Democratic transport system to save life

 Road accident in Bangladesh is increasing despite various measures are being taken place. Bus accident contributes the highest. 

My solution is to establish peoples empowerment over the whole transport system. I want to make an online platform to connect the drivers, bus owners & passengers . By which the passengers will be able to see the drivers personal details, their licence number, their track record, and the previous review. Passenger will be able to choose their drivers. Drivers could share their problems with passengers & Passengers could put pressure on the bus owners regarding the rightful issues.  

I believe a platform like this will help to increase positive competition,  cooperation, passengers empowerment, accountability and ensure justification to ease tension, finding specific problem & surveillance over the system. Identifying the wrongdoers will be much easier than ever.   

At least 7,221 people have died in road accidents in 2018, a further 15,446 people were injured in a total of 5,514 road crashes throughout the year, according to a report by the Bangladesh Passenger Welfare Organisation. Despite numerous measures at 2018, road accidents is almost 7% higher than that of 2017.  Most of the deaths occurred due to bus accident & drivers are the main perpetrators.  The estimated economic loss from these accidents reaches Tk 40,000 crore annually, which is 2% to 3% of Bangladesh’s GDP. Majority of the fetal accidents are occur in highways. And every people in the country are at risk of being the victim of road accident. The risk goes higher during long holidays and festivals. 

Reckless driving , Unskilled drivers, Distracted & sleepy drivers , Tendency to overtake, Unfit vehicles, Overloaded vehicles, Gross violations of traffic rules, Force driving by car owners, Driver change, all these major problem could be addressed and direct pressure be put upon the responsible people will be possible. Every parties will get chance to find their lacking & improve themselves. Moreover the passengers will be able to choose  their priorities & peoples conscience could reign over the issue.  

I have to work with all three parties , the drivers, vehicle owners and passengers regarding the issues and understand their needs to put it into the online system.

My product is an online system to connect passengers with drivers and transport owners.

Three parties are there -

1) Transport owners : We will talk the transport owner regarding the issue as they will get many benefit from the online system. Like, 

-they will understand their passengers demand and do accordingly to improve their business.

- Could be able to track their valuable vehicles.

-Put surveillance over the drivers & passengers activities. And many others.

- Manage drives & vehicles schedule (in long run)

2) Drivers: Drivers will be benefactors in many ways-

- Share their problems with passengers and vehicle owners & that's how ease tension.

- Understand the passengers demand and rectify accordingly.

- Build a good relationship with passengers.

- Participate into a positive competition.

- Feel the responsibilities

3) Passengers: The passengers could get the most advantage over the service. They never knew to whom they are putting their life on.

- Choose from their priorities over the drivers and the vehicles.

- Track the drivers and their activities and give suggestions.

-Actively participate over the transport issue.

- Book their ticket online.

- Relatives could track each others at journey.

 I will use a online software that will be feasible to use by all three parties and only the relevant information will be used to put in without any hassle
