Every person needs at least 20-50 liters of safe & clean water a day to drink,cook and bathe.The world is facing a growing water crisis where half of the world's population is expected to be living in water-stressed areas by 2025.Today, over 2.5 billion people lack access to safe,clean drinking water.[1]
We are proposing Atmospheric Water Generator(AWG) Technology. It uses condensation process to turn humidity into potable water.The atmosphere contains an astounding 37.5 million billion gallons of water,in the vapor phase.[2]

Bangladesh has Relative Humidity(RH) between 35% and 74%,Temperature between 18ºc and 35ºc.Thus,Bangladesh has the optimum condition to produce large volumes of water from air. It's large coastal area is ideal for AWG.[3]

Bangladesh has a population of 160 million.But access to safe drinking water is still low at 34.6%.Despite progress,19.4 million people are still drinking water with a level of arsenic above national health standards.The presence of manganese,chloride and iron contamination also reduces the quality of drinking water.More than 41% of people drink water from sources with faecal contamination.A third of the drinking water has high counts of E.coli bacteria that confirmed the MICS survey.[6][7] People have been complaining for long against WASA,a water supplier to 20 million people in the capital,for its stinky, filthy water.BARC found water contains ‘coliform bacteria’,BSTI has no comments on the water supplied by Dhaka WASA.[8] It is reported that 86% of WASA’s drinking water comes from ground water.As a result,the ground water level is falling between 1-3 meters every year.[9]

- Approx. 43,000 people die each year from arsenic-related illnesses.
- Arsenic free tube-wells are not available in all villages.
- SDG Affairs said that Bangladesh has still a long way to access to clean water and sustainable sanitation by 2030.
- Excessive use of groundwater, now the ground water level is falling between 1-3 meters every year.
In summer, most of the major cities suffer from water crisis. Rivers around major cities have become polluted. In the case of ground-water resource, the presence of arsenic in ground-water is affecting the people of rural areas. More than 41% of people drink water from sources with faecal contamination.This rises to 61.7% at the point of consumption.[11]
Bangladesh is going to face severe water crisis within the next couple of decades due to random contamination of surface and ground water, absence of comprehensive water sharing with neighboring countries and mismanagement in preserving rain water. Today, rivers across the country are being filled up or being encroached upon in such a manner that is threatening the very existence of human habitation.Presently 86% of WASA’s drinking water comes from ground water. Besides, excessive use of ground water during the Boro season may have an adverse effect on the country’s drinking water, warned IFPRI.[12]
All of this is preventable through access to clean water. Now, many new technologies have sprung up that bring water to communities. So,we have to address the social constraints through communities‘Knowledge Attitude Practice’[13]towards life and livelihood and shape the all actions as mass-people oriented action through public participation.

Technical Characteristics:
The amount of Water Production will depend on Environmental Conditions and on the percentage of relative humidity. It is possible to produce from 50L up to 5000/10,000/20,000 liters of water a day by a unit or units and can be powered by any of them like - electricity, diesel generator, solar power, battery storage system or windmill's turbines generated power etc. For facilitating the production we can consider locally available power sources. This AW generator can be made fixed or movable. Power consumption to produce water will depend on what types of power sources will be used, Temperature and RH of that day. It will operate on 50hz or 60hz and either 220 – 240V (single phase) or 380 – 440V (3-phase). Main part of the generator is the compressor. Therefore, the lifespan of the generator will depend primarily on the maintenance of the compressor.

For cost minimization in Bangladesh aspect the solution offers both types of parts i.e, copper and aluminium made. For getting most safe and clean water using RO purifier, Carbon filter, food grade plastic or BPA-free PET bottle or container. Safety purpose using (Temperature & Humidity, Voltage-Current-Power, Water Level, Compressor Pressure) meter or sensors and will have Alarm system for any malfunctioning etc.
