Newton Smart Home Device

Newton IoT makes smart home devices for reducing electrical energy waste and modernize our country. Users can control 5 electronic appliances (Light,fan) from home and outside with our smart home device. Our smart home solution are reducing electricity energy waste by giving users more control on their electronic appliances when they are at home and outside of home. We are also modernizing our country with our IoT and smart home solution. 

Bangladesh currently produce 21,419 MW electricity and more than 10% electricity wasted by household and factories. There are still around 7% in people in Bangladesh live without electricity, which was 53 percent before 2009. If we can reduce electricity waste in household and industry with our smart solutions, we may serve those 7% people without electricity in next few years.

We are currently targeting upper middle class families, higher class families and corporate offices for our smart home solutions. They are primarily interested in our smart home devices and these people consume high amount of electricity in their daily life. 

Users can control 5 electronic appliances (Light,fan) from home and outside with our smart home device. We have build our devices from scratch, we have developed mobile application, designed circuit board, designed casing in solidworks and printed on 3D print.

IoT and smart home solutions are new concepts in Bangladesh. Only few local startups trying to make smart home devices. We have designed our product in innovative and user friendly way, users can easily add our smart home device under their switch board. They don't need change any switch board or anything, it's really easy to install. Most smart home devices using in our country are imported from China and USA, most of their services are not available in Bangladesh and imported IoT devices are often very complicated to install. We are also more than 40% cost effective than imported devices. 

Smart home solutions have high demand in Bangladesh. Our country adopts new technology very fast, Example: Smartphone. We have plan to sell 50,000 units of smart home devices in next 5 years which can reduce large number of electricity energy waste and improve lifestyle of people in our country.  

We have currently sold 20 units of smart home devices in Dhaka and serving 20 families. We will serve 500 - 1000 families by 2020 and 50,000 families by next 5 years.

We will raise funds from personal sources, angel investors, VCs to overcome financial barriers. 

We will hire engineers from different part of the world to overcome technology barrier. We will also hire IoT experts and mentors for strategic support. 

We will develop a R&D lab locally in our office for product development. 

Our startup name is Newton IoT. Our solution name is Newton Smart Home Solution.

We have 4 team members working in our team including me. I'm working full time in business development and management. Fahim Shahoriar is full time IoT engineer and software developer. Mimnur Rashid is 3D designer. Fariha Bashshat is working in marketing. 

Our IoT engineer, Fahim Shahoriar has 4+ years of experience in developing IoT and robotics related products. Our 3D designer and casing designer Mimnur Rashid has 3+ years experience in solidworks autocad software and electronic product development. Mimnur Rashid has also graduated from best engineering school of country (BUET). Fariha is passionate about networking and expert on B2B sales.

We will generate revenue by selling our smart home devices/products. For 1st 1000 customers we are collaborating with corporate offices, building developer companies and service platforms like Handymama

We will sustain through selling our smart home devices, raising investment capital and selling equity. 

We are looking for funding and mentorship support. We will be glad if any tech team from MIT guide us about our startup. 

We would like collaborate with BASIS and ICT Ministry. We are also interested about collaborating with MIT, BUET and Dhaka University IT Clubs.
