Restoring Social Values for Better Living
Increasing and accelerating socioeconomic and technological changes in recent years have brought alone some social problem since value could not be transferred to the new generations adequately in many societies. These values are normally taught to us by our seniors and handed down by words to our future generations,Bangladesh facing this problem in a number of ways.Per se, social violence/intolerance may be two basic and/or broad examples to start with. It's understood that most people in act of these negative practices/cultures tend usually to lack sufficient exposure to social norms/values. Teaching values therefore is one of the key drivers for social control mechanism.
The solution : a platform/institute for informal education on social values.
Functionality : designed to direct influence over society and its people
Mission : conveying and facilitating the importance of practicing values, ethics, norms
Vision : to bring about better living conditions via social and/or professional engagement.
A number of social incidents from both the country's history and present day suggest that a "significant portion" of the population lack the effort towards acting on their existing/non-existing knowledge about social values/norms/ethics/cultures/practices.
By "significant portion" meaning, for ex:local workforce and manpower resources.Broadly speaking, this set of people are such whose acts may directly/indirectly affect our daily lives.
This population portion also includes formally educated people and/or professionals too)
Initially, plan on piloting with a niche audience profile: the on-field actors of "transportation sector".The contributing factors may be :
-It is one of the most organized public sectors to work with, as for being under government’s direct supervision and regulations-meaning higher probabilities of positive impacts.
-In recent years, the country has seen frequent incidents/situations which raised the need for a solution to these unfavorable occurrences the society and people were having to undergo and experience.
Insecurity, poor services, inhuman and reckless attitude would only make an average citizen paranoid.
-Mentioned situations have proved that it’s a prime area to study or research upon, for which we must dive deep into as many factors or determinants we can address in context to this agenda.
Although, education does not always mean assurance towards social values , but giving those without education a chance to learn about social values can help build their character.
e.g. Drivers working in the transport sector , can get be taught values regarding reckless driving, value of people's lives, traffic safety, pedestrian safety, etc.
Bus company owners can be taught to have all buses in good condition and so on.
All these types of training are normally taught but due to lack of social values people give less heed to these small things.
We can call this program as values crisis management program. The basic solution of this program is to get easy access to the social values related educational program. A good person always ensure a better, secure and livable society. Which is actually the part of the social control mechanism. This value transfer process may help them to develop their professional field and perhaps they can achieve job security and better income opportunities.
Services & Methodology:
1. Online knowledge based platform
2. Physical participation based platform
-Creating online platform and content publishing can be the first step for the institute. At this stage we should also concentrate to create a core team. The member of the core team should be selected from different backgrounds or expertise. The major objective of the core team is to design several programs to run the institute
2. The core team must understand the local context and local values to design it more lightly so that any one can easily adapt to it. It should always be joyful and based on participation.
3. On the digital platform one can easily sign up and build up his/her profile? Where they can enrich their profile by taking different types of online courses. All contents will have free access.
4. People can register for different types of programs like workshops, seminars and other programs which will be operated for different periods of time. The shortest workshop should be for day long workshop. Physical engagement and participation is mandatory. Every event carries a certain amount of social value points which will reflect on your profile according to your participation. We will try to ensure that all programs are multi-disciplinary and participation based.
The way forward:
1.As we mentioned before, we have chosen on a particular area to start our work which is the transportation sector. So the mission will be to engage different stakeholders to participate in our programs.
2.Contacting different private and public organizations to work with us as collaboration. BRTA, ride sharing companies, roads/travel related brands may be good examples of companies to think of.

Brand new approach: focusing attention towards the roots of the problem rather than directly brainstorming about direct, quick, shortcut solutions
Strength of the solution :
-It is one of the most organized public sectors to work with, as for being under government’s direct supervision and regulations-meaning higher probabilities of positive impacts.
Evidence of the need for such a solution:
-In recent years, the country has seen frequent incidents/situations which raised the need for a solution to these unfavorable occurrences the society and people were having to undergo and experience.
Insecurity, poor services, inhuman and reckless attitude would only make an average citizen paranoid.

-Since our understanding/social incidents/implications suggest that it’s a prime area to study or research upon, the goal should be to dive deep into as many factors or determinants we can address in context to this agenda.
So to start with, if the pilot project tends to derive favorable results,we can hope to expand and move towards other areas to work with, which may be involved in bringing about better/safer living conditions.
Cultural barriers: an individual's judgement about the need of exposure to such values, in accordance to his/her level of understanding
Creating awareness with the usage of marketing tools to influence and ultimately create engagement in the later stage.

This is an informal educational institute/ center/ platform. We always believe that access to education should be free of cost. If we consider it in that perspective it should be a non profit organization. To operate this program we must look for different types of funds, sponsors and donations from both local and international sector.
But local govt. could be one of the best options to collaborate. So we are promoting this organization as a private-public partnership project
Given this pitch can earn access to the final investment funding, that investment will be the gateway for designing the programs, establishing the institute, engaging experts, and a portion for creating the beta version of the website landing page for free access to the value transfer process.
Since we are considering this as a public/pvt organization, the common revenue model will be a combination of: raising investment capital, govt grants, donation funds, sponsorships
Tiger Challenge is a socially accepted platform which is capable of providing the legit answer to whether the submitted idea/solution is realistic, feasible and capable enough to earn the opportunity of accessing investment funding for running pilot projects/executions.
