Since many youth are connected on social medial platforms we shall be using drama and artistic arts videos which provide educative information about how alcohol affected the organs and the wellbeing of a person.

Did you know that alcohol related diseases contribute 67% of deaths in Uganda every year? And 64% of youth living in Kampala have confessed having unsafe sex with the friends after getting drunk which led them to have HIV positive according to the Ugandan Youth Development Link (UYDL)! And according to the WHO (world health organization) 2015 Uganda has the highest level of pure alcohol consumption of 23.7 liters per capital every year and Alcohol liver cirrhosis contributes 68.7 % of deaths every year including Cancers, Strokes and liver diseases.
Due to customer discovery interviews conduct in Kampala collages as our selected beach head market,150 interviews were conducted and most of students who were interviewed had alcohol related problems and 80% had tried to stop drinking alcohol but failed due to lack of support. This motivates me to toward my vision, And so far we have started using technology to conduct online sensitization on our Facebook page and we opened up a whats-app line where youths have started calling and get counseling’s on to stop drinking alcohol, as well as referring them to the nearest hospital for liver checkup.
At the end of in the end of 2017 we expect having reached out at least 50000 youths in Uganda and having sensitized them about the dangers of alcohol. We also expect at least 40 calls every day Youths asking questions on how to stop drinking alcohol .And having started developing a mobile liver checkup and our mobile app. We are targeting Youths from 14 to 35 years old in Uganda who drink alcohol and who are exposed to the risks of developing diseases due alcohol consumption. Our channels are social media platforms, community out reaches and TVs and Radios.

Our project will be sustainable through creating Health care centers where people come for liver check up and treatment in order to prevent livers diseases that might have developed due to alcohol consumption. Health events, where people pay some money to participate to drama and arts that provide educative information, about how alcohol affects the body and the well-being of people. Through counseling people will contribute some consultation fees to support the project and we shall provide youths activities like soap making as they ways of preventing youth who are at risks of being developing alcoholism because of being idols to participating in the income generating project and benefit from it.
Some of the barriers to our solution are, lack Organizations that are also working on the same problem as our partners. Reaching youth living in rural areas due to lack of transport and funds to buy learning materials like, projectors to enable youth watch the videos on how alcohol affects the body. Lack of financial support to start income generating project that could enable the project to be self sustainable and create positive impact in youths who are at risks of developing alcohol related diseases and problems
