In Bangladesh, there has no centralized online healthcare system from where a citizen can get all the healthcare services they need. Even most of the healthcare services right now in Bangladesh is analog system. That’s why people are facing difficulties during collecting medicine or essential health products from one shop to another shop. Doctor’s Appointment System, Emergency Ambulance, Blood & Nursing Service is not available to the hands of people. Specially women are mentally being harassed during collecting their personal products. Due to lack of health records and obscure hand writing in prescriptions, patients are not getting appropriate treatment from doctors. This lacking has left us far behind from the developed countries.

Our startup “MediZone” is the first, only and complete digital healthcare platform in Bangladesh which gives all the healthcare services and products, a person need from his/her birth till death through a single platform by providing eHealth Card.

1. Very few people surviving without medicines or consultancy from health professionals. So they need to –

- take appointment of doctor/diagnostic center.

- purchase medicine from shop.

- call ambulance emergency.

- collect emergency blood. find information about hospitals and diagnostic centers and so on

But maximum of this procedure is analog system which consumes a lot of time and causes anxiety to the patients.

2. Most of the patients don’t have any health

record either they lost their reports or don’t give importance to the reports
and Can not memorize their Diseases & medicine using history as well. Which
is also the prominent cause of improper treatment.

There are very few people who are surviving without medicines or consultancy from health professionals. So, according to this concept we claim almost every people (157.9 million) of Bangladesh will undergo throughout our service. From urban to the remote areas of village, almost every people will be benefited.

# Specially the corporate job holders who are very much busy with their job, we think our service is essential for them to save their valuable times. They are conscious about their health also, so as a digital healthcare platform “MediZone” will be their first choice.

# We’re giving our solutions by providing QR and BAR code readable eHealth card which will act as the archive of total health records of peoples where each and every people and doctor will have a particular health account which can be accessed by both readable eHealth card or directly in website by mobile or computer. Doctors will prescribe by computer and the records will be saved in the patients’ ehealth account thus ensuring the proper treatment of patient.

# All the diagnostic centers will have an account and the diagnostic reports will be saved at the patient’s ehealth account which will help doctors for observing the current and previous health condition of patients during prescribing.

# Ambulance is an essential and emergency need of our society which is available in township but not available everywhere in Bangladesh. We’re creating a central ambulance data base of the whole country to provide emergency ambulance service throughout our website.

# Every year thousands of patients suffer and ultimately die due to lack of blood supply during their treatment. We’re gathering all the organizations, blood banks and blood donors under a single roof, so that emergency blood can easily be found for patients.

# For take caring of aged people or any patients, we’re creating a platform for hiring a nurse.

# A huge amount of time is consumed and the patient suffers a lot for getting an appointment of a doctor or a diagnostic center, where our Online Appointment system will help them to get the appointment easily from home and the probable visiting time will be send to the patient’s mobile by SMS.

# Almost every people specially women face difficulties during buying their health care products. In our website, we are gathering all the domestic and foreign medicine, Medical device, Mother and baby products, Nutritional, Herbal, Personal and Sexual products which can be bought through our website with home delivery service from home or anywhere they want.

# Sometimes, our peoples learn about good health from nonprofessional, unknown and unrecognized source which is threatening to their health. In our website, we have created a platform where people will learn about good health from the health professionals.

# We have also created a platform where people may ask their queries to the doctor and the registered doctor will give them answer. 

As MediZone is serving people through getting medicines reached to them from this inspiration, we have been thinking to serve people more by offering other necessary services which can upgrade the health system from analog era such as Doctors online appointment service, Ambulance service, Hospital and diagnostic service, emergency blood service and nursing service. But the service that makes our project innovative is “eHealth card”.

This “eHealth card” is the first for the total population of Bangladesh in which the whole information about health of any person from birth to death can be known. As a result, treatment will be more effective than before. Because, they will have a chance to analyze the previous information before prescribing. In this card,  not only the information about drugs used by patients  but also the info about their previous diagnostic reports, blood pressure, level of creatinine in blood, age and sex will be known.

This card will help to decrease the improper treatment and let our health system ahead minimum one era.

With the description stated above, we can strongly conclude that “eHealth card” makes our project (Medizone) innovative.

We strongly believe that our solution will address the peoples’ problems.

# First logic: Firstly we have selected the problems which I along with my friends and family everyday face. Then we thought how to solve these. As people are facing these problems every day, they want to come out of these problems. So if we will be able to make our service expand, cordially this will be accepted by them.

# Second for health professional: As improper treatment is a buzz occurrence published in the newspaper almost every week, there is a great deal of gap among the health professionals, patients and guardians of patients. If Health professionals find the whole information about patients, there will have a chance to treat properly. Although this ehealth card directly helps health professionals, it also assists the patients indirectly. 

# Third logic: We also combine all the solution to the problem through our project (MediZone). For these practical reasons, we expect our solution to address problems.

Currently, we are serving over 13,000 people in the tangail city. In next one year we will be serving over 70,000. In next five years, we will be addressing at least 1,500,000 because of the exponential market demand.

Hankering after achieving new goals is a common criteria of startups. We are not dissimilar to that. We have already set up our plans over the next year and next five years.

# Next year: Since we the co-founders of MediZone.com.bd, are now students, we have planned little comparatively for the next year. We will have sustained our enterprise uniquely in Tangail district by next year. Our home delivery medicine serve, Emergency blood donation around the whole country, Ambulance service between Dhaka and Tangail, Nursing service and hospital’s information within tangail district are the next achievable target by next year we realize.

# Next five years: Within the next five years, MediZone will offer its service up to the upazilla level around the whole country.

1. Financial barriers: Financial barriers are the common features in our country for any enterprise. But this is being addressed as huge amount of investment are coming to scale up startup from foreign investors. Moreover Govt. is trying heart and soul to create an outstanding atmosphere for start-up. But one thing is very important for the enterprise to bring first huge amount of investment for our startup and the rest to create new idea for implementation to triumph the market and keep up the customers.
2. Technical barriers: Technical barrier is the most probable barrier. Because, we still can not belief on the software company located in Bangladesh. For this reason, better technical people and technology may be imported.
3. Legality: In this sector, Bangladesh has improved and still working to improve. So we think that we will not face any crisis for legality.
4. Cultural: There is a proverb “Culture grows culture”. As people are getting benefits from our website or service, then they will be willing to take our service. So creation of culture is the task of us through serving, effective marketing and advertising to get our service to people.
5. Market Barriers: Market barrier is the beauty of startup. If we get investment from this platform, we will be able to hire talents executives who will assist us to break the barriers.

We have planned to overcome these problems if we get investment from your organization. How we will overcome these problems included below:

# To remove financial barriers: To remove financial barriers, we will critically and properly investigate to reduce the unnecessary operation costing. Moreover we will strengthen our audit department by hiring professional accountants. Another barrier is to be invested on our company to promote. Through connected with customers fairly, we can attract the investors always.

# Technical barriers can be solved properly by partnership with any reputed software company.

# Legality is not counted as barrier to us.

# Cultural barrier can be addressed by strengthening our team. 

# Market barrier can be solved by making new market . Thus we can also get new experience of the new market. Moreover the way to overcome the barriers may be dependent on the future situation.
