SEALADDER is the self-education accreditation platform designed to help individuals advance their career. We offer goals-driven career guidance to the best content online and offline; track and measure all forms of learning experiences; and provide credibility to these experiences for employment purposes.
The value of education is the ability to leverage acquired knowledge and skills to gain employment. One of the greatest career Catch-22s in life is the Permission Paradox; professionals can’t get a job without experience but can’t get experience without a job. This phenomenon is especially frustrating for graduates and professionals entering a new career path.
Conventional education systems leave students with enormous debt and increasingly, inadequate skills to meet the changing demands of industry. With the rise in access to low-cost education online, current employment systems aren’t equipped to track, verify and analyse increasing volumes of data.
Academic research in the areas of goal setting, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, internal locus of control, gamification of learning, experiential learning, and access to a full learning pyramid have all played a part in shaping our solution.
SEALADDER divides careers into 10 levels and providing a holistic learning path including exposure, experience and credibility. We data mine what people have done to achieve their goals to provide recommendations to others with the same goals. By tracking their learning online, students can demonstrate verifiable evidence of their passions, initiative, curiosity and self-motivation - traits of which employers highly value.
SEALADDER can have a global impact benefiting disadvantaged students worldwide, particularly in countries where the cost of education is high or unavailable. By providing credibility to educational content that is low-cost, progressive and relevant to industry standards and their career goals, a level playing field emerges and the barrier to education in society is lessened. From an employment perspective, the availability of detailed insights into an individual’s career goals and the opportunity for industry and peer-to-peer comparisons minimises the biases inherent in existing recruitment processes and reduces the risk of hiring the wrong candidate, thereby increasing engagement and productivity.

Currently there are few direct competitors that verify aggregated data of all forms of online and offline educational activities. Whilst many online course providers offer nano-degrees focused on learning specific skills, our solution is unique in that we aggregate content from various providers and tailor these into bite-sized guides focused on achieving short and long term career goals.
By tracking an individual’s progress through the Experience API, we not only provide recognition of the full scope of learning; but in doing so, create an open platform for employers to assess candidates based on goals-driven learning rather than on past experience.
SEALADDER is a social lifelong-learning platform that helps individuals achieve self-actualisation by making it easy to track, measure and store all forms of learning experiences and achievements over time. The platform is designed to tailor learning recommendations for individuals as they continue to progress through all stages of their career.
The platform allows users to collaborate with their peers on the platform to work on projects and also receive continual feedback from industry mentors. Community reviews of educational content and the option for users to follow their industry heroes’ recommendations, aim to facilitate continual engagement and retention on the platform.
- SEALADDER is initially available as an online SAAS solution available in a browser on any desktop or mobile.
A native mobile solution will eventually be deployed.
SEALADDER’s base functionality will be free for everyone, with a modest subscription fee for more valuable features such as groups and mentoring

Our team are currently working as contractors or full-time while we build the MVP.
Our aim is to gain initial seed investment to progress the product through to our first full version. Building revenue, this will allow transition over to full-time staff and grow the team size.
