It's an initiative to make each illiterate person (elderly) as literate and to show dream to the students (High School & College).

1. 27.24% people are illiterate in Bangladesh (UNESCO Bangladesh, 2016). This rate is very high in the rural areas (45-50%). We take an initiative to reduce this problem.

Also the students of the rural areas are not concern about their future. There is none to show them a dream that they can study in a good university or make a bright future and do something for the betterment of the country.

2. We will try to gather the illiterate persons of a village and will teach the alphabet. It will be 4-6 months long program via evening classes.

Secondly, We will go to the rural schools to take a motivational session and making them aware about their future.

3. It will bring a very positive change in the life of the people after participating in this program. Illiterate people will be able to read and write Bangla sentences and the students will be more concern about their future.

What is the problem you are solving?

As stated earlier 27.24% people are illiterate in Bangladesh (UNESCO Bangladesh, 2016). This rate is very high in the rural areas (45-50%).

Each illiterate person and the students will be benefited if they participate in this program. But the problem is elder persons do not want to participate as they are busy with their works or feel awkward. But we will go door to door to manage them.

For the motivational session, we have to take permission from the head of the institute. It's not a very hard task as our intension is good.

Who are you serving?

(1) Now it's an era of technology. So it becomes mandatory to have letter knowledge. For having this lack of knowledge many people of my country are not concern about technology. So we will go door to door to convince them to participate in this program. Besides giving the alphabetical knowledge, will we make awareness about their rights and duties and also about the importance of health care.

(2) Since the rural students could not get enough opportunities like the urban students .Our 2nd initiative is to show dream to the rural students that they can go a long way. For this purpose we will go to the schools and will take a 1-2 hours motivational session.

What is your solution?

We will provide the study materials (e.g. book, pen, pencil, pad, flip card etc). Two teaching assistants/facilitators per batch will help to learn alphabet along with reading and writing small sentences.

And for the younger students, we will motivate them by giving lecture, showing motivational videos and quotes using projectors.
