AmarSource:Global Standard Technical Training Institute
The migrant workers of Bangladesh have been contributing immensely to the economy with a strong positive impact on growth, employment, foreign reserve and balance of payments. But the path of earning remittance is not smooth. Because most of the Bangladeshi migrants are unskilled. They do not have sufficient training and educational qualifications. They don’t get any training from the private and government recruiting agencies before departure. The government has established some new science and technological universities, polytechnics and vocational institutes for increasing the number of skilled and professional personnel. But still, the number is much smaller than the actual demand. Moreover, the quality of education of these institutes are not up to the mark in comparison with the institutes of other top manpower exporting countries.
Therefore, we are going to establish a Global standard technical training institute in Bangladesh that will provide technical, linguistic, cultural and safety training.
Wage discrimination: The wage problems faced by low-wage migrant workers in the middle east countries are wide-ranging and persistent. Workers are often in the dark about the terms and conditions upon which they are hired and compensated. We will try to train the workers for the self-development so that they will be aware of these kinds of issues.
Language barrier: A language barrier is the first challenge a majority of the immigrant population state as being their most disturbing reality. People with a background of a single language usually end up stranded in new countries because they can’t communicate and end up requiring the service of a translator, which is not always an affordable option. Our institute will provide basic language training that will help to communicate with their surroundings.
Employment: Although some people lack employment because of a lack of necessary skills, immigrants to new countries may fall short of a job because of their language barrier and the shock of new work culture. Before going out seeking employment, It must be ensured that a person has the necessary skill sets required for that particular field.

Objectives
Set up an international-standard plumbing/electrician/mason training institute in Bangladesh.
It will prepare Bangladeshi citizens for skilled jobs abroad, mostly in the middle east
Along with technical skills, it will also teach an introductory language and culture class
For this, we will need skilled trainers. If necessary, we will first get trainers from abroad, and also train our own trainers in some foreign countries.
This institute will also teach students Bangladeshi building and fire code so they build compliant buildings.
Duration of Training: 6 months
Impacts:
Achievement of SDG 1,4,8,9,10
Trained individuals have better employment opportunities than individuals from academic tertiary schools.
Trained individuals can possess the necessary technical skills in their specialization.
This institute must build entrepreneurial skills in individuals.
For students who have trouble with motivation and accountability, our training courses offer an excellent chance to develop these vital skills.
With a special qualification, someone is more likely to be able to start working sooner, giving him the experience he needs to back up what he is learning and you get to earn money at the same time.
And finally, our institute can enrich the GDP in an effective way.
- Increase opportunities for people - especially those traditionally left behind – to access digital and 21st century skills, meet employer demands, and access the jobs of today and tomorrow
- Upskill, reskill, or retrain workers in the industries most affected by technological transformations
- Education
- Technology
This concept is totally new in the context of Bangladesh.
This combination of technical knowledge and practice gives an individual a real head start into a foreign job.
All trainers, instructors, and colleagues will give the individuals all possible the support you need during your program. After the first half of your training program, everyone will sit an examination to assess what he/she has learned from this institution and how someone has been able to apply this knowledge at any company.
After the training period, Students receive work-related instruction in order to enhance their job training experience.
Work quality auditing of the trained workers after going abroad.
This assessment can be described with the following chart
- Rural Residents
- Very Poor
- Low-Income
Currently, we are serving about 50+ students all over Bangladesh
Our yearly plan for the next 1 year

Our plan for the next 5 years
With the increase of the trainee, we will try to establish some branches of the institution throughout the country.
Next one year goal: Within the next 12 months we will try to reach the people of Dhaka with our special aims of making people sound in their own technical field before sending them abroad. We will be focused on a few vocational training institute who covers most of the current technology and a good number of students of the city. Along with that we will manage to send some individuals abroad for making them good trainers.
Moreover, we will try to make some collaborative partnerships with the foreign companies so that we can train our people there.
Next 5 years goal:For the next two years we will run our Dhaka based training program and start to send the students abroad.
In the next two years we will try to establish some branches of the institute in Jessore, Chittagong, Khulna and Rajshahi and continue our training program.
Through all of these years we will continue our campaigning through different events and sponsorship.
Most of the time people get confused it with the only vocational training courses. But It is totally different from the vocational training. Here we make our manpower self confident and skilled that match for their own goal.
Sometimes people think there may be a relationship with the brokery due to lack of knowledge. But this institute is only for empowering the country people.
We are in the shortage of funds for running our institution. Moreover little knowledge for marketing and expansion also making our job difficult.
Brokers may try to enter our network and exploit our policy for their own interest.
Proper campaigning, advertisements, networking and channeling may help to make people understand about our activities properly.
We will try to make people understand about our purpose and its outcome in the orientation class for the clarification.
We are trying to collect funds and we have already got 10,000 USD as angel investment. We will also raise money from Venture Capitalists to get break-even point.
Our policies will be well protected from broker involvement.

The migrated skilled workers in 2018 were 43.25%.16% of the migrant workers fall under the semi-skilled category, 39% of the workers fall under the less skilled category.0.36% of the migrants belong to professional and 1.8% to other categories.
The wage difference between the skilled and unskilled migrant workers from other countries and Bangladesh varies within 10%-300% depending on the countries.

Our assumption is to send 100 skilled workers/per country every year(0.15% of the total sent worker). Bangladesh received $7.08 billion in remittances last year(2018) from the Middle East countries. If we can increase the flow only 2% it will be $141 million/per year.
