School of Mind Light

School of Mind Light is the concept of an online school for the people who are not like you or me but are differently capable to build their future secure if and only if they are provided special education and training. Sometime, those people need special help such as training, extra class, also software and apps for the purpose of their education and development. And we are here beside them to provide special  education where necessary, special training on ICT and how to use technology properly through online based service with a view to turn the differently capable persons to manpower.

According to a survey of World health Organization (WHO) 2011 in Bangladesh there are 15%  people who are differently capable . Another survey conducted by Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics [BBS.] “Bangladesh house hold income survey”  2016 said that there are around 9.07% people who are differently capable of total population in Bangladesh. Most of them are young persons and students who are unemployed because they don’t have proper training and proper education though it is mandatory for them. Without additional educational activity,  accessible materials and properly trained techer, their academic education won't be fulfiled. Sometime, it is a considered as a skills gap that create a collision between general  and differently capabled people.

If, it is not possible to ingage  them with the flow of development, it will be tough for Bangladesh to attain Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs). So, we are working to demand their needs.

We have some opportunities for those differently capable people in Dhaka . But it cannot capture all over the country .It can’t fulfill all the demand and it is not extended. Some persons who live in Dhaka get those opportunities but outside Dhaka those facilities cannot be reached because of scarce facilities.

For example,  the people who are blind, it is extremely difficult for him to go outside for attending special class and training. It is hazardous journey for him without supporting of another people.  Sometime, he feel unsafe  in the rumbustious environment. So, if it is possible for him to stay home and take special training and education through online, he really accept it and hold his dreams.

The era of digitalization is going on. E-Learning or Online educational platform are now part and percel of our life, but there is no spacialized  Online educational platform except School of Mind Light for the person with disabilities in Bangladesh.

We are commited to provide the following services for helping them:

1. Braille Learning course through online.

2. Sign language learning course through online.

3. Special ICT training.

4. Audio books and accessible E-books

5. Special tutorial on computers and advance technology.

6. Special subject wise live classes.

7. Development of special software and apps like document reader, screen reader and sign language translators etc.

8. Advance level ICT and IOT (Internet of things) training, freelancing courses for the person with differently capable.

9. E-book and content library for the persons with differently capable.

Finally, School of Mind Light believe that  Differently capable people are not a curse, they are a equal part of ecomonic growth of Bangladesh.

School of Mind Light is specially for the people with disabilities. We know that they are needed some special care to smooth their lives more easier and comfortable. But it is a matter of sorrow that they are mostly neglected most of the time. They expect some love and respect but we are not so kind to hold their hands. Some times, those people could not get job because we don't think, they have proper skills in particular area of job market. So, it violents their necessary rights. Now, it is the time,  person with disability people will grow with the power of education and proper skills.

School of Mind Light is going to build up a barrier free inclusive society. We are trying to remove skills gap among them and conducting them with the stream of lives. And we are the first online platform who use upgrading technology to change their lives from the root level.

Today is the era of globalization and smart technology that shape our life colorful, smooth and comfortable. Now, we can easily share our feelings and thought to the world. So, whe do the people with disabilities stay far behind?  Why don't they be the part of modern society?  Why do they face violence against job market? 
They have the rights to have a better job, to prove them and also have a dreams. So, This idea of online school is innovative and the 1st initiative in this sector in Bangladesh. By establishing this online school, it have already brought a revolutionary change in society. Than the person with differently capable will be starting skilled and empowered through this school. For this reason they will not be treated as a burden of society, they will be treated as human resource.

About 5 thousands people with disabilites who are regularly taking part of our online school.  They are mostly higher secondary leve and university students,  using our resource and materials. 
Our next one year target is to spread the number of students around 25000. And our next five years challenge is that we are engaging 10 lacks people who are various of disabilities will be benefited by using our special software and content not only in Bangladesh but also in the other countries all over the world.

Our first goal is to make easier to acquire the Institutional education through assistance of distance education programme. Providing the targeted people special ICT and computer skill development courses and turn them into human resource. 

Our next 5 years purpose will be transforming better impact on their lives. Our will arrange more activities, screen reader software, sign language full feature courses and both online and offline workshop,  live classes etc.

Our first and most important barrier is internet accessibility of remote area in Bangladesh. We have costly but not enough internet service on those area. 

Secondly,  funding is still a major problem. Our most of the software will be highly efficient for the people with disabilities.  

So, it will be costly to build and provide them. But we have to consider our audience, they are poor and not be able to pay the higher cost to buy their necessary softwares.
Finally,  we can say we are facing to get some technical support from the specialist, well trained trainer who have proper command and skills etc.

Barriers or problems will be problems when we think it is a problem. Every problem has a solution.  So we have also some way to cover that facts. Government of Bangladesh will working on sector of internet service  and activity.  We hope, people of remote area will be able to access internet more effectively next few years.
We will working to arrange more events,  workshop and on campus campaign to engage more people with us

Our core team members are 6 person and Volunteers are 10 person.     

Our are the best to provide the solution because we have been suffering the problems in heart. We are those people who have various kind of disabilities. We would like to do challenge towards the world and dream a better lives for the people with disabilities.
