In Bangladesh about 62,865,820 people lives in urban area but overwelmingly 100,180,341 people are living in rural area(according to worldometers,2019). A big part of them are deprived of internet access,and most of them don't know how to use internet in effective way. 

So, in this era of internet many of the online technology are not having great impact on Bangladesh economic prosperity. 

SELF is a platform where we will utilise internet and make possible to unite all women around Bangladesh through web . It is the first platform that will connect both a women with and without internet access.

In this web based platform, we will form effective team of Voulenteers, Specialists and Technical team. Any women from any corner of Bangladesh can have SELF membership.We willl connect a bridge between internet users and non users via this platform.Our team will work in field to ensure efficient service.

In a densely populated country like Bangladesh where 49.6% of the population are female (according to the World Bank collection of development indicators, 2019), most of them are still not aware of their contribution in the GDP of the country. Almost all of the underprivileged women are living in the ignorance of the use of internet, learn from it, earn something and ease their life by the use of internet in this modern age.

• In our country, usually in the rural area or any other underprivileged area most of the women are unemployed which is a great loss. Because a huge amount of sound people is unable to contribute something in the GDP of the country.
• Ignorance and illiteracy problem are vast among those people.
• The common problem of gender gap in our society.
• Violence, abuse and ill-treatment against women.
• Lack of confidence, social problems, depression.
• Some sorts of health problems.
• Working alone in an insecure, unsafe, risky way.

As we mentioned earlier, about half of the total population are women.
There is a crucial need for women to prosper the Bangladeshi economy,but most of our women are not aware of this. In this platform we will make sure to reach as many women as possible and inspire them to come forward and empower themselves and also upgrade their surroundings.
In this modern age,university or college students like us can easily use the internet in the most efficient way.But, the fact is that majority of our women don’t know the proper use of internet.There is a big gap in between. So, we are building this platform to develop the women who know the proper use of the internet, and most importantly, to decrease the gap between a women who have internet access with the women who don't.
It is a platform where all women around Bangladesh , all interested NGOs will be working unitedly, and work side by side for building a better future for women.

SELF is an interactive website which will work for the development and empowerment of the women of our country. It is a platform where a woman can share her problems, innovations, creative ideas with us. And we will guide them to reach their goal. It is a technological platform which will reach at their door, talk to them but will work on field, face to face together.The working procedure can be divided into these segments.

Registration:

Everyone can get free registration where they would be divided among some groups (e.g. technical expert, vocational trainer, doctor, trainee etc.). A unique feature is added where NGOs will be registered in order to get connected with more people. A question now comes to mind that how would we reach the non-internet users? We will start this work from a specific area. But any registered member of SELF (who have internet access) can inform us about her idea to do a social work through email, phone and after judging the info proper steps would be taken to accomplish that goal.

Services:

There are some facilities including some health campaign, seminar, conference with special supervisors and much more. Campaigns like blood donations, free check-up, free schooling for illiterate women.One to One counselling, Seminars for any sort of mental and health problems.

Sharing:

Share with us is a feature where one registered person or organization can share their ideas with us and tell us about their solution. And by confirming the information we will help or guide them to the solution according to the problem.

Teaching:

Underprivileged women usually suffers from unemployment problem. A vocational course in a subject for the interested women in a certain area can make them self-depended.

Employment Source:

An online marketing feature is added here for those and also for the vocational trainees who want to make money by their talent or creations. This will help a woman to become self-dependent by giving less effort.

Others:

Any types of inspirational news will be published, special events will be arranged to encourage women about their rights, give them confidence and help them rise at the top of her expectations.

Further Implementations:

We will be adding more features to this website and also improve our services to meet all kinds of needs of the users.

Web-based platform is becoming famous and trendy now-a-days.

In this modern age, we still fail to ensure proper using of internet.So, we cannot reach most of the needy people.A big portion of our country is going backwards or failing to keep pace with the outer world. To ensure this web-based work efficiently  SELF is a new platform.

SELF, not only focus the educated forwarding women comunity but also emphasise on the backwarded comunity to keep pace with advancing world.

There will be common features like online marketing, counseling, health care,SELF blog etc. To ensure sustainable workshops and seminars we will reach to root level, poor society where our service is mostly needed by forming SELF training team. And, any woman can take the chance .

Briefly, SELF platform will have most of the features that current women related developing websites or app have. In addtion,our new feature "share with us" we can ensure sustainability and connect underprivileged and make a wide network between women worldwide and ensure economic prosperity exponentially.

SELF Theory of Change:

• Our main focus is to serve both privileged and underprivileged women. here, forgetting one's caste and creed women will stand side by side. This will in future have a greater impact on social and economic prosperity.

• Our one-one training, counseling and other specialisation work will be more sustainable.

• A woman is a guide of future generation. A woman teaches her child ethics, morality other social important term. But,it is a matter of regret that, most of our women are living in rural areas and slums do not know how to raise their children physically and mentaly healthy.SELF will give the platform and help the future generation grow more noble and healthy.

• By selling different products on our online market, a woman can earn  and save extra penny for the future of her family and will become independent and empowered.

• In order to share successful women stories "SELF blog" feature is added. Here, any women can relate and get inspiration. This will help them to stay strong and get going whatever happen in their life.

As, our project is in the prototype stage. We are determined to work on SELF passionately .The scenario can be as good as we expected or can be the worst too. We have set all plans to build this platform strongly.

We are starting our SELF team champaign this month we are estimated to reach and serve about 500+ people meaningfully and directly within several months. As, it is the first test drive this number can be more or less than our estimate and expectation.

Within 1 year, if we manage to spread Bangladesh. It is estimated that we can reach and serve more than 200+ people per month exponentially .

Within 5 year, our plan is to spread through the Asian countries where SELF is demanded and SELF service is needed.

It is easier to reach many people through online. But, the crucial part is that how are we reaching them? Is SELF service is helping to better their lives in any way?

In Our vision 2020, we are targeting all Bangladeshi women. We, the SELF team, will do our best to ensure secure and sustainable services in every village, every  rural and urban area and every slums of Bangladesh.

After servicing our country women, we are planning to spread our service in Asian countries like(India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan etc.) within five years.

Some barriers we may face in the future:

Financial barriers: SELF will be a non-profiting organisation. So, most case we will face financial crisis. To maintain a big number of Volunteer and representative, for ensuring best service we need to hire or maintain Trainer and Specialisation team. To do field work, or provide workshop component we need a large amount of funding. As SELF team organiser are students, it is hard to maintain a big expense.

Technical barriers: As SELF is a web-based interactive platform. we need to Serve the best product to our consumer. There is a chance to have website bugged or problems in different situations.

Legal barriers: SELF will make the platform to support a women as many ways possible. If a woman face harassment we can give her one-one counseling and support her. but,if the problem turns into a serious issue we cannot fight for her most of the time.

Market barriers: SELF will have online market portal. where unemployed or employed women can make different hand craft things and sell But, in most cases, maintaining the product quality and proper price of market would be challenging.

To overcome financial barrier, we are planning to raise funds from different well known organisation.  

From the very start SELF core team is working and improving different website building problem. In future, for flexibility of this platform we are planning to hire new members on technical team. In addition we are testing it's flaws spontaneously and overcoming it.

We will make sure every product we are producing and selling are finest so that we can keep up with the market barriers and make SELF market pedestal strong and ensure most of the women earning by using their skill and creativity.

Full-time technical improvement team are currently working on website.

A large number of Volunteers will work in SELF team. We are targeting different schools,colleges,universities students to work as volunteer.They have the potential,passion to work in full strength for betterment of their society. A Trainer team: from our SELF registered members for training women different vocational training, hand crafts,self defence etc.to make women empowered and more. A Specialists team: including Dr,psychiatrist will serve one to one counseling and other purpose.A big network of SELF representatives team will maintain and oversee SELF service and its service quality.

In Bnagladesh even before a girl is born,her parents decide that she would be a doctor in future.They say"Engineering is not for girls.What service can they give people through technology anyways".It was the same in my case, although ,with my parents' support I got admitted into EEE department in CU.Since then,I kept thinking how could I serve people specially women with my knowledge,what will be the best way to do so? In this internet era,how can I help the girls who have fallen behind keep up with the ones that have already advanced forward with technology.After that I along with my friend came up with the idea of SELF. Since then we have been working on this passionately.

I was always passionate about internet and web related things. This platform is a good way to showcase my skills ,abilities .

This are the main core team. We have sub-devided other's team like: voulenteers , representatives, trainer, specialists. All of them are working for SELF in one pourpose- "Serving their nation,help women to participate in national economic prosperity" . So, this is why we are different and best to work with this situation. Here our motto is same and crystal clear.

We have already talked with some NGOs and women related organisasions in Chittagong division. They encouraged our idea and ensured to collaborate with SELF in future.

 We will launch our field work this month(20th September,2019), targetting some bacwarded slums in Chittagong, they seems very positive for giving full support in our different workshops and seminars. As, ultimately our goal is to better future of women and Bangladesh.

The vocational training is the main business sector where hundreds of unemployed women will be trained properly by experts. The products that they are making will be sold through online marketing. In this matter the women are finding a source of income, they are becoming human asset of this country which will definitely impact the total GDP of the country.

As, we will ensure the quality and authenticity of every product our customers will be benefitted too.

Despite of being a non-profit organization financial help is needed to organize some events where rent cost and revenues also included. Let’s say, we are arranging a primary teaching session where we have to provide the learners some books, pen, benches etc. This type of works (including vocational training) need a financial support where a budget is estimated earlier to work in a proper way.

The ways thatwe found out which can be a source of our income are-

• Donations and Grants: Like any charity foundation our website is working for the betterment of society so any upper-class or any people who would like to be involved with us as a financial supporter would be always invited.
• Online marketing: A small percentage of the price the products that are sold from this website will be cut off to spend it in the further arrangements of vocational training management.

We believe this can stabilize the condition of our expenses against revenue in running the organization and also can meet all the needs that we have expected.

SELF website is a non-profitable organization which will work for the development and empowerment of women throughout the country. So it needs donation and obviously an economical support at the very beginning.

Most importantly, Tiger IT will give us the platform by which we can easily serve, connect and spread in Bangladesh.

This funding will secure our financial, technical and information barriers.

Tiger IT is giving us a scope to meet these needs. Let us give you

• Fixed costs e.g. Trainee’s salary, office rent, web domain cost.
• Costs that can mostly considered are the vocational trainings need resources like machineries, other equipment, a good place to make this happen.
• Licenses costs.

We would like partner with some NGOs who are working for the same goal(women empowerment,security, health etc).To collaborate our work with them and spread this all over the country different NGOs can be a great help for us.

We would also like to work with Bangladesh govt. at the further level of this project.

In future, If SELF achieve there ambition we need the help of different international NGOs and foreign organizaitions.  

Finally ,in order to upgrading our Web platform. we would like to partner with different IT sectors to develop our platform.
