PHPMAP (Public Health and Pollution Monitoring and Awareness Platform)

1.People are suffering in various diseases due to lac of clean water , improved sanitation and proper hygiene practices.Various degradable and non degradable wastes are daily being disposed by unaware people to the nature that goes to river and ocean and deteriorating ocean eco-system.

2. This is a digitalised platform where the real time situation of WASH (Water supply, Sanitation and Hygiene ), waste management and pollution will be monitored and forwarded to the concerned authority to be taken care of immediately. This PHPMAP will also provide a tool to broadcast all awareness messages to the mass people.

3. This PHPMAP will collect and disseminates informations to improve the living environment by reducing the pollutions, elimination water born diseases. The real time awareness will make people concerned about natural ecosystem which will ensure quality living.

What is the problem you are solving?

People are suffering in various diseases due to lac of clean water , improved sanitation and proper hygiene practices.Various degradable and non degradable wastes are daily being disposed by unaware people to the nature that goes to river and ocean and deteriorating ocean eco-system.

Most often the city authority does not know about the polluter and the time of pollution.

In Bangladesh lack of proper information and awareness of mass people along with the authority make the worse WASH situations . Recent report by World Bank Group reveals that 41% of the water source contaminated with E.coli and 13 % contaminated with Arsenic. Unaware people drink water without knowing water quality parameters, Ultimately got sick and even die in some cases.

A total of 50.8 million people still used shared sanitation facilities , only 28% people have hand-washing facilities.

The new SDG Goal-6 challenges Bangladesh to provide access to safe and affordable wash services.

Who are you serving?

- How are you working with them to understand their needs and participate in the solution?

PHPMAP will works in various level , in different schools the students does not have sufficient knowledge about WASH and environmental pollutions.

In High School level students lacking MHM (Ministerial Hygiene Management ) facilities will be educated and benefited from this platform.

City dwellers can spontaneously send any pollutions reports to the authority through PHPMAP to eradicate them.

PHPMAP will work mainly in three different aspects

Firstly , The WASH ( Water Supply Sanitation & Hygiene ) and Cleanliness module will work in Primary School Level, High School Level, College Level, University Level , Various Government, Autonomous institute, organisations and even for every household level . From each of the level the information about sanitation, water supply , water quality, hygiene , menstrual hygiene system and cleanliness will be send to the appropriate monitoring group or government bodies . Those real time informations will then be stored in the database to make a monthly ranking in terms of WASH & Cleanliness situations. In some cases the best performers will be awarded to encourage other people and make positive social hype in terms of WASH and cleanliness situations.

Secondly Waste Management module will work in various level such as city corporation level, Pourashava (Municipality ) Level, Union Parishod Level or even in the rural levels. From each of the level the real time information about solid waste (Plastic waste, Paper waste, Tin or metals and Ceramics & glass) waste water , kitchen waste and hazardous waste and their management situations will be send to the appropriate monitoring group or government bodies. Competent authority will then can take necessary steps and provide waste management solutions to them. hose real time informations will then be stored in the database to make a monthly/ quarterly/ yearly ranking and mapping in terms of waste and waste management situations. In some cases the best performers will be awarded o encourage other people and make positive social hype in terms of waste management and environmental concern.

Thirdly pollution monitoring module of PHPMAP will work in six different levels (i. e municipality , growth center , etc...). From each of the level the real time information about pollution will be send to the appropriate monitoring group or government bodies. Competent authority will then can take necessary steps and to address pollutions provide solutions to them. Those real time informations will then be stored in the database to make a monthly/ quarterly/ yearly ranking and mapping in terms of pollutions control and mechanism situations. In some cases the best performers will be awarded o encourage other people and make positive social hype in terms of waste management and environmental concern.
