing structure to increase our marketing values and spread our popularity.
After 5th year of establishment, we will develop a relationship with govt. and private MATS to build a young energetic and trained work force. Besides that we will be able to open our own training centers where college passed students can get training. And will build medical centers of our own which will remain open 24/7. And our network will expand to the big cities and serve patients by strategic marketing policy. We have to employ adequate personnel to gear up our company.
For the 1st Year:
Funding will be our main obstacle to our plan. Investors will hesitate to invest in us as we are a new organization.
Currently we do not have sufficient technical support, which will prevent our online process from running smoothly.
This is the first such service in Bangladesh. So spreading the service to people in the first year will be challenging. At the same time, it will take some time for us to gain trust of people.
Communication system of our country can also create a barrier for us.
besides those political instability and other circumstances may create barrier for us.
For next 5 Years:
We have to maintain a proper marketing process and make the communication bridge more easier. We have to maintain an adequate supply of medical support providers such MATS graduates, Medical centers, freelancer medical support providers. For this reason, we have to maintain proper financial module, relationship with MATS institutes.

To overcome the financial difficulties, we need investors, who are interested in social welfare business. We are hoping that you, TigerIT foundation can be of a great help to finance our project.
For making strong technological team, we have already discussed with university graduates (CSc, ICE).
We are currently consulting with many organization.

Moreover, we share a common dream-to improve the lives of youths just like ours by empowering them and save peoples’ life.
We've added a few business policies to provide fastest health care.
At an early stage, we will build a network similler by the model of "Uber" so that people can interact easily with medical service providers online and offline.
In the first phase, we will build a network of part-time or freelancer medical services providers. We will also have contact of local ambulance service providers and local health providers on our network. When any one wants our service, we will inform their closest agent. Then our agent will provide proper service.
Over time, our scope of service will increase, and we will appoint full-time healthcare providers.
We will start our own Medical Centers in accident prone, densely populated and destined places, where there will be medical care supporters. They will be ready for 24/7 with two – three – four wheelers ambulance.
The key consumers of our service are mainly the emergency patients who needs fastest treatment and other general patients. It has a great impact on present situation of Bangladesh where everyday people are meeting accidents. And the rural people are deprived of general Healthcare facilities.
We will provide the service by two or three wheeler vehicles with ambulance facilities via our hotline number or mobile app.
We need funds to start our activities in full swing, which will be available through investment and partnerships.
At first we will start by building network with freelancer medical service providers, ambulance agencies and own medical centers.
The money of the sales of medical care and medicine provided by the medical center will be directly added to our revenue. On the other hand, we will keep some service charges for setting up a freelancer medical service provider - ambulance and in-patient contact. As the network grows, we will increase our own medical points, full-time healthcare providers, ambulance & bike ambulance. Our full-time staff will have greater priority in providing patient care. They will always be at our medical center and whenever a patient calls for emergency services, he or she will leave immediately. The Regional Manager will be overseeing the entire work of networking, supply and payment, with his subordinate officers, employees and ICT team,
The main costs that we have at the beginning of our plan are the establishment of medical centers and their rent, modify bike ambulance and its maintenance, rent of office. Besides, it will cost a lot in the marketing sector and other sectors.Ambulance purchase and maintenance will cost with the expansion of these sectors over time.
Our main revenue source is from medical center service and sales, service provided by healthcare provider – ambulances and registration charge of those. At first, our profit would be very minimal, but over time it will increase at a compound rate.
Our Idea can bring a huge change but to ensure a better management we will need a help of organised platform.Besides we need technical and financial support to establish it.Tiger challenge can help us to establish our network more strongly by giving us strategic and operational support from professionals.
